吴南印第安人对外来入侵者已经习以为常了。在过去
500年的时间里,他们生活的这片土地上相继来过西班牙侵
略者,解放了的非洲奴隶以及马克思主义游击队,他们都曾
试图占领土著印第安人代代相传的家园。但该地区最古老的
一支土著部落吴南印第安人,却始终顽强抵抗着。现在,他
们面临着新的挑战者——古柯叶。
在哥伦比亚乔科省的丛林里,吴南人把木结构的吊脚楼
建在河边空地上,他们生活在自己的小村庄里,很大程度上
成功远离了遍布哥伦比亚的血腥冲突。他们在胡安河两旁狩
猎、捕鱼、耕作,丝毫不为频繁交战的叛军、准军事组织以
及政府军所影响。
然而,3年前,游击队用枪口指着他们,给他们下了命
令。“他们说我们得种古柯,不然就得离开这里,”一位名

整个吴南文化。人们开始酗酒,卖淫嫖娼,这一切都伴随着
金钱出现了。”
去年3月,吴南人的聚居地“吴南联盟”的首领们给游
击队捎话:他们不再种植古柯了。结果第二天,游击队就把
一位正在讲课的老师抓走了。几个小时后,人们发现了他已
经变形的尸体。次日,一位部落首领也被抓了去,被活活打
死。
杀戮在吴南人中引起了恐慌。生活在这里的3500个吴
南人中,已经有1000多人逃到了河上游的伊斯特米纳镇,
另外几百人躲进了丛林里,还有几百人也想离开这里了。
逃离了家园的吴南人躲在河岸上的一间屋子里避难,三
十个人挤一间房。许多人难以忍受这种流亡生活,有的人爬
上船,重返故地。那些反对游击队的人则别无他法,只能留
在那里。
一位名叫荷塞?拉诺斯的部落领导一直公开反对种植古
柯。在收到准军事组织的死亡威胁后,他和他的家人来到了
伊斯特米纳。
其实,哥伦比亚全国的一百万土著居民中还有很多人受
到了同样的威胁。1年前,80名以狩猎为生的努卡克部落居
民在躲避了武装组织长达几个月的威逼利诱后,离开了丛
林。武装组织逼迫他们离开自己的土地,去种植古柯。仅有
500名努卡克人还留在丛林里,他们的生存受到越来越大的
威胁。对吴南人来说,前景是黯淡的。在伊斯特米纳,他们
沿着河岸,居住在自己的小社会里,围绕着他们的是酗酒并
滥交的非裔哥伦比亚人,对吴南人来说,这是一种完全陌生

老师们被杀害后,吴南人亲自吃力地教导他们的孩子读

“如果没有人购买毒品,就不会有人种植它,”荷塞?
拉诺斯说,“对那些购买者来说,这只是一种商品,但对我
