Today I want to tell you all about my life at school and what I dream of for the future.School is really fun for me! I love learning new things every day. My favorite subjects are math and science because I'm super curious about how things work. In math class, I get excited whenwe learn new formulas and solve challenging word problems. Science is awesome too - I find it fascinating to learn about things like planets, animals, electricity and more. Whenever we do experiments, I pay extra close attention. I dream of becoming a scientist one day to make amazing discoveries!Recess time is the best part of the school day though! I have a blast running around the playground and playing games like tag and basketball with my friends. We make up so many fun activities together. Sometimes we even put on little talent showsand perform skits, sing songs or do magic tricks for each other. My friends are like my second family and I cherish them dearly.I'm quite active in school clubs and activities too. I'm a member of the Science Club where we learn about cool scientific concepts through hands-on projects. I also joined the School Choir this year and love harmonizing with my classmates. On top of that, I volunteer with a group that helps clean up our local park and beach. It makes me happy to give back to the community. That's why one of my biggest dreams is to make my parents proud and repay them for everything they've done for me. I want to study diligently, get excellent grades, and go to a top university. Then after graduating, I hope to land an amazing job that I'm passionate about - maybe as a physicist uncovering the secrets of the universe or an engineer designing new rocket ships! No matter what though, I'll never stop pursuing my other big dreams too. I dream of traveling around the world to learn about different cultures and make friends from all backgrounds. I dream of using my skills and knowledge to create inventions that can truly benefit society. And most of all, I dream of living life tothe fullest - constantly growing, having new adventures, and leaving a positive impact on the world. For now though, I'm just focused on being the best student and person I can be each day. School life keeps me busy with learning, activities and fun times with friends. Even with its ups and downs, I cherish every moment. These are the days I'll always look back on with immense happiness and nostalgia. This is the magical time that's shaping who I'll become. So that's a glimpse into my wonderful school life and the big dreams that drive me. Thanks for letting me share my story with you! I've got many more amazing days ahead at Sunshine Elementary. Who knows what adventures and possibilities await?I can't wait to find out!篇2My Awesome Summer VacationYay, summer vacation is finally here! I'm so excited because I get to sleep late, play all day, and have tons of fun! Mom and Dad promised to take me on an amazing trip too. I can't wait! The first week of vacation was pretty chill. I just hung out at home, playing video games and watching cartoons. My bestfriend Tommy came over a few times and we had epic Nerf gun battles in the backyard. We made forts out of blankets and couch cushions to use as bases. It was an all-out war! My little sister Katie tried to join in, but we told her she was too little. She got really mad and told on us to Mom. Oops! The second week, my family went camping at a national park a few hours away. We stayed in a cool cabin in the woods. In the mornings, we went on long hikes to see waterfalls, cliffs, and lots of trees and plants. The hiking guides taught us about all the different plants and animals. I saw a real live snake slithering across the trail! It was scary but exciting. In the afternoons, we swam in this big lake. The water was freezing cold at first, but after a while, it felt really refreshing on such a hot day. We made s'mores around the campfire at night while my dad told ghost stories that gave me goosebumps.Next, we went to visit my grandparents in their little hometown for a few days. They live on a farm out in the countryside. There were cows, pigs, chickens, and even a few goats roaming around! My grandpa showed me how to milk the cows and collect the chicken eggs. Getting that close to big farm animals was kind of nerve-wracking, but also fascinating. My grandma taught me how to bake her famous apple pie usingapples she picked from her orchard. It was delicious! My cousins came over one day and we had a big watermelon seed spitting contest in the backyard. We made such a huge mess but it was hilarious. After that, we visited the big city to see my aunt, uncle and cousins for my cousin Clara's 10th birthday party. It was at this huge indoor playground with all kinds of crazy slides, bounce houses, climbing walls, and obstacle courses. We jumped and played for hours until we were completely worn out. That night, we went to an amusement park and rode so many wild roller coasters and rides. My favorite was the Windseeker, which swings you way up into the sky and spins you all around. My stomach did a few flips but it was thrilling! The whole day was an adrenaline rush.On our drive back home, we stopped at the beach for a couple of days. I love the beach so much! I could spend all day just playing in the ocean waves and building sandcastles. This time, I finally convinced my parents to let me try surfing lessons. The instructor was really nice and helped me catch a few small waves on my board. Surfing is harder than it looks but it felt awesome when I actually rode a wave without falling off! We also went on a cool nature cruise around the bay and saw lots ofdolphins swimming alongside our boat. At night, we wrote messages in the sand with glow sticks and had a bonfire cookout with hot dogs and s'mores. So much fun!My summer vacation was absolutely epic. I got to experience so many amazing adventures and make so many wonderful memories with my family. School starts again soon, but I'll never forget this summer. It was the best one ever! I just hope next summer can be half as exciting. Maybe we'll even get to go to Disneyland or Hawaii. A kid can dream, right? I can't wait to tell my friends all about my awesome vacation when I see them at school again. I'm sure they'll be totally jealous!篇3My Exciting Experience with the 2023 Guangdong English ExamHi, my name is Xiaoming, and I'm a 5th-grade student at Sunshine Elementary School in Guangzhou. I want to tell you all about my experience with the 2023 Guangdong English Exam because it was super exciting and a little bit scary too!You see, in our province, the English exam is a really big deal. All the teachers and parents talk about how important it is to do well on this test. They say it can help us get into good middleschools and high schools later on. At first, I didn't really understand why one test was so important, but as the exam date got closer, I started to feel a little nervous. Our English teacher, Miss Li, is really nice and patient. She always encourages us to practice our English skills, like reading, writing, listening, and speaking. In the months leading up to the exam, we did lots of practice tests and activities in class. Miss Li would give us tips and tricks on how to approach different types of questions and how to manage our time during the exam. One thing that really helped me prepare was doing lots of reading practice. My favorite book series is about a group of friends who go on adventures and solve mysteries. Reading these books in English not only improved my vocabulary and comprehension but also made me excited to learn more about the language. As the exam day approached, my parents and I made sure I got plenty of rest and ate a nutritious breakfast. On the morning of the exam, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness in my tummy. When we arrived at the exam center, there were so many students and parents milling around. It was a little overwhelming, but my parents gave me words of encouragement, and I tried to stay calm and focused. The first section of the exam was listening comprehension. We had to listen to different recordings and answer questions about what we heard. I remembered Miss Li's advice to listen carefully and not get distracted by background noise or unfamiliar accents. I tried my best to concentrate and write down the key information.Next up was the reading section, which was my favorite part. There were passages about different topics, like animals, sports, and famous people. I used the strategies Miss Li taught us, like skimming for the main idea and scanning for specific details. Some of the questions were tricky, but I did my best to understand the passages and answer accurately. After a short break, we moved on to the writing section. We had to write a short essay on a given topic. I took a few deep breaths and tried to organize my thoughts before starting to write. I remembered to include an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, just like we practiced in class. The last section was speaking, which was a littlenerve-wracking but also kind of fun. We had to answer questions and describe pictures or situations. I tried to speak clearly and confidently, using the vocabulary and expressions we had learned in class. When the exam was finally over, I felt a huge sense of relief and accomplishment. It was challenging, but I had worked hard and done my best. On the way home, my parents treated me to my favorite dinner to celebrate.A few weeks later, the results were released, and I was thrilled to see that I had scored really well on the exam! All that hard work and preparation had paid off. My parents were so proud of me, and Miss Li congratulated me too.Looking back, the 2023 Guangdong English Exam was a big milestone for me. It taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, time management, and the importance of practicing and preparing. I also realized that learning English is not just about passing exams; it's a skill that can open up so many opportunities and allow me to communicate with people from all over the world. As I move on to middle school, I plan to continue working hard on my English studies. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be fluent enough to travel to an English-speaking country or even pursue a career that involves using English regularly. For now, I'm just proud of how far I've come and excited for the next chapter of my English learning journey.篇4My Dream VacationHi, everyone! My name is Amy, and I am a primary school student from Guangdong. Today, I want to share with you my dream vacation. In the summer of 2023, I had the most amazing adventure with my family. The trees were tall and lush, and there were so many different kinds of plants and flowers. We took a hike and saw monkeys swinging from tree to tree. I felt like I was in a real-life jungle book! One of the most exciting things we did was visiting a local fishing village. We learned how to fish from the friendly fishermen. They taught us how to cast a net and catch fish. It was so much fun! After that, we enjoyed a delicious seafood feast. I tried all kinds of fresh seafood, like shrimp, crabs, and fish. Yummy!Another highlight of our trip was visiting a traditional Li village. The Li people are a minority group in Hainan with a unique culture. We saw their traditional dances and listened to their beautiful music. I even got to try on their colorful costumes. It was like traveling back in time!Lastly, we visited the famous Nanshan Temple. The temple was so grand and peaceful. We lit incense sticks and made wishes for good luck. I felt so calm and happy inside the temple. They were so mischievous and full of energy. I couldn't help but laugh at their funny antics. I wished I could join them and swing from branch to branch just like they did.One of the highlights of the day was the dolphin show. The dolphins were so smart and talented. They jumped through hoops, performed tricks, and splashed water on the audience. It was such a delight to watch them! I couldn't stop smiling throughout the entire show. The zoo also had a section for reptiles. I have always been fascinated by snakes and lizards. Even though they looked a bit scary, I found them intriguing. I learned about different species and their unique characteristics. It was like being in a real-life science lesson! As the day came to an end, I felt a mix of emotions. I was sad to leave the zoo, but I was also grateful for the incredible experience. It was a day filled with wonder, excitement, and learning. I realized the importance of protecting animals and their habitats so that future generations can also enjoy their beauty.Visiting the Guangdong Zoo was truly an amazing adventure. It opened my eyes to the wonders of the animal kingdom. I will cherish the memories I made there forever. I hope one day I can visit the zoo again and continue to learn about and appreciate the diverse creatures that share our planet.Remember, we should always respect and protect our animal friends. They deserve our love and care. Let's work together to make this world a better place for them and for ourselves. That's all for now. Thank you for listening to my zoo adventure. 2023年广东高校联盟学位英语考试试卷的写作

2023年广东高校联盟学位英语考试试卷的写作全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Big English Test AdventureHi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm 10 years old. I just took the craziest, most exciting test ever - the 2023 Guangdong University Alliance Degree English Test! Let me tell you all about my big English test adventure. It all started a few months ago when my mom and dad told me I'd be taking a really important English exam. I was like "An English test? But I'm just a kid!" They explained that even though I'm still in elementary school, this test would let me get a university degree when I'm older if I did well. A university degree?! That's what growns-ups get. I didn't really understand at the time, but they said it was a great opportunity for me.So for weeks, my parents made me study reallyreally hard. English words, grammar, reading, listening - my head was spinning! I'm pretty good at English usually, but man, this test covered absolutely everything. My parents kept saying "Thiscould decide your whole future! You have to take it seriously." The pressure was on!Finally, test day arrived. We headed to the exam center bright and early. There were sooo many other kids and teenagers there, all looking a little nervous. The exam was being held in a huge auditorium packed full of desks. It felt like the entire stadium was holding its breath as the supervisors passed out the test papers. Then..."You may begin!"The first section was listening. Headphones on, I heard all sorts of conversations, lectures, and recordings playing through the speakers. I had to answer comprehension questions about what I heard. Phew, that was intense! No time to rest though, as we immediately jumped into the reading section next. There were long essays and articles to read through carefully and analyze. My eyes started getting a little tired after an hour of nonstop reading. We broke for a snack and I regained my energy, because the writing section was up next. I had to write a whole essay from scratch, using proper vocabulary, grammar, and essay structure. Showing off those English skills! I wrote about my favorite TV show and how it has helped me learn English through watching it. Hopefully the graders like it.Finally, the last section: the speaking test. One-by-one, each of us got called into a separate room with an evaluator. We had to have an entire conversation face-to-face, all in English! The evaluator asked me all kinds of questions: introducing myself, describing my hobbies, retelling a story, explaining a process, and more. I did my best to speak as naturally and fluently as possible. After what felt like an eternity, the speaking test wrapped up. We were finally, mercifully, done! As I walked out with my parents, I felt like a million pounds had been lifted off my shoulders. Completing that beast of a test was such an incredible relief. So why did I go through this grueling English exam as a10-year-old? Well, getting a degree at a young age could open up amazing opportunities for me down the road. If I score high enough, I could get admitted to top universities when I'm older without having to take their entrance exams. I might even be able to work or study abroad someday. Either way, it was a crazy, challenging, but awesome experience! That's the story of my big English test adventure. I gave it my absolute best effort, but we'll have to wait and see what the results are. Wish me luck! An experience like this has definitelyprepared me for any English exams or challenges heading my way. If you're reading this and have a huge test coming up, study hard, stay focused, and most importantly - believe in yourself! You've got this!篇2Hiya friends! Today I'm going to tell you all about this super important test I had to take called the Guangdong University Alliance English Test for Degree writing section. It was a big deal because it helps show if you're good enough at writing in English to get an advanced degree. Pretty crazy, right? When I first heard about it, I was like "Uh oh, this sounds really hard!" Writing in English is not easy, especially for long essays. There are so many little rules to remember about grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and all that. But my teachers said it would be good practice and an impressive achievement if I could pass. So I decided to give it my best shot!To get ready, I studied examples of high-scoring essays from past years. There were some on opinion topics like "Should kids have access to the internet?" and "What is the importance of reading?" Other prompts asked you to explain a concept or describe an experience. No matter the question, the essays allfollowed the same basic structure - an introductory paragraph, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph. Easy enough to remember, right? The intro paragraph is where you grab the reader's attention with an interesting opening line or funky fact. Then you preview the main points your essay will cover. For the body paragraphs, each one should focus on a single main idea with plenty of specific details and examples to back it up. And the conclusion just restates your key points and leaves the reader with a final thought-provoking perspective. Seems pretty straightforward when you break it down like that! But just having the right structure isn't enough. The graders also look at your language skills. You need to use advanced vocabulary words, a variety of sentence structures (not just short, simple sentences), proper spelling and grammar, and clear transitions between ideas. Using discourse markers like "additionally," "in contrast," or "for example" really helps make your writing flow smoothly. It's a lot to keep in mind! When test day finally came around, I have to admit I was pretty nervous. What if I went totally blank and couldn't think of anything to write? Or worse, what if my essay was just a ramblingmess? I took a few deep breaths to calm down before putting my pencil to that test booklet. The prompt I got asked me to discuss the characteristics of a great leader. Not gonna lie, it was kind of a tricky topic at first. But I went back to the outline format I practiced and just started filling it in step-by-step. First I grabbed the reader's attention by asking "What makes someone a great leader that others are inspired to follow?" Then I previewed that my essay would discuss three key traits: vision, integrity, and communication skills. For the first body paragraph, I discussed how true leaders need to have a clear, compelling vision that motivates people and provides direction. I gave examples like Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and how President Roosevelt had a vision for leading America out of the Great Depression.Next, I explained that integrity and strong morals are vital for a leader to earn respect and loyalty from followers. I talked about how we look up to leaders who "practice what they preach" and don't compromise their values just to be popular. In my third body paragraph, I described the importance of strong communication abilities. Even the most brilliant vision won't go anywhere if the leader can't clearly and inspiringlyconvey it to others. I used the example of tech company CEOs who have to persuasively pitch their company's mission and values. Finally, I summed it all up in my conclusion by restating the three key traits - vision, integrity, and communication skills. And I left the reader with a final thought-provoking line about how truly great leaders create positive change in the world by inspiring others to achieve remarkable things.Phew, when I was finally done I felt both relieved and proud of myself! It wasn't a perfect essay by any means, but I had covered all the main points in an organized way using lots of descriptive examples and vocabulary I learned. About a month later when my score came back, I was overjoyed to see that I passed! All that hard work and practice really paid off.So if any of you ever have to take an important writing test like this, try not to stress too much. Just follow the outline format you've practiced, use descriptive examples and transition words, and don't forget to grab the reader's interest with a catchy opening line. If a little kid like me could pass, I know all of you brilliant students can too! Just take it step-by-step and believe in yourselves. Happy studying, friends!篇3The Super Hard Writing TestHi everyone! Today I'm going to tell you all about the really really hard writing test I had to take. It was called the 2023 Guangdong University Alliance English Proficiency Test writing section. That's a really long name for a test!I had to wake up super early because the test started at 8am on a Saturday morning. My mom made me eat a big breakfast with eggs, rice, and vegetables to give me energy. Then we took the bus to the test center. When we got there, there were sooooo many students waiting outside. We all had to line up and then they checked our IDs to make sure we were the right people. I was really nervous my tummy had butterflies! Finally, they let us into the big room where the test was. There were desks everywhere and it was super quiet. A proctor lady showed me where to sit. She seemed pretty strict and told us we couldn't make any noise or we'd get in trouble.Once everyone was seated, the proctor passed out the test booklets. They were really thick! I got nervous again when I sawhow many pages it was. The writing section was towards the back. For the first writing task, we had to read a short paragraph about environmental protection and then write a response of around 200 words. That's a lot of words for a kid! The paragraph said we need to conserve energy, recycle, and protect nature. In my essay, I wrote about how me and my friends always make sure to turn off lights when we leave a room to save electricity. We also bring reusable water bottles to school instead of buying lots of plastic ones. On weekend field trips, we pick up any trash we see on hiking trails too. Taking care of the environment is super important! The second writing task was even harder. We had to read two longer passages that disagreed with each other. One was about allowing more video games in schools and the other one was against it. Then we had to write an essay of around 300 words giving our own opinion.I found this one really tricky because there were good points on both sides. Video games can be fun and teach problem solving, but too much gaming isn't good either. In the end, I wrote that video games are ok in moderation as a reward afterfinishing other work. But Schools shouldn't go overboard with them.By the time I finished writing, my hand was super cramped up. Writing with a pen for hours is hard! I was pretty tired but proud that I did my best. When the test was finally over, my mom took me out for my favorite noodle soup. I really earned it after that brutal writing exam! I'll get my score back in a couple weeks. Hopefully I did ok, but either way I'm just glad it's over. Tests like that are no fun at all! That's the whole story about the tough writing test I had to take. It was way harder than any in-class essay I've done before. But I tried my hardest and now I don't have to worry about it anymore. Thank goodness that's done!Let me know if you've ever had to take a really hard test like that. Us kids have to work way too hard sometimes! But look on the bright side - at least I got noodles after! Yummy in my tummy!篇4The Big Huge English Test for Grown-UpsLast week, my big sister took a really big and important test called the "Guangdong University Alliance Degree English Examination." She's in college and had to take this big test to get her degree. I'm just a kid in elementary school, but I got to see what the writing part of the test was like when she was studying for it. It looked super hard! For the writing section, you had to write two essays - an "argumentative" essay and a "substantive" essay. Those are some pretty big words that I had to ask my sister to explain. An argumentative essay means you have to pick a side on an issue and make a strong argument for why you think that side is right.A substantive essay is where you take a topic and go really deep, explaining it with a lot of details and examples.Just thinking about having to write two long essays like that in English makes my hand cramp up! I can barely write one short paragraph without getting tired. My sister had to write for hours proving she could communicate clearly and persuasively in English. She said being able to express yourself well in writing is a hugely important skill, especially in today's global world. I'll take her word for it!For the argumentative essay, you had to take a stance on some controversial issue and defend your position using logic, facts, and reasoning. Some of the sample prompts I saw were things like "Should graphic warning labels be required on unhealthy food products?" and "Is banning private car ownership an effective way to reduce emissions and traffic?" Those seem like pretty grown-up topics to me! How is a kid supposed to have a strong opinion on that stuff? My sister showed me some examples of good argumentative essays and they all followed the same basic structure. First, you state your position on the issue right at the beginning in a clear thesis statement. Then you have a bunch of body paragraphs where you back up your thesis with evidence and reasoning. Finally, you conclusion to restate your main point and suggest broader implications. It seemed really hard to make a compelling argument without just stating your opinion over and over. You had to anticipate counterarguments, address them, and then explain why your position was still stronger based on the facts. My sister said the key was using good transitional phrases like "Whereas opponents might claim..." and "However, this perspective fails to account for..." I don't even know what half of those words mean! The substantive essay was maybe even harder because you had to go so in-depth on a complex topic. Some of the sampleprompts were super dense subjects like "The role of technology in revolutionizing modern healthcare" and "Examining the psychological impacts of social media on youth." When I'm writing, I can barely get through a few sentences without getting distracted by something else going on.But for this part of the test, you had to write a long,multi-paragraph essay that did a deep-dive into the nuances of the subject. You needed a clear thesis, lots of specific examples and evidence, and a logical organization that walked the reader through each part of the topic. It was basically like writing a miniature research paper or something! My sister had all these books and articles spread out over her desk that she was reading to prepare for substantive essay topics. She highlighted important facts and made lots of notes in the margins. I could never focus that hard on something for that long without wanting to take a break and go play outside. Even just listening to her trying to explain some of the example essays to me made my eyes glaze over. I didn't understand most of the words she was using! What I did understand though, was that doing well on both of these essay types required being able to write professionally in English. You had to have a really solid grasp of grammar, vocabulary, organization and all the tiny details that go into coherent and cohesive writing. My sister said she had to practice writing essays timed and everything to build her stamina. When she actually took the test, she had to write those two huge essays by hand, in English, within a strict time limit. Just the thought of that makes my hand cramp up! I'm still working on making sure I write neatly and don't make too many silly spelling mistakes in my weekly journal entries for school. I can't imagine having to pump out academic essays like that under pressure. It sounds like torture! My sister seemed to take it all in stride though. She's amazing at speaking, reading and writing in English since she started learning it at such a young age. I'm kind of jealous of how talented she is with languages. Math and science are more my thing - all those grammar rules and endless vocabulary words give me a headache.I probably sound like a big baby complaining so much since it's not even me who had to take this crazy difficult test. I'm just a little kid though, so cut me some slack! The 2023 Guangdong University Alliance Degree English Examination writing section seemed impossibly hard from my perspective. I'll be glad if I can get through elementary school without flunking my weeklycreative writing assignments. Tests like that are definitely a grown-up thing. But who knows, maybe if I study and practice really hard like my sister does, I can be that awesome at English writing someday too. Although let's be honest, being a talented writer in English is probably not as fun or important as being really good at video games. Now those are some valuable skills! I'm going to go practice those instead of writing any more essays. Peace out!篇5The Big Important English TestMy name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I'm in 5th grade and I really really like English class. My teacher Miss Li is so nice and she makes learning English super fun! We sing songs, play games, and read cool stories from English books. I'm getting pretty good at speaking and understanding English. But this year, there was a very big, important English test that all the older kids had to take. It was called the Guangdong University Alliance English Test. My older sister Meimei is in high school and she had to take this test. She studied really really hard for it.At first, I didn't know much about this test. But then Meimei started telling me about how crucial and make-or-break it was. She said it would decide if she could get into a good university or not. I got kind of scared for her! It sounded so high stakes.Meimei explained that the test had four sections - listening, reading, writing, and speaking. For the listening part, you had to listen to recordings and answer questions about what you heard. The reading had long passages to read and comprehension questions. For the writing section, you had to write an essay about a certain topic in a limited time. And for speaking, you had to answer questions and describe pictures and situations out loud. It all sounded really hard and intense!Meimei had to take classes and practice tests for months to get ready. She would come home exhausted from studying every night. Sometimes she would stay up late reviewing vocabulary words or essay prompts. I felt bad seeing her work so hard. Finally, the week of the big test came. Meimei was incredibly nervous. She triple checked that she had all her pencils, eraser, ID, admission ticket, and everything she needed. The morning of the test, my parents made her favorite dumplings for breakfast to help motivate her. When Meimei left for the testing center, my whole family cheered her on. We told her she was going to do amazing because she prepared so well. I gave her a big hug for good luck.I was nervous too, hoping she would do well on this crucial test.Meimei was at the test site for like 5 hours! It was a marathon test day. When she finally came home, she looked exhausted but relieved to have it over with. We bombarded her with questions about how it went. She said the listening was okay, the reading was hard with some confusing passages, the essay topic wasn't too bad, and she struggled a bit with the spontaneous speaking questions. Overall, she felt pretty good about her performance but wasn't sure if she hit the high score she needed. The agonizing wait began for her results to come out weeks later. Meimei was checking the test website like a million times a day, desperate for her score. She kept saying how this one test score could decide her entire future university prospects. At last, the scores were released online. We were all huddled around the computer, holding our breaths as Meimei logged in. She gasped...and started crying...tears of joy! She got an amazing score, one of the highest in the province! We all cheered and hugged and celebrated.Meimei had worked so incredibly hard, sacrificing fun times to diligently study and prepare. Her perseverance and work ethic paid off in a huge way with her outstanding English test score. She could now apply to all the top universities confidently.Watching Meimei go through this intense English exam process was really eye-opening for me, even though I'm just a little kid. I realized how hugely important tests like this are for getting into good schools. And how mastering English skills is a vital key to academic and career success nowadays.I have a few more years before I'll be taking big high stakes tests like this one. But Meimei's experience inspired me to keep working hard on my English, little by little. That way, when it's my turn, I'll feel prepared and confident too.Tests can be intimidating, but with discipline and diligence, you can overcome that big hurdle. My sister proved that thinking ahead, making a smart study plan, and putting in the hard work pays off. Who knows, maybe I'll ace a huge test like that one day too! For now, I'll keep practicing my English skills every day.篇6My Big Sister Took a Really Important English TestHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 8 years old. I'm in2nd grade at Sunshine Elementary School here in Guangzhou. I'm going to tell you all about when my big sister Meimei took this really big important English test called the 2023 Guangdong University Alliance English Test for Academic Purposes. It's a really long name but everyone just calls it the GUAT for short.Meimei is a senior in college this year at Sun Yat-sen University, which is one of the best universities in Guangdong Province. She studies international business and wants to work for a big company doing business all over the world after she graduates. That's why she had to take the GUAT - because it tests your English skills for university studies.Meimei studied really really hard for this test. She took a prep class and everything! I remember she would sit at her desk for hours every night after dinner working on GUAT practice tests and essays. Sometimes I would sneak into her room and see all these hard vocabulary words and reading passages about boring grown-up topics. No thanks! The GUAT has four sections - listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Meimei said the writing section was the hardest part. She had to write two essays in English, one summarizing an academic article and another giving her opinion on some issue. The article was about the history of global trade between Asia and Europe and had a lot of dates, facts, and difficult words. No games, toys, or fun stuff at all!For the opinion essay, Meimei had to take a position on whether elementary schools should have more after-school activities or focus just on academics during regular school hours. She argued that a good balance is needed - some fun activities but still lots of time for the important stuff like math, Chinese, and English. I agree with her!In the weeks before the GUAT, our whole family tried to help Meimei get ready. My mom would quiz her on vocabulary words over breakfast. My dad would do practice speaking questions with her in English during car rides. And I would draw her pictures to cheer her up when she was stressed! My favorite was the one of a big scary GUAT monster that Meimei had to fight and beat up. Go Meimei! Finally the day of the big test came. Meimei got up very very early before the sun was even out. She triple checked that she had everything - her admission ticket, pencils, ID card, and a small snack. Then my parents drove her to the test center. I gave her a big hug and wished her good luck before she went in.It took Meimei over 3 hours to finish the whole GUAT test! When she came out, she looked exhausted but also relieved that it was finally over. We all went out for dumplings at her favorite restaurant to celebrate. Meimei said the writing tasks were just as difficult as she expected, especially summarizing that dense article. But she felt okay about how she did overall.A few weeks later, Meimei's GUAT score report came in the mail. She got a 7 out of 9 on the writing section, which is pretty good! Her essay scores were in the 75th percentile compared to other test takers. That means she was better at English writing than 3/4 of the students who took the test. Not bad at all! With her solid GUAT score, Meimei can now apply for jobs or graduate programs that need proof of advanced English ability. She worked so unbelievably hard getting ready for this test, I'm just super proud of her. My big sister is amazing! That's the whole story about Meimei's big important GUAT test. I had no idea taking a writing test could be so stressful and difficult. I'm just a little kid but I could see how much time and effort my sister put into preparing. It makes me appreciate how lucky I am that my biggest challenges right now are basic addition and cleaning my room. One day I'll be a student again too though. And who knows, maybe I'll even have to take a bigscary test like the GUAT when I'm older! For now, I'll just keep working on my handwriting and storytelling skills. Wish me luck!。

This year, the topic was about the importance of protecting our environment. I think it's a super important topic, so I want to share my thoughts here.First of all, I believe that we all need to do our part to protect the environment. That means not littering, recycling our trash, and using less plastic. I know it can be hard sometimes, but if we all work together, we can make a big difference.Next, we should also try to use more clean energy sources, like solar power and wind power. This will help reduce pollution and slow down global warming. It's important to think about the future and how our actions today can affect the world for generations to come.Another important way to protect the environment is to plant more trees. Trees help clean the air, provide habitats for animals, and prevent soil erosion. We should all do our part toplant trees and take care of them so they can grow big and strong.Overall, I think it's really important for everyone to take care of our environment. We only have one planet, so we need to do everything we can to protect it. If we all work together and make small changes in our lives, we can make a big difference. I mean, we only have one planet, right? We gotta take care of it. I also mentioned how we can all use less energy and water to help the environment. It's really not that hard to make a difference if we all just do our part.In the end, I wrote about how we can all work together to make our world a better place. We can all do something, no matter how small, to protect the environment and make sure it's still awesome for future generations.Anyway, the exam was pretty tough, but I think I did okay. They eat bamboo all day long and roll around in the grass. I think they're super cool. One day, I went to the zoo with my family. I saw a real-life panda for the first time. It was sitting there, munching on some bamboo leaves. I couldn't believe how fuzzy it was! I wanted to reach out and touch it, but I knew I wasn't allowed. I took a picture instead to remember the moment forever.Pandas are also endangered animals, which is really sad. There are not many left in the world. We need to protect them and their habitat so they can keep living and playing in the wild. I hope that one day, I can visit China and see a panda in its natural environment. In conclusion, pandas are my favorite animal because they're adorable, fluffy, and in need of our help.
