学情分析现代的教学设计应是为“学习而设计”，同样的课，不同的班级、不同的学生讲课方式必须不同，所以我们的教师在进行学情分析时必须充分的考虑到这一点，才能把握好教学尺度，才能使学生学有所得。
1、本届八年级学生的英语基础方面还很薄弱，经过上学期的不懈努力，学生的基础知识得到了加强，学习态度也有所好转。
2、通过学习证明，一部分学习优异的学生已步入英语学习的殿堂，他们掌握了灵活的方法，对老师所讲的每一知识点都能心领神会，成绩颇为理想。
还有一部分学生由于英语底子差，基础薄，学习态度还存在某些偏差，固而导致英语成绩不理想，针对这一状况，本学期坚持“夯实基础，狠抓双基，改进学法，激发兴趣，提高能力”的指导思想，力争缩小两极差距，做好全面教学工作。
3. 学生的思想状况分析：从整体看，大部分同学要求上进，能在课堂上认真听讲。
有少数同学学习基础较差，接受能力较慢。
另外，本班学生中游成绩男生比例较大，比较好动，静不下心，严谨、上进的学风比较缺乏，学习任务不明确，学习方法不得要领，这就要求在本学期教学中做好转后递进工作，缩小两头差距，充实中间力量，在学习习惯的养成方面多花力气，力求改善。
