E.g：I don't know how to swim./ She forgot what to buy. *感叹句：用以表示喜、怒、哀、乐等强烈感情的句子叫做感叹句。

感叹句句末常用感叹号，亦可用句号，一般读降调。

常用的感叹句的构成方法有三种：1.陈述句、疑问句可构成感叹句。

如：It sounds great! 听起来真棒!2.单词或短语均可构成感叹句（省去其他句子成分）。

如：Look out！小心！Wonderful! 太精彩了！3.将感叹词how 或what 置于它所修饰的词前面，即可构成感叹句。

how修饰形容词或副词, what 修饰名词短语。

现代英语中感叹句往往不加主谓成分。

如：How clever (it is)! 他多聪明啊!What a clever boy (he is)! 他是一个多么聪明的男孩啊！(1)how 型感叹句结构：How + adj / adv + （主语+ 谓语）+ ！e.g. How interesting (the story is)!How interesting!(2) what 型感叹句结构：What + a / an + adj + 可数名词单数+ （主语+ 谓语）+ ！E.g：What an interesting story (it is)!What + adj + 可数名词复数/ 不可数名词+ （主语+ 谓语）+ ！E.g：What interesting stories (they are)!What bad news (it is)!*The Past Continue Tense过去进行时：表示过去某一具体时刻或某一段时间正在发生或进行的动作, 时间状语往往是表示过去某一时间点。

常与之连用的时间状语有：at this time yesterday, at nine yesterday (last night/Sunday/week…), from…to.. yesterday, at+点钟+yesterday (last night / Sunday…)，when sb. did sth等时间状语从句连用。

过去进行时的谓语结构为：was /were + doing，当主语是第一人称单数和第三人称单数时，用was，当主语是其他人称时，都用were 。

1.否定句，只须在was/were后加not。

缩略形式：was not= wasn’t, were not= weren’t。

3.疑问句，把was/were提到主语前面即可。
