In Defense of SpongeBob.
My class read the story in the September23 issue about fastpaced cartoons versus slowerpaced ones(“All Cartoons Aren't Equal”，9/23 ). My younger brother Gavin has learning problems and can't understand some things. He doesn't understand Caillou because the characters don't talk very much, and Gavin doesn't know what they are doing. He does understand SpongeBob because the characters talk and explain what is going on. So, even though these cartoons are fastpaced, they are good for Gavin.
