Appreciating the profound beauty of love, friendship, community, and all the different bonds that unite people across cultures and borders is something I've really come to value in my life so far. I've seen firsthand how strong personal relationships can enrich one's life with so much joy, meaning, and comfort during difficult times.At the end of the day, I don't think there are any perfect or universal answers when it comes to the big questions about life's meaning and purpose. It's an immensely personal journey of self-discovery for each individual. But the key guideposts that currently make up my own philosophy are cherishing each day, embracing life's highs and lows with resilience, striving to have a positive impact, and prioritizing authentic human connections above all else.That's my current view, at least! But I'm sure that view will keep evolving as I continue learning, growing, and experiencing all that life has to offer in the years ahead. For now, I'm just tryingto stay curious, open-minded, and appreciative of this wildly beautifu, messy, profound experience of being alive.。

A Simple Path – To Showing Love in Every Language

One advantage of blogging is connecting with people from all other the world. I’ve met
folks from London, people from the Gold Coast of Australia and men and women who live
in India’s Western Ghats.
It’s amazing how the words I write from my kitchen in the heartland of America spread to
every corner of the world and can touch the hearts of people who live there, no matter
their culture, religion, lifestyle or traditions.
What’s equally amazing is how similar we are. Sometimes after publishing an article,
readers from places like Singapore, the Philippines and South Africa will email me to say
how the article’s message resonated with them, helped them or even inspired them.
After reading these emails for the past several years, I believe all of us want to
experience the same things in life – happiness, purpose and peace. But more than these
things, the one thing we want to experience most is love.
The word love is pronounced differently depending on language, but its meaning remains
the same. Love doesn’t need a passport, a visa or an interpreter; it just needs you and
me to keep showing love in every language so we can keep its power, and promise, alive
forever.
We can keep showing love in every language by:
- Welcoming all of our brothers and sisters to the table.
- Picking kindness over convenience.
- Helping everyone feel worthy and respected.
- Giving more than we take.
- Using our voice when our neighbors cannot use theirs.
- Finding ways to bring joy to others.
- Choosing to do work we are passionate about.
- Accepting responsibility for our actions.
- Seeking ways to serve every day.
Sometimes the simple path to showing love in every language begins not with using the
language we know, but with using our hearts to proclaim love’s amazing gifts so
everyone will know exactly what we are saying.
