“书籍是人类进步的阶梯。”从小我就喜欢阅读课外书，我
的书柜里摆着许多书籍。我最喜欢的一个故事就是《爱的教育》
其中的一篇文章——《小抄写员》。
这篇短文主要讲述了一个十二岁的男孩帮助父亲抄写签条，
却又隐瞒着父亲的亲情故事。文中的小主人公叙利亚，每天晚上
等父亲睡觉了以后，就悄悄下床穿好衣服，轻轻走进父亲写字的
房间，把煤油灯点着，仿照父亲的笔迹抄写杂志订户的名册。可
是叙利亚因为睡眠不足，早上起来特别疲倦，每次晚上复习功课
的时候都会打盹儿。而且情形越来越不好，不是趴在桌子上睡着
了，就是早上起得很迟。复习功课的时候，总是带着疲倦的样子，
就好像对功课厌倦了似的。父亲看到他这种情形，屡次提醒，最
后甚至动怒了。叙利亚的心里很难受，心想，不能继续写下去了，
非停止不可。可是这一天晚饭时，父亲非常高兴地说：“这个月
比上个月多挣了六元四角钱呢！”叙利亚也重新振作起来，暗暗
决定继续写下去。可是父亲却严厉地批评了他，他真想把一切都
说出来，可是话到了嘴边又咽了下去。又过了几个月，一天晚上，
叙利亚抄写时，不小心把一本书碰落在地上。他听见没什么声响，
就继续抄写。过了一会儿，叙利亚却忽然发现父亲早已经站在了
身后，他大叫着说：“爸爸！原谅我！原谅我！”父亲忍住眼泪，
吻着儿子的脸，说：“倒是要你原谅我！明白了，一切都明白了！
我真对不起你，快来！”父亲抱起了儿子，放到了床上，让他去
睡觉。叙利亚疲劳到极点了，几个月来，到今天他才好好地睡了
一觉。
看完这篇文章，我明白了一个道理：“苦难也是人生宝贵的
财富。”我的心里有种难以形容的感受，文中的叙利亚为了维持
全家的生活，他四个月来竟然没有睡过一整夜觉。他忍受着父亲
严厉的责骂，心里就像刀割一样，但是却仍然没有把事实说出来。
叙利亚，你虽然生活在一个清苦的家庭里，但你是那样关心
