大家早上好～今天我说课的内容是外研社小学英语六年级下册Module 8 Unit 1“Helen
Keller”。
一、教材分析
1、教材的地位和作用
Helen Keller是小学新标准英语教材第八册第八模块第一单元的内容。
本课是以人物(Helen Keller)介绍为主要内容，目的是通过教材提供的故事情境，用could, couldn’t来谈论过去能够做的或者不能做的事。
同时本课素材也对学生进行了意志、品质的教育。
本单元是延续第七模块有关“杨立伟”的故事之后又一片讲述名人故事的话题，学生可以运用所学语言讲述名人生活、学习以及成名的经历，将语言变得生活化、情境化，从而掌握一般过去时的各种句式。
英语一般现在时在小学六年级英语中出现的频率是比较高的，所以在学生掌握了此种时态后，可以在日常生活中自由的运用更多的句子，同时也是学习更多种时态的基础。
2、教学目标
A)知识目标:
1、能听、会读、会说letter, later, all over, could, couldn't，born;
2、能运用could, couldn't描述一个人的经历;
3、能理解和认读下面三个句子:
Helen Keller became blind and deaf.
She couldn’t see and she couldn’t hear.
Later she could read and write.
She wrote a book about herself.
B)能力目标:
1 通过对本课的学习，学生能够讲述Helen Keller 的故事，并运用课文中的语言点讲述你所知道的名人成才的故事.在学习及操练过程中，锻炼高年级学生的合作能力和参与意识，鼓励他们积极的参与、大胆的表达，培养学生学习英语的良好习惯，提高学习英语的兴趣。
2 通过学习，引导学生运用一般过去时的句子讲述人物故事。
C)情感态度目标:
1 通过学习Helen Keller 的故事，激发学生热爱学习、热爱生活的情感，提高学生刻苦学习、坚持不懈的意识。
在合作学习中，增加学生的课外知识，使他们了解更多有关名人成才的故事等。
2 通过英语交流的实践活动，建立自信，提高学生参与语言活动的积极性。

小学高年级学生对语言的综合运用能力需要进一步提高，本节课教法上的策略是“创设情境、整体感知、呈现任务、活用语言”。
总体思路是:情境帮助理解故事，从整体感受所学语言，在"任务型"活动中引发学生运用生词和新句子，完成“阅读语篇”的任务，在活动中交流，在活动中体验，在活动中综合运用语言知识。
重点的突出:本课的重点是掌握生词和新句子，能够用英语口头讲述Helen Keller 的故事，在课堂中创设情景，来帮助学生理解。
通过句子问答和练习，进一步理解课文，并学习四会单词以及目标语句。
要求学生通过看图猜人物、讲述人物故事、看图片了解故事背景、听录音认读生词、结合图片理解故事、故事理解测试题、朗读课文、复述课文等掌握所学知识点;
难点的突破:本节的难点是正确使用could, couldn’t描述自己或他人以前能做和不能做的事.。
在教学中，用学生的儿时照片，进一步激发起学生的好奇心和求知欲，利用同学间互助交流的形式，运用could, couldn’t谈论自己过去能做以及不能做的事，为学生“真实运用”语言提供了空间。
从而自觉运用本课目标语言谈论相关话题，突破教学的难点。
三、学法特色
《英语课程标准》提倡以学生为主体，让学生在教师引导下，通过体验、合作、参与学习过程来感受成功;又根据本课的核心是用过去式介绍名人的生平事迹。
，并且高年级学生已具备一定的知识储备、搜集资料的能力，我确定本课是学生在教师创设的情境中，带着任务，整体感知阅读语篇，通过课堂讨论、课堂游戏，以小组为形式的“合作学习，自主探究”的学习方法来不断巩固运用所学语言，并完成任务。
四、教学过程
基于以上分析，我确定教学流程如下:

设计意图:
其目的是激发学生的学习兴趣，通过有趣的热身活动，与学生们拉近了距离，使学生很快进入角色、进入良好的学习状态，并为新课的导入做好了铺垫Step 2:Presentation(介绍新知)
