《牛津高中英语》模块四第二单元Project教学设计摘要:本文针对目前教师对Project课型教学设计存在的困惑,以分析《牛津高中英语》模块四第二单元Project为切入点,对Project课型如何弹性安排课时,如何处理课文内容,如何安排学生准备课题,如何督促学生完成课题,如何展示评价课题进行阐述,探讨了Project课型教学的有效途径。
关键词:《牛津高中英语》 Project 教学设计 Project板块是《牛津高中英语》的特色,是课堂教学的延伸,属于典型的探究式学习,旨在“发展学生综合语言运用能力”(教育部,2003),但也是英语课堂教学难点。
2005年秋季,江苏全省使用这套教材,笔者在听课和访谈中发现,不少教师对Project的教学设计存在困惑。
《牛津高中英语》Project通常先呈现一到两篇阅读材料,为学生完成特定课题提供形式和内容的范例。
学生在接下来讨论、调查、专访、文献检索等一系列活动中,用英语完成任务,从而获得综合英语知识,并发展综合语言运用能力。
这一理念符合美国著名实用主义教育家杜威提出的“做中学”,杜威指出“唯一的真正教育是通过对儿童能力的刺激而来的”,“儿童自己的本能和能力为一切教育提供了素材,并指出了起点”(赵祥麟,1981)。
Project的目标定位很好,但因教材信息量大、课时紧,且Project活动和高考无直接联系;学生压力大时间少,Project活动的“性价比”不高。
其实不然,教师可选择并设计适量Project活动,进而促进英语教学。
笔者将以《牛津高中英语》Module 4 Unit 2的Project为例,探讨Project 课型各个教学环节的设计。
一、调整处理课文,完成课题Planning模块四第二单元的主题是“Sporting events”。
教师有必要一开始浏览整个单元,带领学生初步了解单元内容。
本单元Project难度低,笔者决定提前进行Project教学,用一课时处理课文,让学生按要求分工、确定课题,提前进入Planning阶段。
Module1Unit2教案

(1)词汇的运用:学生往往在词汇运用上存在困难,如何将词汇灵活运用于句子中,表达自己的意思。
举例:学生在表达家庭成员关系时,可能会混淆brother和sister,需要教师在课堂上通过实例进行讲解和指导。
(2)一般现在时态的运用:学生在掌握一般现在时态的用法上可能存在困难,特别是动词变化。
(2)句型:掌握一般现在时态的句型,如:He/She is my ...;This is my family.
举例:能够使用一般现在时态句型介绍家庭成员,如:“She is my mother. He is my father.”
(3)语法:学会使用一般现在时态表达家庭成员的日常活动。
举例:能够正确运用一般现在时态描述家庭成员的爱好,如:“My brother likes playing football.”
4.学生在小组讨论中,能够围绕主题展开讨论,提出自己的观点和想法。但在分享讨论成果时,部分学生的表达不够清晰、准确。为了提高学生的表达能力,我将在教学中注重培养学生的逻辑思维和语言组织能力。
5.课后,我将对本节课的教学效果进行反思,针对学生的反馈和表现,调整教学策略,以提高教学效果。
3.成果展示:每个小组将向全班展示他们的讨论成果和角色扮演的结果。
(四)学生小组讨论(用时10分钟)
1.讨论主题:学生将围绕“家庭成员词汇和一般现在时态在实际生活中的应用”这一主题展开讨论。他们将被鼓励提出自己的观点和想法,并与其他小组成员进行交流。
2.引导与启发:在讨论过程中,我将作为一个引导者,帮助学生发现问题、分析问题并解决问题。我会提出一些开放性的问题来启发他们的思考。
二、核心素养目标
《Module1 Unit2》的核心素养目标旨在培养学生的语言能力、思维品质、文化意识和学习能力。1.语言能力:通过本单元的学习,学生能够掌握并运用描述家庭成员和关系的词汇、句型,流利地介绍自己的家庭;2.思维品质:培养学生运用英语进行逻辑思维和表达,提高观察、分析、解决问题的能力;3.文化意识:使学生了解中学习方式,提高学生英语听力、口语、阅读和写作技能,形成有效的学习策略。这些目标符合新教材要求,注重培养学生的综合素养。

What is the generation gap (代沟)?

Generation gap is a concept which means a lack of understanding and communication between parents and children. Children always complain that their parents do not understand them while parents worry about their children's behaviors and ideas. Why does there exist a generation gap between the children and the parents? Firstly, people who live in different time have different viewpoints towards social customs and tradition. For example, parents who were born in 1970's are very surprised at the fashion in 1990's. Secondly, the parents and children seldom sit down together to talk or communicate with each other equally. If they do so, the gap will be narrowed, If not, it will widen. In most cases, the parents often blame the children's behavior or style of clothes instead of caring about their thoughts. Thirdly, the children want to be more independent, but the parents still want to take children under their wings. To ease the problem and bridge the generation gap, parents should treat their children as friends and try to understand the feelings and thoughts of the young. Meanwhile, children should respect their parents and think of the problems from their parents„ viewpoint. Furthermore, the parents should keep study and catch up with the development of the fashion. Only in this way will they understand their children's behavior. Work together, the problem will be solved.
Cause growing pains of children
People of different ages often think differently about the same thing. Parents dislike what their children think and do, while children often complain that their parents cannot understand them.
