I must say that is wasn’t the job that my parents had hoped I’d get. According to them, a much more suitable thing to do was to work as a skilled technician. I’ve always been artistic. I was lucky enough to find a job in a furnit ure shop while I was still at art school. By the time I graduated I’d managed to save up a bit of money, so I could rent a small studio and start my life as an independent artist.I took part in various exhibitions and one day a few pieces of mine were sold to a well-known sportsman. He showed them to some of his friends. They then started dropping into my studio to see how I worked. Reviews are important for an artist. Mt works caught an art reviewer’s eye and he spoke highly of them in the magazine he wrote for. After that, loads more people visited my website, and I was interviewed by a national newspaper.I do work a lot, but of course I have time off too. A lot of my friends are into hill walking. I am not so interested in that and prefer cycling, which a bunch of us often do at weekend. I used to go running with a couple of neighbors, but I’ve been that up because I don’t have that much time.。
