1、在学期前老师们聚集在一起学习了小学英语课程标准，从概念上对英语教学有了新的认识。
在课程改革的大环境下，新英语课程标准对英语学科的发展提出了新的要求，我们教师要不断更新教学观念和知识结构，提高自身的综合素质，符合时代潮流的发展要求。
在教学中，我们每位教师都努力做到“三创新”――创新课堂教学设计，以学生的发展为本为主题；创新教学方法，真正提高40分钟课堂教学效率；创新教学手段，提高英语学习的趣味性。
2、认真落实常规教学各项任务，统一进度和内容，写好教案，同时按进度时时反思学生的课堂实际情况。
教案、作业、听课本每周各检查一项。
除了认真写二次备课和反思，最值得表扬的是英语老师们在作业评语，大部分老师的评语都非常的真诚、有针对性、激励性强，句句深入人心，这也是英语保持学生英语良好成绩的有效方法之一。
3、当然，在教学常规检查中也发现了一些不足。
如作业漏二次批改，二次备课、反思不够详细，博文上传较慢。
通过大大小小多次检查，多次提醒，这些不良现象有了明显的改进。
4、每次月考期中考试之后老师们都会坐在一起分析考试情况，分享班级进步的经验，通过失分情况反思教学，老师们相互启发、取长补短并运用在接下来的教学中。
5、四月份，在学校各楼层张贴了各年级学生英语书法展示。
二、教研活动
本学期海口市教研员吴允秀老师继续到我校进行指导教学，指导内容有：
1、英语活动课的指导。
以课文内容为主体，老师们通过不同的方式让学生们运用英语，玩英语。
让老师在英语活动设置方面有了新的收获。
2、六年级复习课的培训。
让老师们更清晰的认识到复习课的意义和方法，在有效的时间内进行高效的复习。
尽管这次的主题是六年级复习课，但理念和方法是相通的，英语组全体老师都得到了很大的收获。
3、英语考试命题培训。
一份试卷怎么命，怎么才能有效的检测到学生的学习成果，这里边有很大的学问。
通过学习，老师们走出了之前的出题误区，学习了怎样才能命一份科学的有针对性的试题。
4、一课两上，两备两评。
以年级为单位，分为备课--点评--一次上课--评课--二次上课--评课几个环节，让老师们学习怎样扎扎实实上好一节高效的常规课。
5、5月份攀登项目组带领全市的英语老师来我校教研。
在英语组全体老师的帮助下，林**老师上了一节五年级常规与攀登的整合课，得到了专家的认可和好评。
三、改进与发展努力方向
1、提高教学素养，英语组老师们的英语口语及板书仍需练习和提高。
2、认真研读小学英语课程标准，少走弯路。
严谨制定教学大目标、小目标并严格执行，提高效率。
3、突出教研组集体作用。
教研组的集体作用在很大程度上体现在公开课上，一节公开课的好坏可以看出教研组的力量。
