Harry takes out his Invisibility Cloak and Ron and him visit Hagrid, just as Hagrid gets a visit from Dumbledore, Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic, and Lucius Malfoy. The government wants to remove Hagrid and replace Dumbledore with a government appointed headmaster.Dumbledore agrees to step down, but Hagrid is more reluctant. He tells them that if anyone wants to know anything, they should follow the spiders. As they all leave Hagrid's hut, Ron and Harry have a sinking feeling that more attacks will happen with Dumbledore gone.Chapter_15● Well-written sentencesSummer was creeping over the grounds around the castle; sky and lake alike turned periwinkle blue and flowers large as cabbages burst into bloom in the greenhouses. But with no Hagrid visible from the castle windows, striding the grounds with Fang at his heels, the scene didn't look right to Harry; no better, in fact, than the inside of the castle, where things were so horribly wrong.●Main ideaWith Dumbledore gone, the school is terrified. Harry notices some spiders heading into the Forbidden Forest. Later that night they put on the invisibility cloak again to sneak out and go into the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid's dog, Fang. Harry tell Aragog that they are friends of Hagrid, who is in trouble. Aragog explains that everyone thought he was from the Chamber, but that was a monster, not him, because he would not kill in the school out of respect for Hagrid. Harry and Ron sneak back into the castle, and think about what this means -- the monster is so terrible that not even other monsters will speak it's name. Harry comes to a realization about the murdered girl: it is Moaning Myrtle!Chapter_16● Well-written sentencesLockhart, who had so often assured them that all danger had passed, only to be proved wrong right away, was now wholeheartedly convinced that it was hardly worth the trouble to see them safely down the corridors. His hair wasn't as sleek as usual; it seemed he had been up most of the night, patrolling the fourth floor.●Main ideaHermione has a paper in her hand that talks about the Basilisk, the King of Serpents. Hermione has written "pipes" below it, and Harry realizes that the snake was traveling through the pipes, and that his how Harry was hearing the voice. Ginny Weasley has been taken by the heir into the chamber. Harry and Ron run to Lockhart, who is supposed to fight the monster. Lockhart is packing up to leave, and admits that he didn't do anything that was written in his books. They drag him to Moaning Myrtle.Harry finds the passage and opens it using Parceltongue. They find a snakeskin and Lockhart tries to escape, and in doing so blasts the tunnel, separating Harry and Ron. Harry continues on alone.Chapter_17● Well-written sentencesSomething huge hit the stone floor of the Chamber. Harry felt it shudder - he knew what was happening, he could sense it, could almost see the giant serpent uncoiling itself from Slytherin's mouth. Then he heard Riddle's hissing voice: "Kill him."●Main ideaIn the Chamber, Harry finds Ginny, still alive, but unresponsive. Tom Riddle steps out of the darkness and Harry asks for his help. Tom, a memory from the diary, has been corresponding with Ginny through his diary. Tom gained power over Ginny and used her to open the Chamber of Secrets. Riddle tells him "I am Lord V oldemort." Fawkes, the phoenix, flies in and drops the sorting hat. Riddle calls the Basilisk, and the phoenix pokes out the snake's eyes. Harry fights but is bitten by the poisonous snake right before he kills it. Harry plunges the Basilisk fang into Riddle's diary, and Riddle disappears. Ginny wakes up, and they leave the chamber, finding Ron and a confused Lockhart outside. Fawkes flies them through the pipe back to Myrtle's bathroom, and they run to McGonagall's office.Chapter_18● Well-written sentencesThere was a loud bang, and Mr. Malfoy was thrown backward. He crashed down the stairs, three at a time, landing in a crumpled heap on the landing below. He got up, his face livid, and pulled out his wand, but Dobby raised a long, threatening finger.●Main ideaIn the office, Harry tells the Weasleys, McGonagall, and Dumbledore everything that happened. Ginny is sent to the hospital wing, where the petrified patients are being dosed with mandrake juice and are waking up. Harry and Ron are given "Special Awards for Services to the School" and a feast is to be held to celebrate. Then Lucius Malfoy walks in, with Dobby behind him. Lucius is angry that Dumbledore is back, and Harry realizes that Lucius gave the diary to Ginny in Flourish and Botts. He denies it. Hogwarts celebrates, and the students head home for the summer.The whole book●Draw the relationship between the main characters.● Brief summary of the plot:This year at Hogwarts, spiders talk, letters scold and harry's own unsettling ability to speak to snakes turns his friends against him. From dueling clubs to rogue Bludgers, it's a year of adventure and danger when bloody writing on a wall announces: 'The Chamber of Secrets has been opened". To save Hogwarts will require all of Harry, Ron and Hermione's magical abilities and courage. Tom Riddle comes to life, and he's the 16 year old V oldemort. Ginny opened the Chamber of Secrets though not of her free will as she was being possessed by Riddle (V oldemort.) Harry destroys the memory of Riddle by stabbing the basilisk tooth through the diary. Lockhart is a really a fraud and he loses his memory and ends up in St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Dobby belongs to Lucius Malfoy, and Harry tricks Lucius into setting Dobby free.● Book review:Professor Dumbledore presents the all-important message of the Harry Potter series: "it is our choices ...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities". Starting in this novel, I being to realize that though Harry and V oldemort have a lot of in common, it is their choices that define them and make them truly different.Choice is vital to determining a person's character.Yet, while we admire this theme, we also realize that there are lots of limitations on people's choices that they can't control. For example, Harry can't choose not to face V oldemort because V oldemort won't let him. Even when Harry isn't looking for V oldemort at Hogwarts, he still encounters him by chance thanks to a cursed diary in Ginny Weasley's hands. So the question of choice versus fate is a bit more ambiguous than Professor Dumbledore's idealistic statement might make it seem.。

哈利波特与密室每章梗概
第一章：哈利回到女贞路。
他生日那天，梅森夫妇——弗农姨夫的大客户做客他们家，他们有机会谈成一笔最大的交易。
哈利按要求躲在楼上装作不存在。
第二章：一个叫多比的家养小精灵来到了他的房间，警告他今年霍格沃茨将有危险的事情发生，哈利绝对不能回霍格沃茨。
多比用魔法把客厅里搅得一团糟，弗农姨夫的交易泡汤了。
他被关了起来，德思礼一家决定不让他回魔法世界。
第三章：哈利的好友罗恩·韦斯莱与他的双胞胎哥哥偷偷开着会飞的汽车来哈利家，救走了他。
他们本来想悄悄回韦斯莱家，却被韦斯莱夫人发现了。
他很生气，罚他们干活（除了哈利）。
第四章：韦斯莱一家非常喜欢哈利，对他特别好。
哈利发现巫师家里很神奇：所有的东西都有魔法。
开学前他们一起用飞路粉去对角巷买下学期的东西，在丽痕书店他们见到了吉德罗·洛哈特，他写了很多着名的书，同时即将成为霍格沃茨新一任黑魔法防御术教师。
他们还在书店里遇到了德拉科·马尔福和他爸爸，韦斯莱先生和马尔福先生打了一架。
第五章：结束了假期，他们来到了国王十字车站准备坐火车去学校。
但是，哈利和罗恩发现他俩过不去那道被施了魔法的隔墙。
情急之下，他们只得开着韦斯莱先生的汽车，让它飞了起来，去追赶校车。
好不容易到了霍格沃茨，却撞在了打人柳上。
打人柳打坏了罗恩的魔杖。
汽车自己开走了。
他们被麻瓜看见了，老师们非常生气。
格兰芬多学院院长麦格教授将对他们进行严厉的惩罚。
幸运的是，他们并没有被开除。
第六章：开学了。
罗恩收到吼叫信，韦斯莱夫人狠狠地批评他。
吉德罗·洛哈特在哈利草药课前拦住他，告诉哈利，哈利开着会飞的汽车是想出风头，这点他可以理解，尽管哈利一直辩解。
他们在草药课上培养曼德拉草，同时哈利认识了一位麻瓜出身的赫奇帕奇同学——贾斯廷·芬列里。
黑魔法防御术上，洛哈特让他们对付一群精灵，自己却跑了，罗恩怀疑那些书到底是不是他写出来的。
第七章：哈利和格兰芬多对的队员们去魁地奇球场训练，却被斯莱特林的人霸占，德拉科·马尔福在他爸爸送给队里7把光轮2001（超高级的飞天扫帚）后加入斯莱特林队。
在他们的争吵中马尔福骂赫敏“泥巴种”（对麻瓜出身的人的侮辱性称呼），罗恩想发出的咒语反弹，达到了自己身上。
他们因为开学的事被关禁闭，罗恩帮费尔奇奖杯，哈利要帮洛哈特给崇拜者回信。
在洛哈特的办公室里，他听到了一个令人毛骨悚然的可怕声音，洛哈特却没有听见。
第八章：哈利参加魁地奇训练后弄了一地板泥浆，被费尔奇叫走。
在他的办公室里哈利偶然看见一封信，得知费尔奇是不会魔法的哑炮。
哈利罗恩赫敏去参加尼克的忌辰晚会，回去的路上哈利又听见了那个声音。
接着，他们发现洛丽丝夫人被石化了，墙上有一行用鲜血写成的字：密室被打开了。
与继承者为敌者，警惕。
第九章：同学们老师们发现了他们，哈利解释说不是他们，斯内普硬说他说谎，不过其他老师不这么想。
在魔法史课上，宾斯教授告诉了他们有关密室的秘密。
传说斯莱特林在城堡里建了一个密室，里面关着一个怪物，只有他的继承人才能打开密室放出怪物，怪物会清除所有不配学习魔法的人。
迄今为止却没有任何人发现密室。
他们怀疑马尔福打开了密室。
他们想找密室，却进入了女厕所，碰见了里面的女鬼桃金娘。
