2020年贵州高考英语作文范文

2020年贵州高考英语作文范文The 2020 Gaokao English Writing Test in Guizhou Province has attracted widespread attention. The topic of the essay is "The Power of Dreams". Here is a sample essay to help you understand how to write a high-quality English composition.Dreams are an essential part of human life. They give us purpose, motivation, and a sense of direction. As the famous poet Langston Hughes once said, "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly." In this essay, we will explore the power of dreams and how they can shape our lives.First and foremost, dreams have the power to inspire us. When we have a dream, we are filled with passion and determination to pursue it. Whether it's a dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur, a talented musician, or a compassionate doctor, our dreams drive us to work hard and overcome obstacles. They give us the strength to push through difficult times and keep moving forward.Furthermore, dreams have the power to unite people. When we share our dreams with others, we create a sense of community and belonging. Whether it's a group of friends working towards a common goal or a global movement advocating for change, dreams have the power to bring people together and create positive change in the world. Moreover, dreams have the power to drive innovation and progress. Many of the world's greatest inventions and achievements have been the result of someone's dream. From the invention of the light bulb to the exploration of outer space, dreams have inspired people to think outside the box and push the boundaries of what is possible. In addition, dreams have the power to bring hope and happiness. When we have a dream, we have something to look forward to and strive for. This sense of purpose and optimism can have a profound impact on our mental and emotional well-being. It gives us a reason to get out of bed in the morning and face the day with a positive attitude. In conclusion, the power of dreams cannot be underestimated. They have the ability to inspire, unite, drive progress, and bring hope to our lives. As we navigate through theups and downs of life, it is important to hold on to our dreams and never lose sight of what we truly desire. After all, as Walt Disney once said, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." So let's embrace the power of dreams and let them guide us towards a brighter and more fulfilling future.。

2020年宁夏高考英语作文范文

2020年宁夏高考英语作文范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Life as a KidHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I'm in the 5th grade at Sunny Hills Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my life as a kid. It's a pretty fun life if you ask me!Let me start by telling you about my family. I live with my mom, dad, and little brother Tommy who is 7 years old. My mom works as a nurse at the hospital. She has to get up really early but she's home by dinner time. My dad is a software engineer which means he works on computers and codes and stuff. I'm not totally sure what he does but I know he's really smart!Tommy is a major pain most of the time, like all little brothers I guess. He's always trying to get into my room and play with my toys. And he makes a huge mess everywhere he goes! But he can be fun sometimes when he's not being annoying. We like to play games like hide and seek or tag in the backyard. I always let him win though because he's just a little kid.At school, my favorite subjects are art and PE. Art is fun because I love drawing, painting, making crafts and all that creative stuff. I'm a pretty good artist if I do say so myself! In PE, I love running around and playing games like kickball or dodgeball. It's a nice break from sitting at a desk all day.My least favorite subjects are probably math and science. Math is so boring with all the numbers and equations. I can never remember all the formulas and rules. Science isn't too bad but I don't really like dissecting animals or doing experiments. It's kind of gross if you ask me!After school, I have a few activities I do. On Mondays I have soccer practice. I've played soccer since I was in kindergarten and I'm pretty good at it. I'm a forward so I get to try and score goals which is fun. Tuesdays I have Girl Scouts where we do crafts, sell cookies and learn about being a good citizen. Wednesdays are my favorite because that's when I have art class! We learn how to paint, draw, sculpt and all sorts of cool artsy things. In my free time, I love reading, riding my bike around the neighborhood, and hanging out with my best friend Emma. We've been best buddies since 1st grade! Emma and I love having sleepovers, watching movies, and just being silly together. Best friends are the best. Some of my other favorite things are ice cream (chocolate is the best flavor!), the color purple, the movie Frozen, and the singer Taylor Swift. I wanted to be either a artist or a teacher when I grow up, but that seems so far away! For now, I'm just happy being a kid.Well, that's a little bit about my life. Being a 10-year-old is pretty great - going to school, having fun, playing with friends, and not having too many responsibilities. I try to enjoy it while it lasts before I become a weird teenager! Let me know if you have any other questions about my life as a kid.篇2My Big Summer AdventureHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I just had the most amazing summer and I can't wait to tell you all about it! Every year, my family goes on a big trip during the summer break. This year, we went on an incredible adventure that took us halfway across China. We started our journey in my hometown of Yinchuan, the capital city of Ningxia. The first stop on our trip was Beijing. I was so excited because I had learned all about Beijing in school. It's the capital of China and home to incredible historical sites like theForbidden City and the Great Wall of China. When we arrived, I couldn't believe my eyes! The Forbidden City was even bigger and grander than I had imagined. It felt like stepping back in time as we walked through the ancient gates and marveled at the beautiful architecture. After spending a few days exploring Beijing, we hopped on a high-speed train headed to Xi'an. I had never been on a bullet train before and it was the coolest experience ever! The train went so fast, it felt like we were flying. In just a few hours, we had traveled over 600 miles. Isn't that crazy? In Xi'an, we visited one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world – the Terracotta Army. Can you imagine an underground army of thousands of life-sized clay soldiers, horses and chariots? It was built over 2,000 years ago to protect an emperor in the afterlife. The level of detail and artistry was just mind-blowing. I felt like a real explorer uncovering an ancient secret! From Xi'an, we flew to the city of Chengdu, which is famous for its pandas. We went to a incredible breeding center where we got to see these gentle giants up close. The baby pandas were sooooo cute and cuddly! I even got to hold one for a fewminutes. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I'll never forget. Our final stop was the beautiful city of Chongqing. It's built along the banks of the Yangtze River and has a very unique landscape with skyscrapers and houses climbing up the steep hillsides. We took a cruise down the Yangtze and the views were breathtaking. I had never seen anything quite like it.Throughout our journey, we sampled the most delicious Chinese cuisines – from mouthwatering Peking duck in Beijing to hot and spicy Sichuan dishes in Chengdu. My taste buds were tingling with all the different flavors! We also picked up fun souvenirs like traditional Chinese outfits, decorative fans, and jade jewelry to remind us of our amazing trip. When it was finally time to head home, I felt a little sad that our adventure was over. But I was also incredibly grateful to my parents for giving me the chance to explore so many new places and experience different cultures. This trip was truly the highlight of my summer and has inspired me to keep learning about the world around me. Maybe I'll become an explorer or travel writer when I grow up!I hope you enjoyed hearing about my big summer adventure across China. It was full of fun, excitement, learning and makingspecial family memories that I'll cherish forever. I can't wait to plan my next epic journey!篇3The 2020 Gaokao Was No Match for Me!Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a little 3rd grader here in Ningxia. I just wanted to tell you all about my big adventure taking the English portion of the 2020 Gaokao exam. It was crazy! Now I know what you're thinking - "Xiaoming, you're way too young to be taking that huge test! It's for high school seniors getting ready for college." And you're right, I'm just a kid. But you see, my English is really really good. I'm basically an English expert for my age.It all started when my mom signed me up for an afterschool English tutoring program when I was in 1st grade. At first, I'll admit, I wasn't too excited about giving up my play time to study. But then I got totally hooked on learning English! The grammar, the vocabulary, listening to natives speakers - I just couldn't get enough.By the time 2nd grade rolled around, I was reading at a middle school level in English. My tutor said I had excellent pronunciation and writing abilities too. That's when we hatched the big plan - I would try to take the English portion of the Gaokao exam as practice! My parents weren't so sure at first. "Xiaoming, that test is extremely difficult. It's meant for teenagers who have studied English for many years," my dad warned me. But I was determined. With my tutor's help, I studied hard for months, reviewing all the concepts I would need. Finally, test day arrived in June 2020. Despite being by far the youngest one there, I marched right into that examsite holding my sharpened pencils high. The proctors did a double take when they saw me, but they couldn't stop me from sitting down and taking the test. This was my moment! The listening portion was easy peasy lemon squeezy. Barely even had to try to catch all the details. The reading comprehension gave me a little trouble though - a few of the passages used some really obscure vocabulary that even I wasn't familiar with. But I diligently deployed my contextual reasoning skills and pushed through. Then came writing time, which is where I knew I would truly shine. The prompt was something like "What advances in technology do you think will most improve the world in the next 20 years?" Well, as an expert in both English and looking to the future, I couldn't have asked for a better question!I spent the next couple hours feverishly scribbling away, pouring all my big ideas onto those pages. I wrote about amazing innovations like flying cars, hologram phones, artificial intelligence assistants, and even ideas for colonizing Mars. Needless to say, I absolutely filled up those booklets with my wildest dreams and ambitions. When time was finally up, I had to be about dragged away from my desk, I was so engrossed in my writing. I knew right then that I had given it my absolute all. As I headed home, visions of top scores danced in my head. Maybe I would even get a perfect score and they would have to make a new category above that!A few months later, the Gaokao results came out. I bounced up and down with anticipation as my tutor went to go check my score online. She came running back to me with the biggest smile I've ever seen. "Xiaoming! You got...an 89!"I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed at first. After all, I never got anything less than 95% on my English tests at mytutoring center. But my tutor showed me that an 89 was actually an incredibly high score, even for native speakers! She said my writing was some of the best and most creative she had ever seen from someone my age.My parents were beside themselves with pride, and immediately took me out to celebrate at my favorite hotpot restaurant. They said my performance was amazing, but I should probably wait a few more years before attempting the full Gaokao. I agreed - after all, I still have my whole childhood to enjoy! So there you have it - the unbelievable story of how I, a mere 3rd grader, conquered the English section of the infamous 2020 Ningxia Gaokao. Will I take it again when I'm older and wiser? You'll just have to wait and see! But one thing's for sure - with my skills, the test doesn't stand a chance against me. Look out world, here comes Xiaoming!篇4My Big DreamHi there! My name is Xiaoming, and I'm a 10-year-old kid from Ningxia. I love learning English because I think it's a super cool language, and I want to share my big dream with you.You see, when I grow up, I want to become an astronaut! Ever since I was a little kid, I've been fascinated by the stars and planets in the night sky. I used to spend hours gazing up at them, imagining what it would be like to soar through the cosmos and explore new worlds. My parents bought me a telescope for my 8th birthday, and that's when I became completely obsessed with space! I would spend every clear night peering through the lens, marveling at the craters on the moon and trying to spot planets like Mars and Jupiter. I even started keeping a journal where I'd write down all the cool things I learned about the universe. In school, my favorite subjects are science and math. I love learning about how rockets work and the physics behind space travel. I'm also really good at math, which I know is super important for astronauts. Whenever we have to do calculations or solve complicated equations, I'm always the first one to raise my hand!I've already started preparing by joining the school's astronomy club and attending lectures by visiting scientists. Last summer, my parents even took me to a space camp where I got to experience what it's like to live and work in a simulated space station. It was the coolest thing ever!Someday, I hope to work for China's National Space Administration or even the International Space Station. Can you imagine how amazing it would be to actually go into space and float around in zero gravity? Or to look back at our beautiful planet Earth from hundreds of miles away? I get goosebumps just thinking about it!But being an astronaut isn't just about the adventure and excitement (although those are definitely big parts of it!). I also want to contribute to humanity's understanding of the universe and help make new discoveries that could benefit people back on Earth. Maybe I'll be part of the team that finds evidence of life on another planet, or maybe I'll help develop new technologies for space travel and exploration.I know the road ahead won't be easy, but I'm ready to work as hard as I possibly can to make my dream a reality. With dedication, perseverance, and a passion for learning, I truly believe I can become an astronaut and contribute to humanity's quest to explore the final frontier. So wish me luck, folks! Who knows, maybe one day you'll see me soaring up into the stars, representing China and Ningxia on an epic adventure through the vast expanse of space. The sky's the limit... or should I say, the universe's the limit!篇5My Awesome School DaysHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I'm in 5th grade and I just love going to school! I know some kids don't really like it, but for me, it's the best. I have so much fun learning new things every day.My favorite subjects are science and art. In science, we get to do a lot of cool experiments. Last week, we made little volcanoes out of clay and baking soda and then poured in some vinegar to make them "erupt!" It was so awesome seeing the lava (well, not real lava of course) bubble up and spill over the sides. I love hands-on stuff like that because it really helps the lessons stick in my brain.Art class is a blast too. We get to paint, draw, sculpt with clay...you name it! Recently, we learned about portraits and had to draw self-portraits. Mine didn't look exactly like me, but it was still pretty good I think. I gave myself bright pink hair just for fun! Our art teacher, Mr. Sanchez, always encourages us to be creative and think outside the box. He says art is all about expressing yourself.Recess is definitely my favorite part of the school day though. I'm a total playground warrior! As soon as the recess bell rings, I sprint out to the playground and race my friends to the swing set. We take turns pushing each other in the swing, seeing who can go the highest without jumping off. I'm basically a daredevil! The monkey bars are fun too. Did you know I can cross them without my feet touching the ground at all? I'm a regular little monkey!Sometimes we also play kickball or basketball out on the blacktop. The boys say I have a killer throwing arm for kickball. And in basketball, I'm pretty much the queen of stealing the ball. The other kids are always like "Whoaaa, where'd she come from??" because I'm so sneaky and quick. What can I say, I'm just a stellar athlete! At lunchtime, me and my best friends Zoe and Emma always sit together at a table near the window. We talk and laugh about everything under the sun while we eat. Zoe's mom is an amazing cook, so she always has the most delicious homemade lunches. Sometimes I'm a tiny bit jealous because my lunches are kind of boring in comparison. But Zoe always shares her food with me, so I don't mind too much. After lunch, we have reading time, which is one of my favorite parts of the day. Our teacher, Mrs. Parker, has a reallysoothing voice that's perfect for reading aloud to the class. She always does different character voices too, which cracks me up. Just last week, she read us a chapter of The BFG by Roald Dahl and she made the BFG sound just hilarious!Even though reading time is great, I'll admit that sometimes my mind starts to wander and I zone out a little. Suddenly I'm daydreaming about exploring a magical forest full of unicorns and fairies, or going on some crazy adventure in outer space! An imaginative mind like mine can run a little TOO wild at times. Maybe that's why I love reading and being read to so much - it feeds my overactive imagination in the best way possible.Well, those are some of the highlights of my typical school day. Wasn't that more exciting than you were expecting? School is just a non-stop blast for a fun-loving kid like me! Sure, there's work to be done and learning to happen. But where else can you hang out with your best friends, play incredibly awesome games at recess, express yourself through art, and spark your imagination - all in one place?I know I'm just a 5th grader, but I can already tell that these are going to be some of my most cherished memories when I'm all grown up. School is the best! I feel pretty lucky to be a kid, if you ask me. I just hope middle school and high school are half asgreat as these elementary days have been. Although honestly, how could they not be? Learning is always an adventure when you approach it with an open, curious mind...which is exactly what I plan to do!Okay, well that's all for now! This kid has got to run - there's a double-dutch tournament happening at recess that I can't miss. Catch you later, alligators!篇6My Favorite ThingsHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I love going to school and learning new things every day. My teacher asked us to write about our favorite things for an assignment, so I thought I'd share mine with you!One of my very favorite things is reading books. I really like getting lost in the stories and using my imagination. My favorite book series is about a young wizard named Harry Potter. He goes to a magic school and has all sorts of adventures with his friends fighting evil wizards and creatures. I think it would be so fun to be able to do magic! I've read all the books several times.Another favorite of mine is playing outside. I have a lot of energy, so I like being able to run around and play games. My favorite is hide and seek. I'm really good at finding sneaky hiding spots that my friends can never find me in. Sometimes we play for hours chasing each other around the neighborhood. Playing outside is good exercise and way more fun than sitting inside all day.I also really enjoy drawing and art class at school. I love getting creative with paints, crayons, colored pencils, and markers. One of my best drawings is of my family - my mom, dad, little sister, and our dog Fluffy. I tried to make it really colorful and vibrant. My art teacher said I have a lot of talent! Maybe I'll be an artist when I grow up.Speaking of Fluffy, she's definitely one of my top favorite things too. Fluffy is a little white poodle and she's my best friend. She always gets so excited to see me when I get home from school, wagging her tail and licking my face. We love playing fetch and going for walks together. She's super cuddly and I give her lots of hugs. Pets are the best!My favorite food is probably pizza. My mom makes homemade pizza sometimes and lets me help put all the toppings on. I like to load it up with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, and extra cheese! Yum! We have pizza night every Friday and I look forward to it all week. Pizza is just so gooey, saucy, and delicious. One more of my absolute favorite things is the holiday Christmas. I love decorating our tree with lights and ornaments. We hang up stockings and lights around the house too. And I get to make a gingerbread house each year, which is so much fun! The best part is opening presents on Christmas morning. My parents always spoil me and my sister with lots of new toys and games. Christmas is a magical, cozy time filled with yummy treats, festive decorations, and family time.Well, those are some of my very favorite things! Making that list makes me realize how lucky I am to have such a fun, happy life filled with things I enjoy. A kid couldn't ask for more really. I'll keep working hard at school and being a good kid so I can keep having more and more favorite things as I get older. Thanks for reading about what I love! Let me know what some of your favorite things are too.。
