大学英文诗歌朗诵精选适合朗诵的英文诗歌The Ruined Maidby Thomas Hardy"O 'Melia, my dear, this does everything crown!Who could have supposed I should meet you in Town? And whence such fair garments, such prosperi-ty?""O didn't you know I'd been ruined?" said she."You left us in tatters, without shoes or socks,Tired of digging potatoes, and spudding up docks; And now you've gay bracelets and bright feathers three!""Yes: that's how we dress when we're ruined," said she."At home in the barton you said 'thee' and 'thou,'And 'thik oon,' and 'the?s oon,' and 't'other'; but nowYour talking quite fits 'ee for high compa-ny!""Some polish is gained with one's ruin," said she."Your hands were like paws then, your face blue and bleakBut now I'm bewitched by your delicate cheek,And your little gloves fit as on any la-dy!""We never do work when we're ruined," said she."You used to call home-life a hag-ridden dream,And you'd sigh, and you'd sock; but at present you seemTo know not of megrims or melancho-ly!""True. One's pretty lively when ruined," said she."I wish I had feathers, a fine sweeping gown,And a delicate face, and could strut about Town!""My dear——a raw country girl, such as you be,Cannot quite expect that. You ain't ruined," said she. The Seekers of Liceby Arthur Rimbaud (Translated by Jeremy Harding)When the boy's head, full of raw torment,Longs for hazy dreams to swarm in white,Two charming older sisters come to his bedWith slender fingers and silvery nails. They sit him at a casement window, thrownOpen on a mass of flowers basking in blue air,And run the fine, intimidating witchcraftOf their fingers through his dew-dank hair.He listens to their diffident, sing-song breath,Smelling of elongated honey off the rose,Broken now and then by a hiss: saliva suckedBack from the lip, or a longing to be kissed. He hears their dark eyelashes start in the sweet-Smelling silence and, through his grey listlessness, The crackle of small lice dying, beneathThe imperious nails of their soft, electric fingers. The wine of Torpor wells up in him thenNear on trance, a harmonica-sighAnd in their slow caress he feelsThe endless ebb and flow of a desire to cry.The Scriptby Mónica de la TorreI.You thought this would be a dance lesson, things were easier then.No marimbas, no clarinets;only a longing for the fun to begin.Rain came down.Nothing seems as remote as the days you didn't have to think about it: always already there, gushing out.Control was required to stop ideas from overflowing. You did your job well, you killed them as one kills Easter baby chickens.II.Rasputin was on the lookout.Magdalene had multipurpose hair:Kumernis had it in stocks where and when she needed it,on her beard especially.Anything to keep the Barbarians away will do.Chopped noses, rotten chicken stuffed in corsets. We were told that the demons would come out in Maine. They hate recollections and certainty.Their favorite verb is sabotage.III.Rasputin helps one to recognize inspiration;but, oh,what could imagination be?To retrieve, to plunder, to forge. To be bored. To rip kites so they may stay on the ground. To forget jokes and misunderstand common sense. To sit for four hours without getting up.To count words and people and only remember their numbers. To listen closely to what loons could be trying to say.To permutate dots so that lines are never identical to each other. To return to known places and act always the same, thus the slightest change might become apparent. To force things to happen. To pretend there's meaning when all that comes out is a"My dog loves me and he's no showboat."To think there's nothing to say.To leap from canopy to can openers to can open her. You've begun, now use your props. The Separate Rose: Iby Pablo Neruda (Translated by William O'Daly)Today is that day, the day that carrieda desperate light that since has died.Don't let the squatters know:let's keep it all between us,day, between your belland my secret.Today is dead winter in the forgotten landthat comes to visit me, with a cross on the map and a volcano in the snow, to return to me,to return again the waterfallen on the roof of my childhood.Today when the sun began with its shaftsto tell the story, so clear, so old,the slanting rain fell like a sword, the rain my hard heart welcomes. You, my love, still asleep in August,my queen, my woman, my vastness, my geography kiss of mud, the carbon-coated zither, you, vestment of my persistent song, today you are reborn again and with the sky'sblack water confuse me and compel me:I must renew my bones in your kingdom,I must still uncloud my earthly duties.

May be guilty in his seems to passing a lot of different life became the appearance of the same day; May be back in the past, to oneself the paranoid weird belief disillusionment, these days, my mind has been very messy, in my mind constantly. Always feel oneself should go to do something, or write something. Twenty years of life trajectory deeply shallow, suddenly feel something, do it.The end of our life, and can meet many things really do?During my childhood, think lucky money and new clothes are necessary for New Year, but as the advance of the age, will be more and more found that those things are optional; Junior high school, thought to have a crush on just means that the real growth, but over the past three years later, his writing of alumni in peace, suddenly found that isn't really grow up, it seems is not so important; Then in high school, think don't want to give vent to out your inner voice can be in the high school children of the feelings in a period, but was eventually infarction when graduation party in the throat, later again stood on the pitch he has sweat profusely, looked at his thrown a basketball hoops, suddenly found himself has already can't remember his appearance.Originally, this world, can produce a chemical reaction to an event, in addition to resolutely, have to do, and time.A person's time, your ideas are always special to clear. Dislike his cowardice, finally found that there are a lotof love, there are a lot of miss, like shadow really have been doomed. Those who do, just green years oneself give oneself an arm injection, or is a self-righteous spiritual. At the moment, the sky is dark, the air is fresh factor after just rained. Suddenly thought of blue plaid shirt; Those were broken into various shapes of stationery; From the corner at the beginning of deep friendship; Have declared the end of the encounter that haven't start planning... He could not read music, but if he heard a tune a few times, he could play it. When he was younger, he was a member of a small country music band. They would play at local dances and on a few occasions would play for the local radio station. He often told us how he had auditioned and earned a position in a band that featured Patsy Cline as their lead singer. He told the family that after he was hired he never went back. Dad was a very religious man. He stated that there was a lot of drinking and cursing the day of his audition and he did not want to be around that type of environment.Occasionally, Dad would get out his mandolin and play for the family. We three children: Trisha, Monte and I, George Jr., would often sing along. Songs such as the Tennessee Waltz, Harbor Lights and around Christmas time, the well-known rendition of Silver Bells. "Silver Bells, Silver Bells, its Christmas time in the city" would ring throughout the house. One of Dad's favorite hymns was "The Old Rugged Cross". We learned the words to the hymn when we were very young, and would sing itwith Dad when he would play and sing. Another song that was often shared in our house was a song that accompanied the Walt Disney series: Davey Crockett. Dad only had to hear the song twice before he learned it well enough to play it. "Davey, Davey Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier" was a favorite song for the family. He knew we enjoyed the song and the program and would often get out the mandolin after the program was over. I could never get over how he could play the songs so well after only hearing them a few times. I loved to sing, but I never learned how to play the mandolin. This is something I regret to this day.Dad loved to play the mandolin for his family he knew we enjoyed singing, and hearing him play. He was like that. If he could give pleasure to others, he would, especially his family. He was always there, sacrificing his time and efforts to see that his family had enough in their life. I had to mature into a man and have children of my own before I realized how much he had sacrificed.I joined the United States Air Force in January of 1962. Whenever I would come home on leave, I would ask Dad to play the mandolin. Nobody played the mandolin like my father. He could touch your soul with the tones that came out of that old mandolin. He seemed to shine when he was playing. You could see his pride in his ability to play so well for his family. When Dad was younger, he worked for his father on the farm. His father was a farmer and sharecropped a farm for the man who owned the property. In 1950, our family moved from the farm. Dad had gained employment at the local limestone quarry. When the quarry closed in August of 1957, he had to seek other employment. He worked for Owens Yacht Company in Dundalk, Maryland and for Todd Steel in Point of Rocks, Maryland. Whileworking at Todd Steel, he was involved in an accident. His job was to roll angle iron onto a conveyor so that the welders farther up the production line would have it to complete their job. On this particular day Dad got the third index finger of his left hand mashed between two pieces of steel. The doctor who operated on the finger could not save it, and Dad ended up having the tip of the finger amputated. He didn't lose enough of the finger where it would stop him picking up anything, but it did impact his ability to play the mandolin. After the accident, Dad was reluctant to play the mandolin. He felt that he could not play as well as he had before the accident. When I came home on leave and asked him to play he would make excuses for why he couldn't play. Eventually, we would wear him down and he would say "Okay, but remember, I can't hold down on the strings the way I used to" or "Since the accident to this finger I can't play as good". For the family it didn't make any difference that Dad couldn't play as well. We were just glad that he would play. When he played the old mandolin it would carry us back to a cheerful, happier time in our lives. "Davey, Davey Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier", would again be heard in the little town of Bakerton, West Virginia. In August of 1993 my father was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. He chose not to receive chemotherapy treatments so that he could live out the rest of his life in dignity. About a week before his death, we asked Dad if he would play the mandolin for us. He made excuses but said "okay". He knew it would probably be the last time he would play for us. He tuned up the old mandolin and played a few notes. When I looked around, there was not a dry eye in the family. We saw before us a quiet humble man with an inner strength that comes fromknowing God, and living with him in one's life. Dad would never play the mandolin for us again. We felt at the time that he wouldn't have enough strength to play, and that makes the memory of that day even stronger. Dad was doing something he had done all his life, giving. As sick as he was, he was still pleasing others. Dad sure could play that Mandolin!英文朗诵稿篇二:Remember me--- Christina RossettiRemember me when I am gone away,Gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand,Nor I half turn to go ,yet turning stay.Remember me when no more day by dayYou tell me of our future that planned:Only remember me ;you understandIt will be late to counsel then or pray.Yet if you should forget me for a whileAnd afterwards remember,do not grieve:For it darkness and corruption leaveA vestige of the thoughts that once I had,Better by far you should forget and smileThan that you should remember and be sad. She said with a tear in her eye."Well, I think it's very pretty, so tell me little one, why are you crying?"With a quiver in her voice the little girl answered." After Mommy made me this dress, she had to go away.""Well, now," said the lady, "with a little girl like you waiting for her, I'm sure she'll be right back.""No Ma'am, you don't understand," said the child through her tears, "my daddy said she's up in heaven now with Grandfather."Finally the woman realized what the child meant, and why she was crying. Kneeling down she gently cradled the child in her arms and together they cried for the mommy that was gone. Then suddenly the little girl did something that the woman thought was a bit strange. She stopped crying, stepped back from the woman and began to sing. She sang so softly that it was almost a whisper. It was the sweetest sound the woman had ever heard, almost like the song of a very small bird. After the child stopped singing she explained to the lady, "My mommy used to sing that song to me before she went away, and she made me promise to sing it whenever I started crying and it would make me stop.""See," she exclaimed, "it did, and now my eyes are dry!"As the woman turned to go, the little girl grabbed her sleeve, "Ma'am, can you stay just a minute? I want to show you something.""Of course," she answered, "what do you want me to see?"Pointing to a spot on her dress, she said, "Right here is where my mommy kissed my dress, and here," pointing to another spot, "and here is another kiss, and here, and here.Mommy said that she put all those kisses on my dress so that I would have her kisses for every booboo'that made me cry."Then the lady realized that she wasn't just looking at a dress, no, she was looking at a mother…who knew that she was going away and would not be there to kiss away the hurts that she knew her daughter would get.So she took all the love she had for her beautiful little girl and put them into this dress, that her child now so proudly wore. She no longer saw a little girl in a simple dress. She saw a child wrapped…in her mother's love.大学英语朗诵文章篇2:The key of a carA young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold.Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" He then stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and a wonderful family, but realizing his father was very old, he thought perhaps he should go to see him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make the arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he was reading, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words... "PAID IN FULL".How many times do we miss blessings because they are not packaged as we expected? Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.Sometimes we don't realize the good fortune we have or we could have because we expect "the packaging" to be different. What may appear as bad fortune may in fact be the door that is just waiting to be opened.大学英语朗诵文章篇3:0n Christmas EveA friend of mine named Paul received an automobile from his brother as Christmas present. On Christmas eve, when Paulcame out of his office, a street urchin was looking around the shining new car, admiring it."Is this your car, Mister?" he said.Paul nodded, "My brother gave it to me for Christmas."The boy was astounded, "You mean your brother gave it to you, and didn't cost you anything?""Boy, I wish..." he hesitated.Of course Paul knew what he was going to wish for. He was going to wish he has a brother like that. But what the lad said jarred Paull all the way down his heels."I wish," the boy went on, "that I could be a brother like that."Paul looked at the boy in astonishment, then inpulsivly he added, "Would you like to take a ride in my car?""Oh, yes. I'd love that."After a short ride, the boy turned his eyes aglow, said, "Mister, would you mind driving in front of my house?"Paul smiled a little. He thought he knew what the lad wanted. He wanted to show his neighbours that he could ride home in a big automobile. But Paul was wrong again."Would you stop at those with two steps?" the boy asked. He ran up stairs. Then in a little while, Paul heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled brother. He set him down on the bottom step. Then a sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car."There she is, buddy, just like I told you upstairs. His brother gave it to him for Christmas and didn't cost hime a cent. And some day, I'm gonna give you one just like it. Then you can see for yourself all the prettiest things in the windows that I was trying to tell you about."Paul got off and lifted the lad into the front of his car. Theshinning eyed old brother crimbed in beside him. And three of them began a memorable holiday ride. That Christmas eve, Paul learned what Jesus meant, when he said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive..."。

英文诗歌篇一When You Are OldWhen you are old and grey and full of sleep,And nodding by the fire, take down this book,And slowly read, and dream of the soft look,Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep; How many loved your moments of glad grace,And loved your beauty with love false or true,But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,And loved the sorrows of your changing face; And bending down beside the glowing bars,Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled,And paced upon the mountains overhead,And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.英文诗歌篇二:Remember me--- Christina RossettiRemember me when I am gone away,Gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand,Nor I half turn to go ,yet turning stay.Remember me when no more day by dayYou tell me of our future that planned:Only remember me ;you understandIt will be late to counsel then or pray.Yet if you should forget me for a whileAnd afterwards remember,do not grieve:For it darkness and corruption leaveA vestige of the thoughts that once I had,Better by far you should forget and smileThan that you should remember and be sad. "英文诗歌篇三The Goodness of LifeThough there is much to be concerned about, there is far, far more for which to be thankful. Though life’s goodness can at times be overshadowed, it is never outweighed. For every single act that is senselessly destructive, there are thousands more small, quiet acts of love, kindness and compassion. For every person who seeks to hurt, there are many, many more who devote their lives to helping and to healing. There is goodness to life that cannot be denied. In the most magnificent vistas and in the smallest details, look closely, for that goodness always comes shining through. There is no limit to the goodness of life. It grows more abundant with each new encounter. The more you experience and appreciate the goodness of life, the more there is to be lived.Even when the cold winds blow and the world seems to be covered in foggy shadows, the goodness of life lives on. Open your eyes, open your heart, and you will see that goodness is everywhere.Though the goodness of life seems at times to suffer setbacks, it always endures. For in the darkest moment it becomes vividly clear that life is a priceless treasure. And so the goodness of life is made even stronger by the very things that would oppose it.Time and time again when you feared it was gone forever you found that the goodness of life was really only a momentaway. Around the next corner, inside every moment, the goodness of life is there to surprise and delight you.Take a moment to let the goodness of life touch your spirit and calm your thoughts. Then, share your good fortune with another. For the goodness of life grows more and more magnificent each time it is given away.Though the problems constantly scream for attention and the conflicts appear to rage ever stronger, the goodness of life grows stronger still, quietly, peacefully, with more purpose and meaning than ever before.英文诗歌篇四Oh Captain! My Captain! Our fearful trip is done,The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won,The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring; But Oh heart! heart! heart!Oh the bleeding drops of red!Where on the deck my Captain lies,Fallen cold and dead.Oh Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;Rise up -for you the flag is flung -for you the bugle trills,For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths-for you the shores crowding,For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turing; Here, Captain! dear father! This arm beneath your head;It is some dream that on the deckYou've fallen cold and dead.My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,My father does not feel my arm , he has no pulse nor will; The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done; From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;Exult, Oh shores! and ring, Oh bells! But I,with mournful tread,Walk the deck my captain lies,Fallen cold and dead.。

But without sunlight and goodsoil, the tree soon died.Later the friend asked the farmer why he had planted the tree in such a poor place."What's thedifference?" the farmer said angrily. "If I had planted the tree near the road, strangers wouldhave stolen the fruit. If I had planted the tree in one of my field, my neighbors would have comeat night and stolen some of the apples. If I had planted it near my house, my own childrenwould have taken the fruit.""Yes," said the friend, "but at least someone could have enjoyed the fruit. Now you not onlyhave robbed everyone of the fruit, but also you have destroyed a good apple tree!"

SongHow sweet I roam’d from field to fieldAnd tasted all the summer’s pride,Till I the prince of love beheldWho in the sunny beams glide! He show’d me lilies for my hair,And blushing roses for my brow;He led me through his garden fairWhere all his golden pleasures grow. With sweet May dew my wings were wet,And Phoebus fired my vocal rage;He caught me in his silken net,And put me in his golden cage.He loves to sit and hear me sing,Then, laughing, sports and plays with me;Then stretches out my golden wing,And mocks my loss of liberty.

Look at us today! So many doors are open to us! I believe there have never been such abundant opportunities for self-development as we have today. The doors open to us also pose challenges. Each door is a test of our courage, ability and judgement, but with the support of my teachers, parents and friends, I believe I can meet the challenge head on.---Excerpt from Hong Ye‘s speech(全国英语演讲比赛第九届全军:洪晔,南京大学,2004年)The other night, as I saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs. I found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to something else, someplace else, a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seemed to have been except the deer. And all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it‘s time for us to do something, for our own and our coming generation.---Excerpt from Gu Qiubei‘s speech(全国英语演讲比赛第八届冠军:顾秋蓓,上海外国语大学,2003年) Like many young people of my age in China, I want to see my country get prosperous and enjoy respect in the international community. But it seems to me that mere patriotism is not just enough. It is vitally important that we young people do more serious thinking and broaden our minds to bigger issues.---Excerpt from Sun Ning‘s speech(全国英语演讲比赛第七届冠军:孙宁,北京外国语大学,2002年) To us young people, challenge often emerges in the form of competition. In the next century, competition will not only come from other college graduates, but also from people of all ages, of all origins. With increasing international exchanges, we have to face growing-competition from the whole outside world. This is calling for a higher level of our personal development.---Excerpt from Liu Xin‘s speech(全国英语演讲比赛第一届冠军:刘欣,南京大学,1996年)A Chinese philosopher, Feng Youlan, once said China is an old country with a new life. To us, that means this country with a long, long history is on its course of modernization. I am encouraged every time I think of it. I do believe China really has a bright future, if it seeks this opportunity to continue building a road to the world. I see the future as a huge project in which I can play an important role. China needs more and better roads to the rest of the world. I feel needed. I feel inspired. I‘m ready.---Excerpt from Li Shu‘s speech(全国英语演讲比赛第二届冠军:李舒,四川大学,1997年)We live at a critical juncture of our evolution because such problems as ethnic conflict and regional unrest are increasingly posing a threat to peace and happiness of the whole human race. To cope with such an era and to embrace an even brighter future, we need to learn to live more harmoniously in a world community which is becoming smaller and smaller.---Excerpt from Liang Limin‘s speech(全国英语演讲比赛第三届冠军:梁励敏,北京外国语大学,1998年)What happened to this beautiful valley in Australia should also happen to our Yellow River and, in fact, it is happening. I have seen farmers planting trees on mountains along the Yellow River. I have seen them climb the mountain tops with seeding on their shoulders because they had no machinery. I have seen them pour on trees the water they carried up in buckets from miles down the valley. These farmers are quietly nourishing our Yellow River, just as the river has nourished them.---Excerpt from Cai Li‘s speech(全国英语演讲比赛第四届冠军:蔡力,南京大学,1999年)If a person inherits his father‘s millions of dollars and leads an easy life, he is not a successful person even in material terms, because there are no difficulties involved in his achieving affluence. The term "success", to be sure, will not sit still for easy definition. But as I understand it, the true meaning of success entails a combination of both the process and the satisfactory result of an endeavor.---Excerpt from Chen Heng‘s speech(全国英语演讲比赛第五届冠军:陈恒,上海外国语大学,2000年)The first and foremost thing is to let people fall in love with the city at first sight, attracting them by its unique image. What image does Beijing intend to create for itself once it has the opportunity to host the 2008 Olympics? It is known to all that the Beijing Municipal Government has already set the theme for the future games: New Beijing, Great Olympics. For me, the 2008 Olympics will be a great green Olympics illuminated with two more special colors, yellow and red.---Excerpt from Qi Yue‘s speech(全国英语演讲比赛第六届冠军:戚悦,北京语言文化大学,2001年)。
