以积极的态度面对挫折英语作文120词

以积极的态度面对挫折英语作文120词全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Facing Setbacks with a SmileHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 4th grader. I love playing soccer, reading comic books, and hanging out with my best friend Samantha. Like any kid, I've had my fair share of setbacks and disappointments in life. But you know what? I've learned that the best way to deal with them is by keeping a positive attitude. Let me tell you all about it!Last year, I tried out for the school soccer team. I had been practicing really hard - dribbling the ball around cones in my backyard, doing drills, you name it. I was super excited and confident that I would make the team. But when the list went up on the bulletin board, my name wasn't on it. I felt crushed! Soccer was my favorite sport and I had my heart set on playing. At first, I got really upset. I came home from school, stormed up to my room, and cried into my pillow. My mom came up to check on me and I yelled "It's not fair! I practiced so hard and I'm good at soccer! Why didn't I make the team?" She gave me a bighug and said something that stuck with me. She said "Jamie, setbacks are just opportunities to grow and get stronger. The road isn't always easy, but a positive attitude can help you overcome anything."Her words really resonated with me. I realized that feeling sorry for myself wasn't going to do any good. So I wiped away my tears, took a deep breath, and decided to make the best of the situation. Instead of moping around, I asked the coach what I could work on to try again next year. He gave me some great feedback about improving my endurance. For the rest of the year, I woke up early to go for runs around the neighborhood. I added some core exercises to build my strength. And you know what? When tryouts came around again, I made the team! My positive attitude and perseverance had paid off. That experience taught me such a valuable lesson about facing setbacks head-on with optimism and determination. Because let me tell you, there have been plenty of other disappointments along the way too:Like the time I spent weeks working on a big diorama project about the rainforest for school, only to accidentally drop it and have it shatter into a million pieces the day before it was due.Instead of having a meltdown, I taped it back together as best as I could, explained what happened to my teacher, and she gave me a bit of extra time to tidy it up. My positive attitude allowed me to find a solution rather than just giving up.Or when I was studying so hard to get a role in the school play as the lead character, but didn't get cast. Rather than feeling bitter, I congratulated my friend who got the part because she worked really hard too. I decided to be a supportive ensemble member and had a blast being part of the show in a different way.Anytime I strike out in baseball, miss a test question I thought I had right, or things don't go my way, I always try to stay positive and not get too discouraged. I know that with hard work, optimism, and putting forth my best effort, things will eventually work out. Maybe not exactly how I pictured them, but often even better! My dad always tells me "Jamie, life is full of ups and downs. Failures and setbacks are inevitable for everyone. But it's how you respond that really matters. If you let every challenge make you negative and wanting to give up, you'll miss out on so many amazing opportunities. Embrace the journey, be resilient, and setbacks can make you stronger."I couldn't agree more! I know I'm still just a kid with my whole life ahead of me. There are going to be SO many more setbacks and failures waiting for me along the way as I get older. Maybe I won't get into my dream college, or my dream job. Maybe I'll work really hard on a big project only for it to flop. Maybe I'll go through difficult times like losing a loved one or struggle with other hardships. No matter what curveballs life throws me, I've learned that as long as I have a positive mindset, keep trying my best, and篇2Facing Setbacks with a SmileHave you ever felt really sad or angry when things didn't go your way? Maybe you didn't get picked for the school play or failed a math test. Those kinds of setbacks can feel just awful in the moment. But you know what? The way we respond to disappointments and failures is so important.I try my best to stay positive when I face setbacks because dwelling on the negative only makes me feel worse. It's like getting stuck in a mud puddle - the more you struggle, the deeper you sink! Instead, I take a deep breath and remind myself that setbacks happen to everyone. Even famous people likeathletes, actors, and scientists have faced many failures before reaching their big successes. One of my biggest setbacks happened last year when I didn't make the school soccer team. I had practiced so hard and really wanted to be on the team with my friends. When I didn't get picked, I felt crushed. My dad could see how upset I was, so he gave me a big hug and said "This just wasn't meant to be this time. But don't give up on your dreams!"Those words really stuck with me. I realized that not making the team wasn't the end of the world. It was just a temporary setback. So instead of feeling sorry for myself, I decided to stay positive. I joined a community soccer league and kept practicing my skills. I made some new friends and had a lot of fun that season. When tryouts for the school team came around again this year, I went into it with a much better attitude. I didn't make the team again, but I wasn't as disappointed. I know I gave it my best effort and will keep trying. Staying positive has helped me bounce back from that setback much more quickly.Sometimes parents, teachers or friends might not understand why we feel so upset over something that seems small to them. But our feelings are valid, no matter how big orlittle the issue might seem. It's okay to feel sad, frustrated or angry when we face setbacks - those are natural emotions. The important thing is not getting stuck in negativity.Whenever I start feeling negative about a setback, I stop and think: "Is feeling this way helping me or hurting me? What can I learn from this experience?" I also remind myself of my strengths and past successes, no matter how small. Focusing on the positives helps me regain perspective.I'm not saying it's easy to stay positive when we face setbacks and failures. It's really hard! But with practice, positivity becomes a habit. And maintaining an optimistic outlook is so worth it because it helps us bounce back faster. It keeps our motivation strong to try again. Most importantly, it makes us happier and builds resilience for facing future challenges. So the next time you face a setback like failing a test, striking out in baseball, or forgetting your lines in the school play, don't beat yourself up. Show that setback who's boss by refusing to let it keep you down! Stay positive, learn from the experience, and get ready to crush your next attempt. You've totally got this!篇3Dealing with Disappointments: A Kid's Guide to Being PositiveYou know that feeling when you work really, really hard on something, but it doesn't turn out how you hoped? Maybe you practiced playing your violin piece over and over, but you still messed up during the recital. Or you studied like crazy for that big test, but you didn't get the grade you wanted. It's so disappointing, isn't it? Your heart sinks, you feel like crying, and you might even want to give up entirely. But you shouldn't let setbacks get you down! The path to success is hardly ever a straight line. There are always going to be roadblocks and detours along the way. The key is learning how to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep on trying with a positive mindset. Here are some tips that have helped me deal with disappointments:Don't Be So Hard on YourselfWhen things don't go your way, it's easy to be really tough on yourself. You might call yourself "stupid" or "a failure" or think you're just not good enough. But being mean to yourself like that doesn't help at all! In fact, it usually makes you feel even worse. Instead, talk to yourself like you would talk to a friend. Would you call your best buddy dumb just because they messedup? No way! You'd give them a big hug and remind them that everyone makes mistakes sometimes. Treat yourself with that same kindness.Look for the LessonEvery setback is an opportunity to learn something, if you keep an open mind. Maybe your violin piece didn't go perfectly because you need to practice that crazy-hard section more slowly. Or maybe the reason you bombed that test is because you need to try some new study strategies. Get curious about what went wrong and what you could try differently next time. That growth mindset will make you smarter, stronger, and better prepared for future challenges.Celebrate What You Did RightWhen I struck out during my Little League baseball game, my dad gave me a high-five and said "Great eye on those pitches!" He was right – even though I didn't get a hit, I was doing a great job watching the ball and not swinging at junk. It's so important to notice and feel proud about what you ARE doing well, instead of just focusing on the negative. That keeps you feeling motivated to keep working hard.Ask for HelpSometimes setbacks happen because we're trying to do everything all on our own. But that's silly – we all need assistance sometimes! If you're having trouble in math class, ask your teacher for extra help during recess. If ballet is becoming a struggle, maybe it's time to get a private instructor to work with you one-on-one. The smartest people aren't afraid to get guidance from others. It's okay not to be able to do everything alone!Look How Far You've ComeWhen you're feeling down about a setback, it's easy to forget about your past accomplishments. If you strike out in your baseball game, you might think "I'm such a terrible player!" But then you remember how, just a year ago, you could barely make contact with the ball – and now here you are, playing real games! Looking back at your progress is great for reminding yourself how much you've already achieved. It shows that you're improving, even if there are still roadbumps along the way.Setbacks can be so frustrating and discouraging, especially for kids. But learning to respond to them in a positive, resilient way is such an important life skill. If you keep believing in yourself, looking for ways to grow, and celebrating how faryou've already come, you'll be able to overcome anydisappointment. Just keep that sunny outlook, and amazing things await you down the road! Mistakes and failures are just temporary detours, not the end of your journey. With hope and hard work, you can achieve anything you dream of.篇4Everyone Goes Through Hard TimesLife isn't always easy. Sometimes things don't go our way and we feel really sad or frustrated. Maybe we didn't make the sports team we tried out for or failed a big test at school. Or perhaps a good friend moved away. When these kinds of disappointing or upsetting situations happen, it can feel like the end of the world. The hurt and disappointment we feel can be really strong. But here's the thing - everyone experiences setbacks and failures sometimes, even adults! It's just a normal part of life that nobody can avoid completely. The key is how we choose to respond when hard times hit. Getting stuck in negativity or giving up won't help. The best thing we can do is face the situation with a positive mindset.I know that's easier said than done when you're really feeling down. Negative thoughts can snowball and make everythingseem hopeless. "I'll never make the team..." "I'm just bad at this subject..." "My life is ruined now that my friend is gone..." It's okay to feel disappointed for a little while, but dwelling on those sad thoughts won't fix anything. At some point, you have to shake it off and adjust your attitude.Think about someone you really admire, maybe a successful athlete, scientist, or historical figure. I'll bet if you researched their life story, you'd find they failed many times before achieving their dreams. The happiest and most accomplished people are the ones who refused to give up when things got hard. They picked themselves up, learned from their mistakes, and tried again with a positive outlook.Having a positive mindset doesn't mean forcing myself to be happy when I'm sad. It means looking at setbacks as opportunities instead of the end of the road. Maybe I didn't make the team this year, but I can work extra hard, get some private coaching, and try again next season with more experience under my belt. If I failed that math test, at least now I know what areas I need more practice in so I can improve. Lost friends happen, but it opens the door to make new friends, too. With positivity, I'm in control of how I view my circumstances instead of feeling like a helpless victim. I ask myself, "Okay, thisstinks, but what can I learn from it? How can I turn this into something positive?" Sometimes the solution isn't obvious right away, and that's okay. I'll feel better with time as long as I'm looking ahead instead of backwards.Dealing with setbacks and failures is never fun, but it's a chance to grow stronger, braver, and more resilient. A positive attitude turns mistakes and disappointments into life lessons. Having an optimistic outlook lets me take control and work towards becoming the best version of myself. So whenever I'm facing tough times, I'll do my best to look on the bright side. With positivity and perseverance, I can overcome anything!篇5Facing Setbacks With a SmileLife can be really tough sometimes, even for a kid like me. Just the other day, I failed my math test and got in trouble for talking too much in class. I felt so frustrated and embarrassed. My face turned as red as a tomato and I wanted to cry. But my mom always tells me that having a positive attitude is the key to getting through hard times. So instead of feeling sorry for myself, I decided to look on the bright side.I realized that getting a bad grade doesn't make me a bad person. It just means I need to study harder next time. And getting in trouble for talking just means I need to work on listening better. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, even grown-ups! The important thing is to learn from them and keep trying your best.I think having a positive mindset is really important, especially when you're facing setbacks or disappointments. It's easy to get mad or upset when things don't go your way. But getting all worked up and throwing a fit never helps anything. It just makes you feel worse! Instead, you have to take a deep breath and look for the positive side of the situation.Like when I didn't make the soccer team this year, I was really bummed out at first. I had been practicing so hard and really wanted to be on the team with my friends. But after my initial disappointment passed, I realized that now I'd have more free time to join the art club, which I've always wanted to do. Every setback or failure is a chance for a new opportunity!Or when my grandma got really sick last year, it was a very sad and scary time for my family. But her illness reminded us all about how precious life is and how important it is to cherish the people we love. We made sure to spend lots of quality time withher and make her feel special every day. Her positive spirit during her tough battle with cancer inspired all of us to have more gratitude and not take anything for granted.I've learned that having an upbeat, positive attitude can make any situation so much better. When you look for the silver lining and focus on the bright side, you'll start to feel happier and more hopeful. But it's not always easy. Sometimes you really have to force yourself to look at things differently and find the good.Like when my best friend moved across the country last month, I was devastated. We had been best buds since preschool and did everything together. How could I possibly have fun without her by my side? For a while, I felt angry, sad, and sorry for myself. But eventually I realized that feeling miserable wouldn't change anything. I needed to accept the situation and move forward in a positive way.So instead of dwelling on how much I'd miss her, I started thinking of all the fun new adventures I'd get to have when she came to visit over summer break. And the old tree fort in her backyard we always played in could now be our super cool secret clubhouse for when she was in town! Staying positive, andmaking the best out of a tough situation, helped ease the sadness of losing my best friend.Whenever I'm facing a setback or struggle in life, I remember the words of my favorite book character, Pollyanna. No matter how difficult things got, Pollyanna could always find something to be glad about. When you have a positive mindset like hers, it's easier to get through challenges without feeling overwhelmed or weighed down.So the next time something doesn't go my way, I'll take a deep breath, look for the positive side, and face it with a smile. Having an optimistic outlook simply makes life happier and more enjoyable. Why waste time and energy feeling negative when you could choose to be positive instead? I still have my whole life ahead of me, and I plan to live it with joy, confidence and gratitude! With a positive attitude on my side, I know I can overcome any obstacle or setback that comes my way.篇6Failing at something is just a tiny bump in the road of life. It doesn't mean you're a failure or that you'll never succeed. Every famous inventor, athlete, artist or leader has faced many failures along their journey. If they gave up after their first setback, wewouldn't have amazing things like the light bulb, the Olympic Games, the Mona Lisa or democracy!I try to think of failures as opportunities to learn and grow. Like when I struggled to learn my multiplication tables - I didn't get discouraged, I just practiced over and over until they clicked. Or when I struck out at my first few baseball games - instead of feeling sorry for myself, I took some extra batting practice and soon started getting hits. Mistakes show me what I need to work。

在成长道路上遇到的挫折英语作文
在成长道路上遇到的挫折英语作文The Road of Growth: Facing Challenges Head OnLife is full of ups and downs, twists and turns. As a young student, I've already learned that the road to growth and achieving your dreams is not a straight, smooth path. There will be obstacles and challenges along the way that can make you feel frustrated, discouraged, and even want to give up sometimes. But I've also learned that facing these challenges head on, and not running away from them, is the only way to keep moving forward. One of the biggest challenges I've had to deal with so far is struggling in math class. I've always been a good student who works hard, but for some reason, math just doesn't click for me like other subjects do. No matter how much I study or how hard I try, I still find myself getting confused and making silly mistakes on tests. It's really frustrating because I put in so much effort, but I don't see the results I want.At first, I let this challenge get me down. I started doubting myself and my abilities. I wondered if I just wasn't smart enough to be good at math. My confidence took a big hit and I didn't want to raise my hand in class anymore because I was afraid ofgetting another problem wrong in front of everyone. I could feel myself wanting to give up and just accept that math wasn't my strong suit. But thankfully, I have a great support system with my parents, teachers, and friends who wouldn't let me stay stuck in that mindset. My mom explained to me that everyone faces challenges and has things they struggle with, but giving up is never the answer. She reminded me of all the other areas I excel in to help rebuild my confidence. My teacher offered to give me extra one-on-one coaching during lunch periods to go over concepts I was having a hard time understanding. And my friends cheered me on, believing in me even when I doubted myself. With their support and encouragement, I decided I wasn't going to let this math challenge be my downfall. I pushed myself to work even harder, going to every extra help session, doing practice problems over and over until I got them right, and fundamentally changing my mindset. Instead of feeling stupid when I got an answer wrong, I tried to approach it as an opportunity to learn where my thinking went off track so I wouldn't make the same mistake again. Little by little, math started making more sense to me.I'm still not an A+ math student yet, but I've come so far from where I started. More importantly, overcoming this big challenge has made me stronger, more resilient, and more confident in my ability to face other challenges that will inevitably come up in my life. I know now that nothing worth achieving comes easy, and solutions aren't always obvious right away. But if I continue putting in my best effort, asking for help when I need it, and refusing to give up, there's no challenge too big for me to overcome.Another major challenge I've faced is dealing with feelings of doubt, insecurity, and being different from my peers. As a young kid, you just want to fit in and feel accepted by your friends. But the truth is, we all have things that make us unique and stand out, whether we want to or not. For me, it was being ahead of most kids my age in reading and having a bigger vocabulary. Reading was my biggest passion and escape since I was little, so it was something I had cultivated and focused a lot of time on.But when I was around my peers, I often felt self-conscious about raising my hand to answer questions or using bigger words in my writing because I was afraid of sounding like a know-it-all or teacher's pet. I didn't want kids to think I was weird or annoying. So I started holding back and trying to "dumbmyself down" to fit in better. This turned out to be an even bigger challenge for me than the academic struggles. It caused me to lose my joy for learning and discovery. It drained my confidence and energy. And ultimately, it was inauthentic -- I was changing who I was just to seek validation from others. That's no way for anyone to live, especially not a young kid who should feel free to express themselves without judgment.Again, my strong support system of adults who cared about me helped me push past this hurdle. They constantly reminded me of how special and gifted I was, and that I should never dull my light to make others feel more comfortable. They encouraged me to embrace the qualities that made me unique, to take pride in my intelligence and love for reading and learning. Slowly, their words helped rebuild my self-worth and I regained the confidence to unapologetically be myself around my peers.Sure, there were still kids who made fun of me for being a "nerd" or raising my hand too much. But with my new mindset, their words stung a little less and held less power over me. I realized that anyone who is intimidated or threatened by my passion and knowledge isn't someone whose opinion shouldmatter much to me in the first place. Real friends will love and support you for who you are.Though the journey of overcoming self-doubt and peer pressures is still an ongoing one, I feel like I've made amazing strides already at such a young age. This challenge has instilled in me self-love, confidence, and a determination to always follow my own path rather than conforming to what others think I "should" be. Not everyone will understand or appreciate you, but as long as you understand and appreciate yourself, that's what matters most.I know that as I get older and move on to bigger endeavors in middle school, high school, college, and eventually my career, the challenges will only continue to grow bigger and more complicated. But now I have a foundation and mindset built on overcoming adversity, not giving up, and believing in myself. No matter what curveballs life throws my way, I'm ready to keep pushing forward on my road of growth. I may stumble and struggle, but I'll always pick myself back up and remain steadfast andpersistent in going after my goals and dreams.Facing challenges is never easy, but it's also one of the most important parts of growing as a person. Looking back at the obstacles I've already conquered, as major or minor as they mayseem, I can recognize how they've shaped me into a stronger, wiser, and more self-assured young person. And at the end of the day, that's the greatest reward of all -- knowing that you have what it takes to rise above any hurdle that tries to block your path. The road ahead is long and unknown, but it's one I'm prepared to soar down victoriously!。
英文作文走出挫折初中
英文作文走出挫折初中英文:Facing setbacks is an inevitable part of life, especially during our teenage years. However, it is important to learn how to overcome these obstacles and emerge stronger from them. In my personal experience, I have encountered various setbacks, from failing a test to not getting accepted into a club I wanted to join. But through these experiences, I have learned valuable lessons that have helped me grow as a person. One of the most important things I have learned is to not give up. It can be easy to feel discouraged and want to quit when things don't go as planned, but it is important to keep pushing forward and trying again. For example, when I failed a math test, I didn't give up on the subject altogether. Instead, I sought help from my teacher and worked harder to improve my understanding of the material.Another lesson I have learned is to stay positive. It can be easy to dwell on the negative aspects of a setback, but it is important to focus on the positive aspects and what can be learned from the experience. For example, when I didn't get accepted into the club I wanted to join, I didn't let it bring me down. Instead, I joined a different club and made new friends and experiences.Lastly, it is important to ask for help when needed. It can be difficult to overcome setbacks alone, and it is okay to ask for support from friends, family, or a professional. For example, when I was struggling with my mental health, I reached out to a therapist for help and guidance.Overall, setbacks can be challenging, but they also provide opportunities for growth and learning. By notgiving up, staying positive, and asking for help when needed, we can overcome these obstacles and emerge stronger from them.中文:面对挫折是生活中不可避免的一部分,尤其是在我们的青少年时期。

初中生优秀英语作文:面对挫折
People always say in one life, they can’t be sailing plainly, it means people will meet all kinds of difficulties and they are easy to feel frustrated, the one who gets over frustration, the one who becomes successful. When we meet difficulties, we must learn to face it in the optimistic way, so we can see the hope and have the faith to move on. The difficult moment is just the small interlude of our lives. As the saying that failure is the mother of success, so we need to learn lessons from failure and then when the time comes, we will get successful. Facing frustration is unavoidable, if we can handle it well, we will win.
