Some people argue that those advertisements aimed at children should be removed from screen because children intend to mimic behaviors and performances without careful thinking if there is no supervision from parents. However, I'm not at all convinced that all advertisements aimed at our next generations should be prohibited, although the risk of adverse impacts can not be totally gotten rid.

Many children are exposed to a large number of advertisements in the modern world. These advertisements have encouraged them to buy many snacks, toys and video games.

One reason is that lots of advertisements aimed at children can be very useful for our parents to determine what kind of items to buy. Those advertisements provide parents more information for learning effects, functions, and prices of different branches. Then, they may be able to make well-informed decisions. If there are no advertisements aimed at children, they will be confused when they want to buy something for their children, such as milk powder.

It is understandable why some citizens propose to ban advertisements aimed at children. People at their early ages are inquisitive about everything that they watched on TV. Without logical thinking, some information from advertisements will be misunderstood, and children may simulate some dangerous but attractive behaviors and hurt themselves.

For this concern, those commercial advertisements which may misguide children should be restricted with no hesitation, while other advertisements which can be useful and educational should not be banned. That means our governments have to pay more attention to regulate and control the content of advertisements aimed at children rather than restrict all access to them. To sum up, advertisements should not be banned without careful considerations and selections, although some of them may have an adverse impact on children.
