英语作为一门世界通用的语言，其沟通的功能才是其本质功能。
在《英语课程标准》中是这样定义英语的课程性质的：语言是人类最重要的思维和交流工具，也是人们参与社会活动的重要条件。
高中学生学习外语，一方面可以促进心智、情感、态度与价值观的发展和综合人文素养的提高；另一反面，掌握一门国际通用语种可以为学习国外先进文化、科学、技术和进行国际交往创造条件。
2由此可见，教会学生学会将这门语言作为有力的交际工具，才是我们外语教学的根本目的。
然而我们现在的英语教学却走入了一个误区：那就是过于注重去研究其词法、句法和语法功能，忽略了语言的基本交际功能。
我记得上大学时候，我们的外籍口语教师Jak说过一句令我记忆深刻的话：“I’m ondering h ou Chinese stud our language so further.”（我很纳闷为什么中国人把我们的语言研究得如此透彻。
）实际上，就我们中学英语所学到的所有单词与短语，已足以自由地与外国人进行最基本的沟通了，但是何以我们的学生却不敢开口说呢？那是因为他们害怕犯错误，因为我们把一门语言当做一门研究型学科去教学了。
他们错误地以为说每一句话要考虑单复数、时态、语态等，但这是个极为可笑的错误。
运用英语交际的目的无非是你能说，别人听得懂罢了。
所以，反思现在我们一味地追求知识点的传授，只关注学生的考试成绩，却忽略了其交际能力的培养，那我们怎么可能教出来的不是“聋哑英语”呢?三、改变“哑巴英语”教学现状的策略所以，作为教师，我们首先应该走出为应试而教学英语的误区，让学生真正学会使用英语这一语言工具来表达自己的思想，获取外界信息，从而真正达到英语的根本教学目标。
那么，21.《英语新课程标准》（201X版）如何做到这一点呢？其实很简单，那就是一次机会，一次让学生开口说英语的机会，一次让学生体会说英语的乐趣的机会，一次让他们欣赏到英语作为语言的魅力的机会。
基于这一点，在本学期，我和两个年轻教师开设了一个有关利用“课前三分钟演讲”创设有效引入，提高学生学习英语的兴趣的课题。
在整个实施过程中，我更加肯定了“课前三分钟演讲活动”在口语教学中的有效性：首先，这一活动的开设给了学生一个开口的机会，活跃了课堂。
其次，活动的开设激发了学生的创造性思维，激发了学生的英语学习兴趣。
四、“课前三分钟演讲活动”的实施策略首先，让学生自主选择演讲话题，令学生的创造性思维得以发散。
在活动的实施中，切忌由教师限定演讲的话题。
相信学生，将话题的选择权交给他们，可以减少他们被动接受的反抗心理。
同时，还能促成他们的主动创造，从而令他们的创造性思维得以发挥。
而在收集他们的演讲话题时，他们在其中体现出的宽度、广度和深度令我们感叹。
比如说：杨绍禹同学的Friendship in m mind 谈到了他对友谊的理解；徐胜同学的Our shool life 向我们展示了孩子们心目中的校园生活；李奎同学的dream令我们认识到每一个同学心目中心怀梦想的美好情怀以及他们为追梦甘愿付出的决心；邓磊同学的Ho thanksgiving 令我欣喜于孩子们怀有的感恩之心；田静同学的The real seret of getting hat ou ant in our life告诉我们他们会思考在人生旅途中“得你想得”的秘诀及正确途径，这次演讲令我惊异于孩子们对如此有深度的问题的思考；刘子瑞同学的Can mone bu everthing? 告诉我们生活中金钱并非万能的，我们应该有更高层面的追求；程威纳同学的 A Touhing stor 让我们理解爱的伟大；王雪同学的What do ou miss in life? 利用一个生动的故事来教育我们去珍惜来自家人、朋友和爱人的那份爱.等等。
相信无论是学生还是我，在这一次次演讲中，我们都从中受到了启发和教育。
学生在演讲中训练了自我的口语能力，听力能力。
此外，他们还学会如何将自己所学的英语运用到实践中。
更重要的是，在整个过程中，他们自我思考、自我创造的能力得以训练。
其次，活动务必体现学生在评价中的主体地位在每次演讲过后，要求学生进行自评和互评，体现学生在评价中的主体地位。
自评有益于学生认识自我，树立自信；有助于学生反思自我的学习，从而在培养学生口语能力的同时促进学生运用语言的综合能力。
而互评可以促进学生互相学习，共同进步的竞争意识，让学生成为活动积极的参与者和合作者。
虽说有时候学生不能做到科学全面地评价，但学生在活动展开的过程中逐渐敢于开口，脱离了“哑巴英语”的学习状态，也让他们自我表达与沟通的能力得以锻炼，从而实现了英语交际功能的教学目的。
当然，教师在最后的总结中除了做出有效的建议外，更应注意使用正面评价，从而发挥评价的激励作用。
比如说，在对康美娟同学的演讲进行评论时，有学生评价说：“Her speeh is a little fast, I think she is onderful. I give her 92 sore. All of advise is onderful, but next time, please sloer, I an’t get it.”虽然，这里他把动词名词混淆了，单复数用错。
但至少，我们大家都能听懂他想表达什么，这样不就体现了英语的交流功能吗？所以，在最后的总结中，我不会刻意去指正并强调这些知识点的错误，因为只有这样，他们才不会产生挫败感，反而从中体会到语言交流的魅力。
他们才会发现原来英语并不仅仅是为“为学而学”而是可以在生活中运用出来，可以“学以致用”的！这样，他们学习英语的兴趣才会越来越浓厚！随着整个活动的推进，令我欣喜的是，孩子们不仅敢于开口“说英语”了，而且还越来越流畅。
此外，孩子们还会为了每一次的演讲进行认真的创作，随着一篇篇原创作品的出现，同学们其后的互评也逐渐学会从选题、作品的深度和广度几个范畴去展开，而不再局限于单纯的好与不好的界定。
所以，将活动评价的主体地位教给学生，不但令他们进行了思维能力的拓展，而且也逐渐提升了学生的口语水平。

四、注重说课信息和反馈与总结说课的对象可以是专家、同行甚至是学生。
向说课对象征询意见、获取信息，力求不断改进和提高。
