SAT语法重点知识讲解 SAT语法题型解析词之句法分析
词法和句法
1、时态的考点为2道,特别要注意现在完成时和一般过去时的区别。
2、代词考点为1道,涉及形容词性物主代词与主语的性数配合。
e.g Mudskippers thrive in intertidal regions that are marked by regular, cyclicalchanges in water levels, adjusting its respiration depending on how muchwater is available. 其中的its应该改为their,因为该句的主语是mudskippers。
3、比较结构这个题目出的挺好的,还涉及到助动词前提的问题。
e.g It is widely known that wind turbinesproduce no pollution and thus cause less environmental damage than do powerplants that burn fossil fuels. 一般情况下我们都会这样写这个句子,注意划线的部分,less environmental damage than power plants that burn fossil fuels do. 但是在比较结构中,如果第二个主语过长例如powerplants that burn fossil fuels就过长,是可以把do前提的,所以这个句子是正确的。
4、介词考点为1道,主要是与名词的搭配。
e.g In particular, bimodal respiration—the abilityof acquiring oxygen using gills or through wet skin—sets mudskippers apartfrom their purely water-based counterparts. 其中ability后面的搭配应该为abilityto acquire。
5 、连词考点为9道,仍然是重头戏,5道为run-on句型,4道为平行结构。
e.g The economy of Jeju has expanded toinclude farming and tourism, the reliance on the seafood industry is notas strong. 明显可以感觉到逗号是不可以链接句子的,所以需要在两句话中间加一个连词。
e.g Rather than being activated atdifferent stages of the organism’s life cycle or under particular environmentalconditions, but these two modes of respiration
are usedsimultaneously and at all stages of life. 该句的问题在于Ratherthan being activated at different stages of……是在做状语,这个句子的主干是thesetwo modes of respiration are used simultaneously and at all stages of life.是不缺少连词的,所以but的使用是多余的,需要去掉。

五、并列结构的使用并列结构是指句子中并列的动词、名词或形容词之间的关系。
要注意在并列结构中使用适当的连词来连接句子成分,如and, but, or等。
例如,“I like to swim and to play basketball.”(我喜欢游泳和打篮球)。
六、非谓语动词的使用非谓语动词指的是不带有时态和人称的动词形式,包括不定式、动词-ing形式和过去分词等。
在句子中,非谓语动词的使用要恰当,要符合句子结构和语法要求。
例如,“I want to eat an apple.”(我想吃一个苹果)。
七、介词的正确使用介词用来表示名词之间的位置关系,如in, on, at等。

SAT语法讲义_全_
Identifying Sentence Errors一、主谓一致1. 就前原则(1) N1 of N2 verb(SA T考试中动词的单复数与N1有关,与N2无关)如: a group of students arethe details of the problems are例:The bright (A) fiberglass sculptures of Luis Jimenez has received (B) critical acclaim not only (C) in his home state, New Mexico, but also in (D) New York.No error (E). (P161.1)(2) 名词1+介词+名词2 如:students in the classroom名词,插入语,verb名词+doing/done 如:students studying hard例:Flints found in (A) the region extending from the Nile V alley to (B) the highlands of eastern Iraq attests to (C) the presence of people there as long ago as (D) one hundred thousand years.
The benefits of exercise is as psychological as physical.(A) is as psychological as physical(B) are more than psychological, theyre physical(C) are as much psychological as physical(D) have psychological aspects as well as the physical ones(E) is psychological in parts and physical as well我们可以看出这道题目的主语是benefits是复数,所以谓语动词也应该用复数,但这里谓语动词是单数,所以马上把A排除掉,纵向寻找答案,发现E没有改正错误,D选项错误的换了时态,所以都错了。

Some parents believe that excessive television viewing not only by itself can waste their children’s time, but also that it lower their attention spans.这显然不是一个完美的平行结构not only but also 需要保持A与B的一致。
正确答案 believe not only that excessive television viewing wastes常见平行结构短语(保持词性和句式的一致):not only A but also BBoth A and BEither A or BNeither A nor BA rather than/instead of BFrom A to BPrefer A to B例:I learn a lot from this book, not that book.这个句子看似没有错误,但已经犯了SAT中平行原则的错,最好在that book 前加上from。
平行结构中and 是一个重要的“符号”。
平行句的前后一般都有and 连接起来。
例如看到了and doing,那么前面必定有个doing;看到and because 则前面比有一个because 从句。
题⼲关键词:most effective ly combines the two sentencesbest combines the sentences例题⼀:材料:新OG TEST 1部分:SECTION 2题号:13Typically, the ice sheet begins to show evidence of thawing in late summer. This follows several weeks of higher temperatures.Which choice most effective ly combines the two sentences at the underlined portion?A) summer, followingB) summer, and this thawing followsC) summer, and such thawing followsD) summer and this evidence follows答案:A答案解析:这是⼀道很典型的句⼦合并题,正确答案选A。
分析句⼦不难发现,题⽬中的主⼲句是the ice sheet begins to show evidence of thawing in late summer,A选项中,直接在主句后使⽤现在分词短语following several weeks of higher temperatures,在这样的结构中,分词短语与主句之间⽤逗号隔开,此时分词短语在全句中起状语作⽤,相当于是⼀个修饰的成分,因此A选项结构最为简洁,相当于简单句。
sat语法知识点
sat语法知识点SAT 语法知识点在准备 SAT 考试的过程中,语法部分是相当重要的一个环节。
掌握好SAT 语法的知识点,不仅能够帮助我们在考试中取得更好的成绩,还能提升我们实际的英语语言运用能力。
首先,让我们来谈谈句子结构。
一个完整的句子必须包含主语和谓语。
主语是句子所描述的主要对象,而谓语则是对主语动作或状态的描述。
例如,“The dog runs fast”中,“The dog”是主语,“runs”是谓语。
同时,我们要注意避免句子成分残缺或者多余的情况。
比如,“Because she was sick, so she stayed at home”这个句子就是错误的,因为“Because”和“so”不能同时使用,应该去掉其中一个。
接下来是标点符号的使用。
逗号在 SAT 语法中有着重要的作用。
在列举事物时,要用逗号将各项隔开,例如,“I like apples, bananas, and oranges”在复合句中,如果两个独立的句子之间没有连接词,就不能用逗号直接连接,比如,“I went to the store, I bought some milk”是错误的,应该加上连接词“and”。
还有主谓一致的问题。
这要求主语和谓语在人称和数上保持一致。
当主语是复数时,谓语动词也要用复数形式;主语是单数时,谓语动词要用单数形式。
比如,“The books are on the shelf”和“He plays football every day”时态也是 SAT 语法的一个重要考点。
常见的时态有一般现在时、一般过去时、现在进行时、过去进行时、现在完成时、过去完成时等等。
要根据句子所表达的时间来选择正确的时态。
比如,“I saw him yesterday”使用的是一般过去时,而“He has lived here for five years”使用的是现在完成时。
另外,代词的使用也有讲究。
代词要与其所指代的名词在数和性上保持一致。
SAT基础班语法讲义
SAT基础语法讲义一语法section 简介SAT语法隶属于写作部分,由三部分构成:ISE(Identifying Sentence Errors), IS(Improving Sentences)和IP(Improving Paragraphs)。
5,同类比较,只有同类的东西才能用于as well as和than句型。
EG:The population of China is larger than that of America.6,adj和adv的混用:adj修饰名词,adv可以修饰除名词外的大部分词。
Adj和adv两者之间用比较级,三者或三者以上用最高级。
7,句子结构上,“,”不能连接两个句子,“;”等于and,必须连接两个句子;且一个长句中,谓语动词和连接词的数目要平衡。
Tips:1,having,being放在句中是错误的,放在句首是正确的。
sat文法知识点总结
sat文法知识点总结The SAT Writing and Language Test is designed to evaluate a student's ability to revise and edit written passages for effective expression of ideas and Standard English conventions. The test covers a range of grammar, usage, punctuation, and sentence structure concepts that are important for effective writing. In this article, we will cover the key grammar knowledge points for the SAT and provide examples to help students understand and apply these rules.1. Subject-Verb Agreement:One of the most basic grammar rules is to ensure that the subject and verb in a sentence agree in number. This means that a singular subject should have a singular verb, and a plural subject should have a plural verb.Example:- Incorrect: The dog and the cat is sleeping.- Correct: The dog and the cat are sleeping.2. Verb Tense:It is important to maintain consistent verb tense throughout a passage or essay. Inconsistencies in verb tense can confuse the reader and disrupt the flow of the writing. Example:- Incorrect: She studied for her exam yesterday, and will be studying again tomorrow.- Correct: She studied for her exam yesterday, and will study again tomorrow.3. Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement:Pronouns must agree with their antecedents in gender and number.Example:- Incorrect: Each of the students should submit their homework.- Correct: Each of the students should submit his or her homework.4. Parallelism:Parallel structure should be maintained when listing items or expressing a series of actions in a sentence.Example:- Incorrect: She likes to swim, hiking, and jogging.- Correct: She likes to swim, hike, and jog.5. Modifiers:Adjectives and adverbs should be placed close to the words they modify to avoid confusion or ambiguity.Example:- Incorrect: The man nearly caught the big fish with the net.- Correct: The man nearly caught the fish with the big net.6. Idioms:Certain expressions and phrases have specific idiomatic usage that should be followed. Example:- Incorrect: I am not familiar about this topic.- Correct: I am not familiar with this topic.7. Pronoun Case:The correct form of a pronoun (subjective, objective, or possessive) should be used based on its role in the sentence.Example:- Incorrect: Him and me are going to the movies.- Correct: He and I are going to the movies.8. Sentence Structure:Sentences should be clear and properly structured to convey the intended meaning. Example:- Incorrect: Going to the store, the rain started to pour.- Correct: As I was going to the store, the rain started to pour.9. Sentence Fragments and Run-On Sentences:Sentences should be complete and not run on without proper punctuation.Example:- Fragment: Because of the rain.- Run-on: He went to the store, he bought some bread, and he walked back home.10. Misplaced or Dangling Modifiers:Modifiers should be placed near the words they modify to avoid confusion or ambiguity. Example:- Misplaced: I only ate pizza for dinner.- Dangling: Running down the street, the store caught my attention. The SAT Writing and Language Test also includes questions on punctuation, such as commas, apostrophes, colons, semicolons, and dashes. Let's look at some examples of common punctuation errors and how to correct them.1. Comma Splices:A comma should not be used to join two independent clauses without a coordinating conjunction.Example:- Incorrect: I like to run, it helps me stay fit.- Correct: I like to run; it helps me stay fit.2. Apostrophe Use:Apostrophes are used to show possession or to indicate missing letters in a contraction. Example:- Incorrect: The dogs' are barking loudly.- Correct: The dogs are barking loudly.3. Colon and Semicolon Usage:Colons are used to introduce a list or to connect two related clauses, and semicolons are used to connect closely related independent clauses.Example:- Colon: There are three things I love: music, art, and literature.- Semicolon: He studied hard for the test; however, he still didn't perform well.4. Comma Usage:Commas are used to separate items in a list, set off introductory elements, and separate independent clauses when using a coordinating conjunction.Example:- List: She bought apples, oranges, and bananas.- Introductory element: Before the game, they practiced for hours.- Independent clauses: I went to the store, and I bought some milk.Understanding these grammar knowledge points and practicing with sample questions and passages will help students improve their writing skills and prepare for the SAT Writing and Language Test. By mastering these concepts, students can express their ideas clearly and effectively in their writing, whether it be in academic essays, professional documents, or everyday communication.。
