由于有了棋盘山风景区天造地设的山水林海，有了沈阳市植物园万紫千红的美丽园景和2000多种珍奇植物等，本次世博会得到了专业人士的好评。
沈阳世界园艺博览会的主题是“我们与自然和谐共生”。
这里所说的“我们”是个广大的概念，即涵盖了沈阳、中国、世界之意，同时也指代了城市，地球和人类。
本次世博会的会标以玫瑰、地球、机床飞溅出的铁花为基本元素，整个造型像一朵盛开的玫瑰花。
玫瑰花是沈阳的市花。

世博园北区占地面积为110公顷，南北长约1560米，东西宽约1260。
这里有丰富的天然植被，世博园的三大标志性建筑即玫瑰园、百合塔和综合馆均建在这里，世博园的大部分国际展园和全部国内展园也都分布于此。
玫瑰园是因沈阳的市花－玫瑰而建的。
全园占地1万平方米玫瑰园，荟萃3000多种玫瑰，是世界上品种最丰富的玫瑰园。

然后我们去了“森林乐园”，这里有好多高高的树，绿绿的叶子都遮住了太阳，凉爽极了！我在那儿跑来跑去，突然听见“沙沙沙”的声音，原来是小鸟在唱歌！我还捡到了一片树叶，摸着好软好滑，好像在跟我打招呼呢。
