基于上述理论和英语课程标准对七年级学生的要求及学生的心理特点和认知发展规律，结合任务型语言教学模式，让学生为完成任务获得必需的知识、能力、信息和文化理解，与此同时，让学生了解美国的感恩节以及火鸡的制作过程和方法，阅读材料内容丰富，包含了历史文化，又拓展了食物的制作过程，2e有火鸡的制作延伸到中国的传统节日和食品制作，任务的设计贴近学生的生活，利于学生表达，学生实现了任务目标、感受到成功的快乐。
此外，我运用多媒体辅助教学，将本课所需要的图片、文字、制成课件，使抽象的语言变得直观，为学生运用英语进行交际创设情景，实现师生互动，生生互动的多向交流，取得相对良好的教学效果。
在课堂活动中，我把学生分成四人小组的学习小组，让他们围绕着课堂任务分工合作，在活动中相互探讨、相互交流、相互合作，从而获得知识、技能和情感体验，发展他们的能力。

通过前面两个课时的学习，学生对时间顺读法有了一定认识和理解，而本课时将学习更高层次的时间表达法，用past和to的逆读法，这对于初一的学生是比较困难的，同时会用到half和quarter这两个时间表达词汇，以及in the morning/afternoon/evening等的出现对初一的学生来说都是一个不小的挑战。
其二，要求熟练使用目标语言谈论自己和询问他人的日常作息习惯，掌握句型“—When do they usually eat breakfast?—They usually eat breakfast at a quarter to seven.”以及第三人称单数的句型“—When does Tom usually get up?—He usually gets up at half past five in the morning.”本课时要注重听说的训练。
三、教学安排本课用1 课时完成，45分钟。
