辅酶Q的基本结构如图1所示。

图1中n为侧链聚异戊二烯基的聚合数目,根据n的不同,常见的辅酶Q可分为CoQ6、CoQ7、CoQ8、CoQ9和CoQ10等。

不同生物中所含辅酶Q有所差异,例如人体内以CoQ10为主[1],但同时还含有少量CoQ9;老鼠体内则以CoQ9为主,同时含少量CoQ10;大肠杆菌中以CoQ8为主;酵母系统中,从CoQ6到CoQ10均有合成[1]。

辅酶Q存在于各种生物膜中,包括线粒体膜、高尔基体膜、过氧化酶体膜及细胞膜中[2]。

CoQ具有重要的生理功能和应用价值。

CoQ是生物呼吸粒上电子传递的一环,同时还是生物膜的抗氧化屏障[3],并参与蛋白二硫键的形成[4]及作为酶的辅酶[5]。

Blood is pumped by the heart. Heart embeds two synchronous cardiac pumps. The right heart receives blood from the systemic system, and the left one from the pulmonary system. Each pump consists of a low pressure chamber (called the atrium) and a high pressure chamber (ventricle). The atrium is filled from veins, and empties via a valve (tricuspid for the right heart and mitral for the left) into the ventricle.
