5、听:听懂有关物品形状的对话。

2.Learn to use the structure: How many ...are there? There are...to talk about the shapes.
B. Ability aims:
1.Through many kinds of games, train students’ability of listening, speaking and reading.
2.Through DIY activities, to cultivate the students' ability to use language and hands-on ability.
C. Emotion aims:
Through experience, participation, improve students' ability to discover beauty and create beauty.
Teaching importance:
1.New words: star, square, triangle, rectangle, circle.
2.Structure: How many ...are there? There are... Teaching difficulty:
1. Words: triangle & rectangle
2. Use the structure to introduce their DIY works. Teaching aids:
PPT, shape cards, sandbag, DIY materials
Teaching procedure:
Step1. Warm-up
1.Sing a song
<Twinkle, twinkle, little star>
Ask Ss to follow the actions, and try to sing along.
2.Lead-in
T: Do you like this song? Do you like stars? At night, we can see many stars in the sky. It’s also a kind of shape, so today let’s learn some more shapes.
Step2. Presentation
1.New words
a.Learn the word: star
Show the shape of “star”, ask Ss to read it. Use the question: What’s this?/What shape is it? to ask students.
b.Learn the word: square
The same procedure for it. Use boys/girls to practice.
c.Learn the word: triangle
Show the shape to teach it. Use the sandbag to practice this word. Throw the sandbag, who catches it will say the word.
d.Learn the word: rectangle
Use the “Hide and seek” game to practice it. Choose one pupil to stand in the front, close his/her eyes, then hide the shape card, ask other students to help him/her find the card through their voice.
e.Learn the word: circle
Practice the word in groups.
2.Play a game: What’s missing?
Show four shapes, ask Ss to find which one is missing.
3.Structure
T:We’ve learned five shapes, they can make many beautiful pictures, let’s enjoy one of it.
Show a picture to learn the structure: How many...are there? There are...
4.Lisen and say
T: Let’s have a look at Miss Fang’s picture.
a.Play the cartoon, ask Ss to listen to the text at the first time.
b.Play it again, ask Ss to read along at a low voice.
c.At the third time, ask Ss to read it loudly.
Step3. DIY Time
1.Ask Ss to make a new picture with the five shapes in groups. The time is for 3 minutes.
2.In each group, they should choose one spokesperson to introduce their works.
3.Show time.
Step4. Conclusion
T: At last, let’s enjoy some famous places: This is the Pyramid in Egypt. It looks like a (triangle). This is the Water Cube in Beijing. It looks like a (rectangle/square).There are many shapes in our life. Let’s find more, create more! Board design:
