First, let me talk about the teaching material.Part 1 The Analysis of the teaching material:This lesson is taken from Yilin edition primary school English, the fifth grade Unit8, with the topic of Christmas. As we know, Christmas is a very important holiday in western countries, it just likes our Spring Festival.In this part, it shows students how Mike’s families celebrate their Christmas. From the order of time, the text tells us the date, the symbols, the traditional food and the activities to let students know more about Christmas.Part 2 The Analysis of the studentsAlthough Christmas is a western holiday, most students have known it a lot and many of them are interested in. So this topic can greatly attract their interests. It can accelerate them to involved in this lesson.But some of these Ss have poor foundation in English. They can not express their ideas if the teacher does n’t give them some words and sentences patterns. And some of the students have little knowledge in Christmas.Part3 Teaching aims and learning objectivesI will talk about it from knowledge aims, ability aims and emotion aims:For the knowledge aims:1. Each person has a piece of the story,they should first read the sentences in the note and then do the match in groups.Each group has some papers, they need to stick it in the right places like this.4.Listen to the tape and finish the contents according to the time. Here they’ll alsolearn the order adverbs.5.Then we come to the careful reading. It contains three steps. Ss are required toanswer the question: What do they do before Christmas? With different ways. The first paragraph Ss need to read with their eyes. Use the verbs buy, go and put. The second one is Listen and fill, Ss are required to read with their ears. The last one is read, underline and act. Ss are required to read with their mouths. After these three steps Ss will get a better understanding of the text.6.Then they will read the text after the tape. Pay attention to the pronunciation andintonation. This story is to be continued. If they do well in the following part, they will continue reading.Step4 Extension1.Ss will retell the text with the help of the pictures and the blackboard design. 我说课的内容是译林新版英语五年级上册Unit 8 At Christmas的Story time部分。

这个部分主要描述了在圣诞节来临之际,Mike和家人一起准备和庆祝圣诞节的一系列活动。

按时间先后顺序,课文分别展示了购买圣诞树和圣诞礼物、装扮圣诞树、在平安夜将长筒袜放置在床头以及在圣诞日吃大餐等多个场景。

本课时的教学重点是:
1、学习一些与圣诞节有关的单词和短语,如Christmas, present, Christmas tree, Father Christmas, Christmas Eve, stocking, Christmas Day, tu rkey, pudding;
2、学习First/Next/Then/Finally, …一系列表示先后顺序的副词结构;
3、学习用buy, put等动词及短语来描述圣诞节的有关活动与习俗。

本课时的教学难点是:
1、理解和运用First/Next/Then/Finally, …一系列表示先后顺序的副词结构;
2、能灵活运用buy, put等动词及短语描述圣诞节的有关活动与习俗。

二、说教法
基于本课的特点,我在教学设想和学法指导上,坚持以圣诞节这一话题为核心,以理解文本信息为主线,以任务型活动安排本课教学,通过听录音、看图、看动画、联系上下文等形式来完成这些任务,帮助学生在完成任务的过程中提升其听、说、读、写的能力。

三、说流程
Step 1 Greeting and Warming-up
这个部分我准备播放Song time的歌曲We wish you a Merry
Christmas,一来为课堂预热,营造圣诞节的节日氛围;二来提出问题What can you see in the cartoon?来培养学生仔细观察的能力,同时引出Christmas tree, Christmas和课题At Christmas。

Step 2 Presentation and Practice
1、以“Chri stmas is a western holiday. Do you know more about it ?”引出一些西方国家欢度圣诞节的图片,同时学习turkey, pudding, present, Father Christmas。

2、以“Do you love Father Christmas?”引出圣诞礼物的获得方式,可以是圣诞老人送的,也可以是买礼物互相赠送,由此引出buy这一动词的学习,并请学生用“I want to buy ( ) for ( ) .”来表达内心的想法,然后我说“I bo ught a present for you. Do you want it?”引出多个task。

3、Task 1:Mike’s family是如何欢度圣诞节的,看动画,给四幅图排序。

排序结束后,引出表示顺序的单词“first, next, then, finally”的学习。

4、Task 2:Listen and complete
首先师说:“Let’s look at the four pictures. First,let’s look at the first one. Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.”要求填空的内容:First, we buy _____ for _____ . We also buy a _____ We sometimes go to see _____ . 学生一边回答,教师一边板书。

然后学生跟录音读Paragraph 1,教师相机纠正一些错误发音。
