我的家乡盛产西瓜、花生、玉米、板栗、干扁豆等，尤其是干扁豆，是家乡人民的一项重要收入。
干扁豆是由成熟的扁豆加工制作而成的。
每年的春末夏初，爷爷总会选一大块好地来种扁豆。
首先，要播种、施肥，等长出了豆苗，再把一根竹竿插到豆苗旁边，让苗顺着竿子往上爬。
每次开花结出豆角后，爷爷就让我们提着大竹筐去地里摘豆角，摘豆角可不是一件容
易的事，有些豆角结得很低，你要费力地弯下腰去捡；有些豆角结得很高，你要踮起脚来才能把它摘下来，有时还会被掉下来的灰尘迷住眼睛，在采摘的过程中要小心，不要碰到藤，否则它会断。
采摘下来后，还要把豆角捆扎起来，以防散开。
采摘回来的豆角，要放在锅里轻煮四到五分钟，再拿去晾晒。
爷爷家门口有一个用泥巴砌成的灶台，上面放了一个直径为一米的大锅，里面装半锅水，把水烧开后，将豆角放到里面轻煮，并不停的把底下的拨到上面来，还要扇风，我和爷爷奶奶都快被烟熏成火眼金睛了。
要想把豆角煮好，首先要控制好火候，不能煮地太熟，也不能煮地太轻，要适中。
煮完后，我们就把这些豆角提到楼顶，一根一根地摆在地上，让太阳把水分晒干，摆豆角要摆整齐，不能弯曲否则晒干后也是弯的，就卖不出好价钱了，我们忍着太阳的爆晒，把豆角摆的整整齐齐。
晒干后，爷爷找来了几个约一米高的袋子把豆角捆扎好放了进去，并把里面的空气抽空，放了起来。
当收购干豆角的人来后，爷爷和他们讲好价钱，就把一袋袋干豆角卖了，每次都能卖出一个不菲的价钱。
