纪90年代，美国教育考试服务中心(Educational Testing Service, 简称ETS)的Jill Burstein博士等人开发了E-rater，最初被用于管理学研究生入学考试(GMAT)“Analytical Writing Assessment”部分的评分，在2002年申请并在2006年获得专利，是第一个被应用于大规模社会化考试的AES系统。
该系统不仅擅长将学生使用的语言与数据库中不同分数段文章的语言进行比对，关注学生的用词和语法，还可以审核学生的文章组织和语言风格，并通过匹配主题关键词来检测文章发展是否跑题。
然而，自2006年起，ETS不再承办GMAT。
因此，E-rater已由Vantage Learning研发的IntelliMetricTM取代，应用于GMAT的评分。
该系统吸取了人工智能(AI)、自然语言处理(NLP)和统计技术的优势，不仅能够模拟人工从句法、语义和篇章三个层面给出准确评分，还支持日语、法语等多语言文本的评价。
国内关于写作自动评阅系统的研究起步较晚。
北京外国语大学梁茂成教授是我国英语作文评分的开拓者，一直专注于该领域的研究。
其开发的“大规模考试英语作文自动评分系统”于2005年申请了国家专利，得到了众多业界专家的肯定。

【打分公式】选择适合本次作文题目的打分公式,比如四级、六级等;【期望分】设置作文的期望分，期望分会对学生整体分数进行调整;如果是以鼓励学生为主，可以将期望分设置的高一些，这样学生作文得分也相对高一些，反之则会低一些;【批改方式】设置学生作文提交次数，教师的批改不受限制。
系统默认为“系统多次性批改+ 教师一次性批改”，即允许学生在作文时间截止前多次修改作文，如果教师改过了学生的作文，那么学生就不能再对作文进行改动了(系统多次性批改+教师多次性批改:教师改过学生的作文后，学生还可以继续更改作文，改过之后，教师的批改内容会被覆盖，无法保存);【百宝箱】老师启用百宝箱，学生在写作文时系统会提供给其一个练习工具，学生可以用其查找相关知识点。
设置好后，点击确认布置，系统会生成一个作文号，将此作文号告知学生，学生就可以通过此作文号或教师姓名搜索作文题目并提交作文。
3查看和批改学生作文点击“浏览作文”进入下图所示页面，“答题人数”列显示该作文目前提交的人数。
点击答题人数列中的数字，即可进入该题目的学生提交作文列表页面。
点击对应的标题，则可进入教师批改页面。
教师可以修改分数，进行总体的快速点评，同时还可以对词句进行点评，系统自动提供了多种点评建议，教师可进行选择，也可手动输入。
除此之外，教师还可导出学生的作业;对学生的作业进行群批;查看所有同学所提交作文的总体诊断分析报告;并指定作文互评人员等。
4学期总评教师可以查看学生整个学期过程中作文的完成情况。

学习平台使用说明学习平台使用说明平台前端随着互联网的发展，在线教育已然成为了现代教育的主流，学习平台是集在线学习和在线考试为一体的平台，学员不仅可以在线学习还可以在线考试，下载学习平台手机客户端随时随地给自己充电。
首页网站首页主要包括七大块内容，网站最上方是网站logo和使用导航，logo 下方是网站的导航栏，导航栏下方是几个轮播的大图和登录框，轮播图下方是网站热门课程精选，热门课程下面是新闻/通告和教师风采。
1.手机端&用户登录鼠标移到“”页面上会出现一个二维码，扫面这个二维码可以进入学习平台手机端，如下图所示：课程点击“课程”可以进入到网站的选课中心，这个页面中包含了网站中所有的课程，如下图所示：学员可以按专业进行查找，单击某专业可以筛选出该专业下的所有课程。
如：world，点击world可以筛选出world下所有的课程。
如下图：点击某一课程可以进入到该课程的详细页，课程详细页分为五大块，课程缩略图、课程简介、课程目录、主讲老师、新闻资讯。
如下图：教师点击“教师”可以进入教师列表，在教师列表中左边是教师信息，教师右边是教师所讲的课程。
如下图所示：点击“”可以查看该教师的详细信息，教师详细信息包括四块内容，教师简介、工作履历、教师履历、所讲课程、相关教师。
如下图所示：知识库知识库里存放的是教师提供所有课程的相关的知识点内容，类似于学校的图书馆。
学员可以在知识库中查阅与学习的专业相关的资料。
如下图所示，左边是知识库分类，右边是内容，点击某一学科网页右侧会出现该学科下的知识内容。
点击某一知识点的标题可以查看详细内容，且知识库与题库相互关联。
测验测试和考试虽然意思相同，但在学习平台中性质确实不一样的，“测试”是指平台给学员提供的模拟试卷，用于学员自我练习使用的。
学员也可以按专业分类选择该科目下的试卷，试卷的题目都是从题库随机调取，每次打开题目都和前一次打开的试题不同，因此同一试卷学员可以进行多次考试，学员交卷后会自动弹出测试结果页面，且每次测验结果会记录在学员后台的“测试成绩”中，方便学员学习巩固。
