Module 3My First Ride on a Train学案1
[课文原句]I live in Shi jiazhuang, a city not far from Beijing.
[点拨]在本句中,a city not far from Bei jing 是Shi jiazhuang的同位语。
We students should love our country.
They were all surprised at the news that the president was shot dead.
[点击名题]Information has been put for-ward ______ more middle school graduates will be admitted into universities.A. whileB. thatC. whenD. as[解析]答案B。
”2. [课文原句]①There are a few students in our class who keep coming to class late ... (Page 12)②This is true of France, Germany, and Spain, where discipline and respect for the teacher is considered very important. (Page 19)③We saw abandoned farms, which were built more than a hundred years ago.
关系代词有:who, whom, whose, that, which等;关系副词有:when, where, why等。
观察下面两个句子:①The man who sat in the first row was our English teacher. Zhang, who sat in the first row, was our English teacher.
如:①The man who won the match was awarded 1,000 Yuan. (who 在从句中做主语,不能省略)②The man ( who / whom / that) I talked with is a famous artist.
This is the house where I lived three years ago. →This is the house in which I lived three years ago.[点击名题]Is this the reason _____ at the meeting for his carelessness in his work ?A. he explainedB. what he explainedC. how he explainedD. why he explained[解析]答案A。
3. [课文原句]She’s very strict —we don’t dare to say a word unless she asksus to.
unless相当于if ... not,如:We will go to picnic tomorrow unless it rains (= if it doesn’t rain).
[点击名题]______ something unexpected happens, I will go shopping with you tomorrow.A. UnlessB. IfC. WithD. As long as[解析]答案A。
4. [课文原句]It is interesting to look at differences between schools in different countries.(Page 12)看不同国家学校之间的区别是很有趣的事情。
[点拨]这是含有it 形式主语的句子,真正的主语是to look at differences between schools in different countries。
It is no good sleeping too much.It+is/was+形容词/名词+that从句如:It is unbelievable that he didn’t pass the exam.[点击名题]_____ is a fact that English is being accepted as an international language. A. There B. This C. That D. It[解析]答案D。
5. [课文原句]What do you think the central part of the country is like?
其结构是:特殊疑问词+ do you think + 陈述句,从语法角度讲,do you think 是插入语。
Where do most of the people live, in the central part of the country or on the coast? Do you think? →Where do you think most of the people live, in the central part of the country or on the coast?where在句子中做状语,“do most of the people live“要改为陈述语序。
但是:Who is the best student in your class? Do you think? →Who do you think is the best student in your class?
What do you suppose has happened there? When do you guess I get up every morning?
如:however, luckily /happily(for sb.), personally, though 等。
如:Personally, I prefer to the red one.(2)短语型插入语。
如:Strange to say, worse still, in other words, in one’s opinion, in fact, of course, generally speaking, judging from...to make things worse等。
如:Generally speaking, girls study harder than boys.(3)插入句。
如:I think, do you consider, that is to say, what’s more等。
如:You are wrong, and what’s more, you are on purpose.(4)省略型插入语。
如:if not better than[点击名题](1) John plays football ______, if not better than, David.A. as wellB. as well asC. so wellD. so well as(2) ______ you have seen both fighters, ______ will win?A. Since; do you think whoB. As; who you thinkC. When; whoeverD. Since; who do you think[答案]B。

外研版高一英语课文翻译Module3,book1,MyFirstRideonaTrain(带要点)
Module 3 My First Ride on a TrainMy name is Alice Thompson. I come from Sydney Australia and I'm 18 years old.Recently I had my first ride on a long-distance train. And what a ride. The train was wonderful and the food was great. We ate great meals c ooked by experts. For the first few hundred kilometers of the journey, the scenery was very colourful. There were fields and the soil was dark red. After that, it was desert. The sun shone, there was no wind and there were no clouds in the sky.Suddenly, it looked like a place from another time.We saw abandoned farms which were built more than a hundred years ago.The train was comfortable and the people were nice.During the day, I sat and looked out of the window, and sometimes talked to other passengers.I read books and listened to my Chinese cassettes. One night, at about midnight, I watched the night sky for about an hour. The stars shone like diamonds. Why is the train called the Ghan?A long time ago, Australians needed a way to travel to the middle of the country. They tried riding horses, but the horses didn't like the hot weather and sand.A hundred and fifty years ago, they brought some camels from Afghanistan.Ghan is short for Afghanistan.Camels were much better than horses for travelling a long distance. For many years, trained camels carried food and other supplies, and returned with wool and other products. The Afghans and their camels did this until the 1920s.Then the government built a new railway line, so they didn't need the camels any more.In 1925, they passed a law which allowed people to shoot the animals if they were a problem. In 1935, the police in a town shot 153 camels in one day.

She decided her teeth needed to be whiter. “They weren‟t that bad, but 1 wanted to make them all the same colour.” she said.In the last five years, teeth whitening has become very popular among young Americans. Now the trend(潮流)has come to China. If you turn on the TV you can see the Hong Kong pop star Karen Mok showing her bright whiteteeth, saying. “Want to be like me? Use white teeth strips(牙贴)!” Y ou m ay even have decided to buy one.But wait a minute. Dentists have something to say. They think that kids should not use whitening products until they are 1 6 or even older.“We don‟t know what will happen yet," says Dr. Nasrin Azim, a dentist in Chicago. “Studies have not been done on young people. I wouldn‟t do teeth whitening on anyone under 18.”The problem with whitening lies in the pulp(牙髓), the innermost(最深处的) part of the tooth. It has the tooth‟s nerve ending. When we eat very hot or cold things, it‟s the pulp that hurts. Kids have larger pulps. The larger pulp might make teeth more sensitive(敏感的) to whitening and get hurt.Another problem is that the gums(牙床) around the teeth usually change shape with age. So if someone whitens his or her teeth during childhood, the darker, natural colour might show later around the gum line. At that time, your teeth will show two colours. And the darker colour is difficult to whiten. So, wait another few years before you make your teeth whiter. Or if you really want to do it, ask your dentist. They‟ll give you useful advice.66. What may happen if children do teeth whitening according to dentists?A. Their teeth may show two colours later.B. Their gums may change shape with age.C. Their teeth may get darker.D. They may lose their teeth.70. We can infer from the passage that _______.A. dentists 1ike very much the idea of teeth whiteningB. more and more people in China will get their teeth whitenedC. it‟s necessary for children to whiten their teeth -D. teeth whitening will certainly bring good results to peopleIV.写作(共两部分,满分45分)第一部分阅读表达(共5小题;每小题3分,满分15分)阅读下面的文章,根据短文后的要求答题(请注意问题后的词数要求)When someone has deeply hurt you, it can be extremely difficult to let go of your anger. But forgiveness(宽恕)is possible—and it can be surprisingly helpful to your physical and mental health. Indeed, research has shown that people who forgive more energy, better appetite(胃口)and better sleep patterns. “People who forgive show less anger and more hopefulness,” says Dr. Fred eric Luskin, who wrote the book Forgive for Good. “So it can help save on the wear and tear on our system and allow people to feel more energetic.”___________, calm yourself first. Don't wait for an apology. “Many times the person who hurt you may never think of apologizing.” says Dr. Luskin. “They may have wanted to hurt you or they just don‟t see things the same way. So if you wait for people to apologize, you could be waiting a very long time.‟‟ Keep in mindthat forgiveness does not necessarily mean accepting the action of the person who upset you. Mentally going over your hurt gives power to the person who brought you pain. Instead, learn to look for the love, beauty and kindness around you. F inally, try to see things from the other person‟s perspective(视角). Y ou may realize that he or she was acting out of ignorance(无知), fear—even love. To gain perspective, you may want to write a letter to yourself from that person‟s point of view.71. What‟s the best title of the passage?
