英语教师要不断革新自己的教学思路，创新教学方法，采用灵活多样的教学策略，提高小学英语故事阅读教学的有效性。
本节课我从听读说写四个方面进行设计，指导学生在读前读中读后运用不同的阅读策略进行学习，比如我让学生通过寻读、略读、猜测词义、设疑引导下文等阅读策略,培养学生的阅读意识,促进学生理解故事能力的发展,提高阅读能力。
本节课目标基本达成。
本节课亮点有：1.在阅读的准备环节，我向学生简单地介绍故事发生的背景，从而引导学生进入到相应的故事情境当中，另外通过阅读准备工作能够让学生为阅读当中的词汇和重点句型语法的学习做好知识准备，从而提高阅读效率。
2.我设计了较为科学合理的阅读问题。
在提出的阅读问题尽量是需要学生通过观察思考才能解决的，并且要从整体上保证难易适当和层次清楚让学生理解文字的实际含义，让学生通过想象和深入挖掘理解来获得答案，拓展思维。

冀教版五年级下册Lesson 18 Little Zeke Sends an Email一、教材分析:单元及课文分析:本课选自冀教版五年级下册的第18课，在新课标理念的指导下，依据课标，依托教材，借鉴教材参考资源的合理成分，又根据学生的认知特点，大胆合理地对教材内容进行了选择，着重讲述故事“ Little Zeke Sends an Email ”。
二、学情分析:本节课的授课对象是小学五年级的学生，他们已具备一定的英语听、说、读、写能力。
学生们对英语比较感兴趣，能够积极主动地参与课堂，教师应该在精神上加以鼓励和关心。
三、教学目标:（1）知识与技能目标：1、通过对故事的学习，学生能理解故事内容。
2、培养学生的阅读能力，能利用上下文、借助课件及肢体语言推测文本的意思。
3、在教师引导下讲述故事、表演故事。
（2）情感目标：培养学生的阅读兴趣，通过多样性的教学活动和教学评价，激发学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性，鼓励学生主动参与、积极合作、敢于开口，乐于进行语言的学习和交流。

这节课我坚持以学生为主、老师引导的理念，把课堂完全还给学生，给学生充分的时间来发挥自己的潜能。
感知故事、理解故事、设置问题、表演故事，由浅入深，层层递进，符合学生的思维。
在表演部分，课堂气氛达到高潮，学生积极性高，头饰图片的应用和贯穿全课的评价也大大的调动了学生的积极性，激发了学生的表演欲望。
一些不足之处：1、利用北京时间和渥太华时间的不同，让学生理解Different counties has different time ,但是最后总结时我忘记说这一句总结的话了，通过后面的做题，说明孩子们也理解了。
