二、学情分析本课的教学对象是五年级学生。
在本册教材中，首次出现了阅读课这一课型。
虽然学生此前通过两年的英语学习，已具备了初步的听说读写的能力，但阅读策略仍需继续提高，而仅靠每单元的阅读课是无法达到这一目标的。
所以在平日的每一课教学中我都有意加强对学生阅读策略的指导。
这节课的设计，就是注重通过阅读策略在教学过程中的渗透，来逐步提高学生的阅读能力和自主学习能力的。
三、教学目标（一）知识目标1．能听懂、会说并认读下列单词：holiday，enjoy，difficult，place，many，went；短语：Beijing opera，a little。
2. 能听懂、会说并认读下列句子：“What did you do in the holidays? I…”“Did you…? Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t.”。
（二）能力目标1．能借助图片或真实情境，流利地询问别人和讲述自己寒假做的事情，并能结合生活实际，做到学以致用。
2．初步掌握阅读的方法和策略，并能逐步实现有目的地选择和运用阅读策略，解决阅读中存在的问题。
（三）情感目标1．培养学生将学到的英语知识运用到生活中的能力，提高学生用英语与他人交流的能力。
2．培养学生形成良好的学习策略，为将来进一步学习英语打下良好的基础。
3．引导学生关注中外文化异同，加深对中国文化的理解。

一、教材分析
本单元的话题是寒假，本课顺承第一课的故事情节，Peter向好朋友Wang Hong，Li Ming和Danny介绍自己回加拿大的照片，并为此展开讨论。
从语法的角度来说继续学习一般过去时态，特别是一般过去时态的肯定和否定句，Did的一般疑问句的表达及相应的回答。
二、教学目标
1.知识、技能目标
能在文本语境中听懂、会说、认读、拼写单词them, so, dog, lake, also；能听懂、会说、认读单词和短语：ice hockey, ski, dog sledding, ice fishing, got，并能结合句型灵活运用。

同时也介绍了西方国家孩子们的寒假生活，培养了学生的跨文化意识。
