KONGSBERG MARITIME AZIMUTH THRUSTERSAzipullKongsberg Maritime azimuth thruster (Azipull)Is a low drag, high efficient pulling thruster. It combines the advantageof the pulling propeller with the flexibility of using almost any type ofdrive to suit the customer’s specific requirement. The Azipull is designedfor continuous service speed at 24 knots, while maintaining excellentmanoeuvrability.High hydrodynamic efficiency, fuel efficiency, course stability, low noiseand vibration levels are other key characteristics of the Azipull.Internally, it has a purely mechanical drive system based on well-proventechnology using bevel gears at the top and bottom of the leg. Power is fedto the unit through a horizontal input shaft within the hull, and the unitincorporates its own steering motors for azimuthing. The Azipull combines the advantages of an azimuthing thruster offeringhigh manoeuvrability, and low drag high efficient propulsor enabling highspeeds. The flexibility of the unit is also enhanced by the fact that it isavailable in both CP and FP. The Azipull is delivered with remote controlsystems.06.Azimuth-1 of 2-11.06.19The main characteristics are:• Low drag, high efficiency pulling azimuth thruster • High hydrodynamic and total efficiency • Low noise and vibration levels • Course stability • Continuous service speed of 24 knots while maintaining good manoeuvrability • Can be linked to any kind of prime mover, accepting diesel or gas turbine with mechanical or electrical drive • Flexible with respect to vessel application, enhanced by availability in CP and FP versions Within the hull of the vessel is the upper gear housing, steering gear and auxiliaries, and these are from the standardised Kongsberg Maritime azimuth thruster range to maximise commonality of spare parts and minimise technical risk. The flow of water to a pullingpropeller is only determined by the hull, and it is possible to obtain a more homogeneousinflow to the propeller in this type of thruster. More uniform inflow is decisive for reducingunsteady cavitation, and thereby cutting down propeller inducednoise and vibration and reducingoscillations in shaft torque. The mechanical elements areenclosed in a hydrodynamicallyoptimised leg with a wide chordto provide rudder effect andimprove the vessel´s coursestability. The leg incorporatesa skeg extending below the gearhousing. The streamlined leg and skegrecover swirl energy from theslipstream of the pullingpropeller, raising the overallpropulsive efficiency becausethis otherwise wasted energy isconverted to a forward force onthe thruster leg.TECHNICAL DATA AZP 85CATAMARAN AZP 85STANDARD AZP 100STANDARD AZP 120STANDARD AZP 150STANDARD Prop diameter (mm)1900-2 3001900-2 3002300-2 8002800-3 3003300-4200Power (max cont. rating)17001700250035005000Nominal input speed (RPM)720-1 800720-1 800720-1 800720-1 200600-1000Dry weight (kg)1400020000260004400085000Switchboard: +47 815 73 700Global support 24/7: +47 33 03 24 07E-mailsales:*********************.comE-mailsupport:************************Kongsberg Maritime P.O.Box 483, NO-3601Kongsberg, Norway 06.Azimuth-2 of 2-11.06.19Power is (max cont. rating) if depending on final propeller speed. All models of Azipull can be supplied with CP or FP propeller (FP propeller can be supplied as monoblock or built on blades). All data is subject to change without prior notice.。

Agri-Food Sector Profile[1] - Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaJune 2013Produced by the Canadian Trade Com m issioner Service 1. Sector OverviewAgricultural growth in Saudi Arabia is lim ited by scarce water resources. Recent developm ent plans have sought to grow crops that need less water. In value term s, Saudi Arabia is the world's19th largest agri-food im porter. On average 80% of Saudi Arabia's food needs are im ported. Saudi Arabia's agri-food im ports average $12 billion/annually. The top four products account for 40% of total im ports. Lim ited agricultural production will lead to continuing and increasing im ports in the future. The agriculture sector represents only 6% of Saudi Arabia's GDP. Top Saudi agri-food im ports include barley, sheep, rice, chicken and wheat. Top suppliers are Brazil, India, Ukraine Australia and Canada. In 2012 Canada's share of the Kingdom's im ports of agri-food products am ounted to over $260 m illion, Grains and cereals, m ainly wheat, valued at over $195 m illion, accounted for them ajority of Canadian agri-food exports to Saudi Arabia. Other exports include processed food, frozen vegetables (m ainly fries), cheeses, honey, pasta, oil seeds, boneless beef, pulses and ice-cream. 2. Market and Sector Challenges & OpportunitiesBusiness opportunities in the agri-food sector in Saudi Arabia are being driven by GDP growth, retail & HRI expansion, high per capita incom e and a m ove towards Western lifestyle. A significant num ber of Saudis continue to purchase a large percentage of their food at wholesale m arkets, but they are increasingly shopping at superm arkets. Superm arket shopping is considered a prim ary form of entertainm ent for the Saudi fam ily. Hyperm arkets have large play areas for children and are surrounded by several shops and fast food restaurants. Another trend is the increased dem and for prepared and packaged food. Changing and busy lifestyles such as the participation of wom en in the workforce as well as aggressive m arketing cam paigns fromfood com panies have created a dem and in this segm ent. With about 70% of Saudis in their teens, and their preference for Western style foods over their parents' generation, international fast food chains such as KFC, Burger King, McDonald's, Fuddruckers, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Dom inos – Canadian chains such as Tim Horton's, Big Sm oke Burger, Second Cup and Booster Juice -- and local chains such as Herfy, Al-Baik, Tazaj, Dajen and Kudu are expanding and are found in m ajor urban areas. International fast food chains and select local outlets such as Herfy and Kudu im port a significant share of their ingredients and rely on institutional size food products.Another dem and driver for institutional-size food products is the increasing num ber of foreign pilgrim s (m ore than five m illion annually) visiting the two holy cities of Mecca and Madina. There has alsobeen a significant increase in the num ber of resorts, m any being built on the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf, catering to Saudis and expatriate residents. The expanded m arket has prom pted m any international com panies such as Kraft/General Foods, Delm onte, Pepsi, Coca-Cola and Danone to set up licensing agreem ents with local m anufacturers. In 2009 the Saudi Governm ent reduced local wheat production by 12% and will continue to do so on a yearly basis to cease production com pletely by 2016. Saudi Arabia consum es around 2.6 m illion tonnes (MT) of wheat annually and estim ates that its consum ption will increase to 3MT by 2016. In an attem pt to com bat threats to local food security, Saudi Arabia is targeting nearby countries for agri-food investm ents. The m ain products targeted for Saudi investm ents are rice, corn, barley, wheat, sugar, m aize and forage as well as poultry, fish and livestock. These investm ents will include buying land to grow the above com m odities as well as investing in infrastructure and m ills to facilitate processing and shipping.Am ong som e of the key indicators of increasing opportunities in Saudi Arabia is the expansion in the HRI segm ent due to opening of several new hotels in m ajor Saudi cities including Novotel, Holiday Inn and Marriott hotels which should generate dem and for increasingly high end food products. Another m ajor driving factor is the increased investm ent by leading industry players such as Carrefour, EMKE-owned Lulu and the local Panda hyperm arket chain.Saudi Arabia is hom e to the largest integrated herd of dairy livestock in the world, and has becom e self-sufficient in the production of eggs, poultry as well as a selection of fruits and vegetables. Dairy farm s require m illions of tonnes of im ported feed annually, m uch of which is subsidised by the Saudi governm ent. There is high potential for feed barley, alfalfa, soybean m eal, canola m eal and other high-protein anim al feed and feed additives. According to BMI reports, m ore than 2.4 m illion tons of livestock forage will be im ported by 2016.Saudi Arabia's food processing industry, which continues to rely on im ported raw m aterials and ingredients, is also expanding and is being supported by attractive financing and subsidies by the governm ent. The m eat processing, dairy and confectionary segm ents are becom ing increasingly interesting to foreign investors. The food processing industry will continue to rely on im ported rawm aterials and ingredients.Appointing a local agent or distributor is the m ost com m on m eans of accessing the m arket. Som e larger superm arkets im port directly from foreign suppliers and consolidators. Regular visits to them arket are advisable as business relations in this region are built on trust and personal relations. The increasingly positive attitude of Saudis towards m ass m edia advertisem ents m eans that advertising is considered a necessity to draw Saudi consum ers. Two-for-one deals are very popular in larger superm arkets. Distributors are also routinely charged slotting fees, with som e superm arkets reportedly charging registration fees for new products. Som e large Saudi im porters are willing to test-m arket new food products under the condition that if it succeeds, the product will be labelled under its own private brand. Private labels are becom ing com m onplace in Saudi Arabia. Som e Saudicom panies have developed private labels which appeal to Saudis and other Arabs using Arab-sounding nam es, even though the m ajority of products are foreign. Others use labels with Western-sounding nam es to appeal to Western expatriates. Saudi consum ers are attentive to quality, nutritional value, price, and packaging. Im porters are constantly searching for new products, and often request support from suppliers for prom otion.Following the detection of BSE cases in Canada, Saudi Arabia im posed a ban on Canadian beef, beef products and live cattle. Following extensive negotiations, access was granted for boneless beeffrom cattle that are under thirty m onths of age (UTM) in February 2009. Further negotiations are underway for expanded access of Canadian beef products. Beef products from USA and Brazil have been banned in the Saudi m arket since April 2012 as BSE cases have been detected in these twom arkets.Import RegulationsPre-packaged food product labels should be in Arabic or include an Arabic language translation of the label. All exported products should be accom panied by a com m ercial invoice, bill of lading and country of origin certificate. Meat and poultry shipm ents m ust be accom panied by a "Halal" slaughter certificate issued by an Islam ic centre in the country of origin. Other requirem ents for m eat and poultry products include a health certificate and a protein-free feed certificate stating that poultry and livestock m eat shipm ents were not fed anim al protein, fats or m anure and were not treated with any growth horm ones. Meat and poultry facilities need to be accredited by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in order to be able to export to the Kingdom. Processed foodstuffs require a health certificate in addition to other docum ents. Grain shipm ents m ust be accom panied by a phytosanitary certificate, grain analysis certificate and a fum igation certificate. In February, 2001 a directive was issued by the Ministry of Com m erce im posing a requirem ent for positive labelling if a product contains genetically m odified vegetable (plant) ingredients. Products containing GMO anim al products are not perm itted to enter the Kingdom. The vast m ajority of food products are subject to a 5% im port duty. Products produced locally in significant quantity carry a 12% to 20% im port duty depending on the self-sufficiency level. Som e foodstuffs are exem pt from tariffs, such as: rice, fresh m eat and feed grains. Im ports of alcoholic beverages, live swine, pork and food ingredients or additives which contain pork products, including pork fat and gelatine, are banned.3. Sub-Sector IdentificationProducts of high potential for Canadian exporters are cereals, anim al feed, bovine genetic products, processed foods and high-end beef and seafood for the HRI.Canadian ContactsCanadian Embassy in Saudi ArabiaDiplom atic Quarter P.O.
