直接引语和间接引语在JEFC教材中初中阶段并没有单独作为一个独立的语法体系加以呈现，是高中要求掌握的一个重点，现在初二阶段就提出来，不管是老师还是学生都感觉到难度较大。
这需要老师很好地设计课堂教学活动。
本模块以娱乐为话题，从学生兴趣的话题切入，语言材料包括谈论访问演出、影片介绍等。
课文各侧重娱乐的不同方面，材料真实、趣味性强，能引起学生浓厚的兴趣。
通过谈论自己所喜爱的电影、音乐、电视节目等以及名星，在与他人分享的过程中转述他人的话，从而掌握从直接引语向间接引语转变的表达方法及注意点。
Unit 2标题是“He said it was on at the student cinema.”是阅读课型,课文介绍的是一部美国电影《加勒比海盗》。
本课在前一单元听说活动的基础上进行阅读活动,并为后一单元语言的综合运用打下了基础。
课文呈现有关这部影片介绍和评论的语言结构与词汇。

2. 思维能力：有较强的记忆力和模仿能力，有待培养知识的扩展运用能力。
3. 认知心理：有较强的求知欲和表现欲，部分学生存在不自信，羞于表现等思想顾虑。
