Topic 8: What roles do pets play in people’s life? How to treat pets properly? A: With the development of the society, more and more people raise pets. Do you like pets?
B: Yeah I love pets very much. Such as cat, dog, sheep and so on.
C: I am different from you. I just love dogs. I don't know why.
B: You don't like pets, you are cold-blooded.
C: en……I just think they can't understand what I said and it is hard to teach them. I have a hot heart.
A: OK. Different people have different opinion. How about you?
B: I love pets too. They are very cute .and I have a dog .it is very smart and lovable
C: Smart? How to say?
D: Yes, remembered once, I forgot to close the door of the sitting room .then I was play games with my friends in my room, a thief walked into my house and went to my parents’ room .For the moment, my dog bit the thief's feet .Then we hurried out when we heard a noise. Finally nothing had been stolen.
B: So cool, I want to have a pet, but pets are often expensive and to feed them would even cost more time.
C: You are right .and some dangerous pets are a menace to their owner, even a dog would attack people .Sometimes things could be worse of they carrying some fatal virus and so on
A: you are right, but nowadays, people have been paid m ore attention to pet’s health and maintenance, and there are many pets stores opened for business.
B: In my opinion, pets are very important .they can bring people much happiness and comfort, for some people pets stay with them make them no longer lonely, sometimes pets can even save people's lives
D: Animal are our human’s friends, we should regard the pets as our family members. keeping pets is very useful for our life .it can bring us a lovely and colorful world.
C: I think I would like pets because of what you said. I want to raise a pet so that it can accompany me. I don't like to be alone.
A: But now there are still many people making use of animals to make money. They let pets to perform in public .throughout history, Human have relied on animals' trait to get certain job. For example, compared with human, dogs are "far superior at tracking down odors, "says Marian Bailey, an animal behaviorist at Henderson State University .that's because dogs have million of olfactory reports, or smell nerves, in their noses
C: Animal not only makes good pets, they sometimes become perfect workers—if they have the right traits and training.。
