My brain was absolute mush at that point but I somehow managed to gut my way through reading comprehension passages and random questions about Chinese history, world geography, and current events.When that final section ended, I'd never felt such a mix of pure relief and utter exhaustion. My hand was basically crippled from bubbling in so many answers. As I turned in my test booklet,I pondered whether I'd even gotten a single question correct on that beast of a test.In the end, I have no idea how I did or what my score was. Nobody has been able to see their results yet. But my parents remain cautiously optimistic that my years of studying paid off enough to get into a decent high school at least.
