本课以对话的形式介绍了马克吐温及其代表作品《汤姆索亚历险记》，一是向学生介绍名家；二是引导学生阅读名著。
本单元的重点是听懂关于人物过去生活经历的对话，通过反复听读来突破。
本节课的难点是学习不规则动词的过去式变化，并通过具体语境强化学生对一般过去时这一语言形式的掌握，通过反复诵读及情境运用来克服。
3.学情分析学生已经接触了前两个模块的一般过去时，已经了解一般过去时态的用法及规则动词的变化规则及读音，但本课不规则动词过去式的写法和用法难度大，描述人物过去生活经历没有任何印象，本课学习中学习不规则动词的过去式。
能够了解著名作家和世界名著，增长知识丰富情感，提高人文素养，还可学会描述自己的过去经历。

本班学生年龄大都在12岁左右。
刚刚由小学升入到初中，有些孩子稚气未脱，但是绝大多数学生都能够意识到学习的重要性。
并且课堂上能够做到认真听课，积极思考，踊跃回答问题，并且课下也能按时完成作业。
孩子们在小学已经有了四年的英语学习经验，因此初中英语对他们来说并不难以接受，且从三年级开始都是统一使用的外研社版本的教材，在升入七年级后，课本还有四个中小学链接模块。
因此学生们现在对英语的学习表现出积极性和初步的自信心。
能听懂有关熟悉话题的语段和简短的故事。
能与教师或同学进行熟悉话题的交流。
能尝试使用适当的学习方法，客服学习中遇到的困难。
能意识到语言交际中存在的文化差异。
本节课的教学对象是阳谷第二实验中学七年级的学生，该班学生在英语学习上普遍有着浓厚的兴趣，能够积极按照老师要求进行学习。
把对他们学习的重点放在了知识的继续积累和巩固复习上，为了使学生牢固掌握以往所学知识，在教学的过程中，教师们起到了指引，启发，解惑的作用，帮助学生认识接受知识，归纳整理知识，从而提高复习效果。
本课是外语研究出版社七年级下册module9的unit1，其中重点是需要学生掌握本单元的new words and new phrases；其次还要求他们掌握本单元的不规则动词的过去式.刚上课的时候我设置了一些问题来引导他们进入本单元要学习的范围里，又用了多媒体课件，有声音，有图像，这极大地调动了学生的积极性，使之都非常愿意参与进来，就为他们更好地掌握本单元的知识奠定了基础。
为了调动学生参与课堂，我设计了多种评价方式，有个人评价，也有小组评价，并针对学生在课堂上的表现，及时进行表扬，而且使评价更具有公正性。
总之，本节课在教师的引导帮助下，全体学生的潜力得到很大限度的挖掘，智力好的学生吃得饱，中等水平的学生吸收得好，差的学生消化得了，学生人人学有所得。
课堂教学中充分体现师生平等、教学民主的思想，师生信息交流畅通，情感交流融洽，合作和谐，配合默契，教与学的气氛达到最优化，课堂教学效果达到最大化。
