2.内容

We got over 1000 letters, faxes, and emails from our readers about their New Year’s resolutions. Many readers are going to work harder in school this year. Lots of readers are going to play sports. Some readers said they are going to eat more vegetables. A few readers said they are going to learn a new language. Some girls said they are going to exercise more to keep fit.

口语教学

1. Teaching aims

1) Knowledge aim

Students will be able to master the new words, modal verbs, phrases and sentences.

Students can train their listening skills by listening to the key words and understand others’ problems and give advice.

Students can realize their own problems and help each other when someone is in need and develop the spirit of cooperation.

Step 1: Lead in

I will present some pictures with a song to help them review the knowledge they learned before.

Step 2: Pre-speaking

1)Brain storm: Students will talk about their New Year’s plan.

2)I will present some difficult words, such as“ faxes, resolutions..”

Step 3: While-speaking

1)Students will listen to the tape to get the main idea.

2)Students will listen again and understand the whole passage sentence by sentence.

3)Students will listen to the tape and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.

4)A reading star: Students will read the whole passage and mark the rules of linking. Then I will invite some volunteers to show.

Step 4: Post-speaking

Students will work in groups to make a survey about their classmates’New Year’s resolutions. And i will invite some volunteers to share. Step 5: Summary and homework

I lead them to summarize what they have learned in this class.
