我们小组选择四年级的一篇课文进行了集体备课：《Beijing is the capital of China.》。
我们将这节课定位为随堂课，意在通过扎实的语言训练使学生能牢固掌握知识点，并能熟练运用句型。
这篇课文出自《新标准英语》第四册第七模块第二单元，在第一单元中，讲述了Daming制作了一个project简单地介绍了美国的一些情况。
用上的句型有：People speak English in America. Washington D.C. is the capital of the USA. It’s in the east. San Francisco is a nice city. 等。
而第二单元是在此基础上以句型Beijing is the capital of China. It’s in the east.为重点来介绍了其他城市的一些基本情况。
一、经过我们小组的讨论交流，拟定了以下教学目标：
1. 巩固四个方位词east, west, north, south，并能听说读写
2. 能简单介绍一个城市及其方位。
二、重点：方位词
三、难点：拓展运用
四、围绕目标我们设计了以下教学环节:
1. 以游戏开课
兴趣是最好的老师，而好的开始是成功的一半，为了将学生的注意力从课外吸引到课堂来，开课时，尽量以有趣新颖的方式进行。
因此，我们设计了一个炸弹游戏，此游戏意在利用单词卡片复习在本课中需要用到的词汇，比如说地名，形容词等。
这个游戏的有趣之处在于在单词卡片中藏一张炸弹卡，制造紧张激烈氛围。
当读到炸弹卡时，所有学生必须大喊BOMB。
有了这动感而刺激的学习氛围，相信学生对接下来的英语课堂会充满了期待。

2. 新课引入
a. 与学生讨论太阳升起的方向，请学生起立，面向东方，并认识其他3个方位词。
方位词的引出与学生的生活感知紧密联系的。
让学生能更加清晰地知道在生活中如何使用这几个词汇。
b. 操练方位词，检查每个学生对词语的认读情况。
c. TPR活动：学生起立，教师发出指令，指错的学生坐下，其他学生继续执行，最后坐下的学生是胜者。
通过活动，让学生感知英语课堂的活跃与融洽。
d. 学习歌曲，巩固方位词（歌曲出自冀教版第六册）
激发起学生的兴趣之后，就要想办法使这种兴趣能持久地巩固下去，小学生年龄小，注意力不能较长时间集中，为了稳定学习兴趣，适当的做些游戏、唱歌、说绕口令、背小诗，通过适时地唱唱玩玩，培养并保持学生学习的兴趣，使他们在轻松愉快的气氛中去巩固所学知识。
而我们在冀教版学习的这首歌简单易学，琅琅上口，能帮助学生更好地掌握方位词。
3. 课文学习
1）国内城市介绍
a. 出示中国地图，借助实物认识地图上的方位。
因为平面上的方位有些许差别，这需要老师简单讲述。
并板书四个方位词，引导学生拼读，使其能从读写方面对方位词有更好的掌握。
b. 请学生在黑板上指出地图上北京的位置，提问：Where’s Beijing? 引导学生回答it’s in the east.
c. 引导学生简单介绍北京。
可用上句型It’s the capital of China. It’s an old city….
d. 同样的方法引入三亚的介绍。
引导学生联系以前学过的形容词：famous, big, beautiful…
2）美国城市的介绍
猜图游戏，以幻灯出示各个国家标志性建筑或景点，让学生猜出城市的名称。
以此引入对美国城市的介绍。
在小学英语教学中，创设情境让学生感知语言，在真实情境中运用语言会收到意想不到到的效果。
在课堂中利用多媒体设备来突破教学重点和难点，把文字、声音、图像等融为一体，创设学生主动参与语言交际活动的情境，让学生走入情境、理解情境，为运用拓展作铺垫。

五一旅游汇报，介绍自己去了哪些城市旅游。
语言是交际的工具，它具有实际性和交际性。
实际生活水平是语言学习的试金石。
英语的教学时空必须由课内延伸到课外，把学习迁移拓展到我们的生活中。
我们设计的这个环节，为学生增加了语言实践机会，帮助学生在实际生活中创造英语环境，鼓励学生大胆开口说英语，用英语，并能将教师与学生进行真实情感的交流和思维的碰撞，也是语言的自然流露，学生就是这样简单的学会了语言并能正确使用起来。
7. 在《Oh, we love holidays》的歌声中结束课堂。
与前一环节相呼应。
新课程倡导体验、实践、参与、交流与合作的学习方式，强调学生能用英语做事情，我们设计的这一堂课，让学生在教师的指导下，通过感知、体验、参与和合作等方式，实现任务的目标，感受成功，使学生更容易产生兴趣，更容易理解语言的意义，掌握语言技能，帮助他们尽快地在真实的交际活动中使用英语这一交际工具。
