作为主流电影类型之⼀，科幻⽚⾃诞⽣以来就受到了世⼈的厚爱，不论是对⼈类的反思还是对社会的反讽，科幻电影的内涵都不会逊⾊于所谓的“艺术⽚”，但是作为⼤众最认可的奥斯卡奖，却⼀次都未曾将最佳影⽚表彰给⼀部科幻电影，有些年度科幻巨作，⽐如《⽕星救援》，获得多项提名，但最终颗粒⽆收。
克⾥斯托弗·诺兰堪称“⼤神”级别的导演，其新⽚每每都能令⼈们⼤开眼界。
但是，从《盗梦空间》到《星际穿越》，诺兰电影却基本在奥斯卡“吃瘪”。
同为“⼤神”的詹姆斯·卡梅隆，他的《泰坦尼克号》在奥斯卡拿过最佳影⽚、最佳导演、最佳剪辑三个⼤奖，但到了《阿凡达》基本没拿到什么像样的奖。
科幻⽚在奥斯卡不吃⾹确实是事实，⼤家注意看上⾯的获奖名单，其本上都是最佳视觉、最佳⾳响这类奖项。
