Today I will talk about my hometown --Weifang.
What we are looking at is Wei fang’s landmark. This is a square named kite square. Many middle age and elderly people dance in there at night. There also have many circles of fountain sprayed with music beat around the landmark. It’s very beautiful. And look at this building; it is Wei fang Municipal Bureau of Radio and television. This is center part of Weifang. There is a river across the city named Bailang River. Every crossing has a bridge. The bridge is more famous named Yaxing Bridge.
Do you know Weifang is the hometown of kites? We have a festival of kites on April 20s every year. It will continue a week at least. The opening ceremony happens on a hill which name is Fuyan hill. On the foot of hill there is a vast flat ground. Many people fly kites in there. And there also have many people from all over the word. And then I want to show you some pictures about peculiar kites. Ok next I will talk about the vegetable science and technology. It holds in Weifang Shouguang. There are 8 exhibition rooms, and every room has its own style. This is first exhibition room, it main sell fertilizer and vegetables. This picture was taken in 5th room. It’s a technology room. The garden is named tomatoes garden. The red pearl is
made by tomatoes, and the hands are made by peanuts. All of these are stuck on a model.
Now what you are looking at is sweet potatoes. They are growing in sky. Look, do you know what is it? It’s tower gourd which length is about 3 meters. Ok look at this, it is pumpkin which weight is about 200 kilogram. One of them is sold about 10 000 Yuan. However no one buy it.
These vegetables are grown in 7th room. The room main introduce new variety. These are little cucumbers. Its names are gold boy and jade girl, I thought the name is very interesting, so I taken the photo. This is eggplant tree. Tree means only one plant can produce so many fruits. The colors of them are different. And this is five fingers eggplant. Actually one eggplant has four short fingers and one big and thick finger, it’s very cute. Look at this one, it is wax gourd, but it looks like a baby, because it started to grow with mold. Ok this is grapes. Do you ever see this kind of big grape? It really is very big, but it is not real grapes rather than tomatoes. However I would rather believe those are grapes than tomatoes, because I want to eat so big grapes. This is tomato tree as sweet potato tree. One tree can produce so many fruits. I like it.
Let’s go to 8th room. In there we can see many famous people and view. Look at this phoenix, which is made with
chilies and sweet chilies. It’s very beautiful. The 8 supernatural beings are from a story which name is 8 immortals across sea. These people are made of verities of beans and peanuts. On their back, the hill is made of gingers, it’s very real. And this is Confucius; he is also made of beans and peanuts. This hill copied with mountain Tai, and it is also made of gingers. Everywhere is made in details.
