At night, we roasted marshmallows around the campfire and I got to make the most ooey-gooey s'mores ever.Over the next few days, we went on some awesome hiking trails along the rim and down into the canyon itself a little ways. I felt so tiny compared to the towering rock walls and vast size of the canyon. We saw lots of neat plants, animals, and rock formations along the way. My dad took about a million pictures because the views were just breathtaking around every corner.One day, we even went whitewater rafting down the Colorado River at the bottom of the canyon! The rapids were sointense and thrilling. I thought I might fall out of the raft a few times with how crazy the waves were crashing over us. But it was exhilarating and so much fun! I've never been so soaked in my life by the end.Another highlight was when we went horseback riding along one of the trails. I was pretty nervous around such big animals at first. But my horse, Cinnamon, turned out to be a real sweetie. Getting to see the canyon from up on the trails was absolutely incredible. It looked like something straight out of an old western movie set.On our last day, we drove a few hours over to Monument Valley on the Utah/Arizona border. The landscape there was like nothing I've ever seen - just tons of funky sandstone buttes and mesas everywhere you looked. I felt like I was on Mars or something! We took a jeep tour through the area and our guide told us all about the history and Navajo culture of the valley. My mind was blown by all the amazing rock formations with names like "The Totem Poles" and "The Mitten Buttes."After nearly two weeks of adventuring, it was finally time to load up the car and head for home. I was really sad for our epic trip to be over, but so grateful we got to go on such an unforgettable vacation. I'll never forget the stunning views, funactivities, and great family time we had exploring some of the most amazing natural wonders out West. Even the long drives went by pretty quickly with snacks, road games, and good company. We made so many wonderful memories that I'll cherish forever. It was the best summer ever! I had so much fun and did a ton of really cool stuff.The summer started off with a bang when my family went to Disney World in Florida! We spent five whole days at the park, going on rides, meeting characters, and eating lots of snacks. My favorite ride was Space Mountain - it was a super fast roller coaster that went upside down and made me feel like I was blasting off into outer space. I also loved seeing all the Disney princesses like Elsa, Belle, and Ariel. They looked just like in the movies!After Disney, we went to visit my grandparents in Georgia for a week. Grandma and Grandpa live on a farm with lots of animalslike cows, chickens, and horses. I got to help collect the eggs from the chicken coop, which was pretty neat. I didn't like shoveling manure out of the horse stables though - it stunk really bad! Grandpa taught me how to fish in their little pond too.I actually caught a few bluegills, which Grandma cooked up for dinner one night. They tasted delicious!The next big adventure was going to summer camp for two weeks. I was a little nervous at first since I didn't know anybody there. But I quickly made a bunch of new friends and we did so many fun activities together. We went hiking, built campfires, made arts and crafts, played sports, and went swimming in the lake every day. My favorite was the ropes course where you climb really high up and walk across wobbly bridges while wearing a safety harness. It was scary but awesome! We also had a big talent show at the end where I did a comedy skit with my friends Ally and Marcus. We didn't win but everyone laughed a lot during our performance.When I got home from camp, my family took a road trip up to Niagara Falls in New York. The waterfalls were incredible - so powerful and majestic! We rode the Maid of the Mist boat which took us right up next to the base of the falls. We got absolutely drenched from the spray, but it was totally worth it for thatamazing view. I bought a little plastic Niagara Falls snow globe as a souvenir. On the way back home, we stopped in Pittsburgh for a baseball game which was really fun too.The last couple weeks of summer were pretty relaxing. Fourth grade is going to be awesome after this epic vacation!篇4My Amazing Summer Vacation!Wow, what an incredible summer vacation I had! I did so many fun things and went to so many cool places. I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. I was super excited because I didn't have any homework and I got to sleep in late the next day. On that first morning of summer, I slept all the way until 10am! My mom let me stay up really late too since I didn't have school. We watched movies and ate popcorn and it was the best.A few days later, we went on our annual family summer road trip. We loaded up the car with our suitcases, snacks, and roadgames. I got the prime backseat spot between my little brother and sister. Even though they fought a lot, I loved sitting between them.Our first stop was in Anaheim to visit Disneyland! I was so excited because I had been looking forward to this for months. We stayed in a really cool hotel right near the parks. It had huge waterslides and a lazy river pool. We swam every single day after walking around Disneyland.Disneyland was a total blast! We went on sooooo many rides like Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad, and the Haunted Mansion. My favorite though was Star Tours because I love Star Wars. We also met a bunch of characters like Mickey, Goofy, Darth Vader, and Kylo Ren. I got their autographs and took pictures with them.One of the highlights was the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge land. We built our own lightsabers and battled Star Wars bad guys. It felt like we were really in the movies! At night we watched the amazing fireworks show over Sleeping Beauty's Castle. It was the most magical experience ever.After a few days at Disneyland, we hit the road again heading north up the Pacific Coast. We drove along the beautiful beaches and ocean views. We stopped to look at the elephantseals resting on the beach and explore the tide pools. My brother and I found so many cool starfish, crabs, and little fish!Our next big stop was in San Francisco. We saw the famous Golden Gate Bridge which was painted a pretty red-orange color. In the city we visited Pier 39 which had adorable sea lions barking and sunbathing right near the pier. We took a super crooked trolley car ride around all the hilly streets which was scary but fun.For a few days we camped in the fresh forest air of the Redwood National Park. The redwood trees were unbelievably gigantic! We went on tons of great hikes and I collected pinecones bigger than my hand. We also went fishing, built campfires, and slept in our tent trailer. Camping was a nice relaxing break from the big cities.From there we drove all the way up through Oregon and into Washington state. We took a ferry boat ride across the Puget Sound to get to Seattle. In Seattle we visited the iconic Space Needle which had an observation deck at the very top. You could see the entire city from up there! So cool.Since we were already in Washington, we had to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins in Spokane. We love visiting them because they have a huge backyard, pool, and trampoline. Uskids basically just played outside the whole time while the adults relaxed. I didn't want to leave their house because it was so fun.Finally, on the drive back home to California, our last big stop was Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. This was probably the most exciting part of the whole trip! We saw super tall geysers like Old Faithful erupting with boiling hot water shooting up crazy high. We hiked around looking at the colorful hot springs and bubbling mud pots. I've never seen anything like it before.But the absolute coolest thing was seeing real live bears, bison, elk, and other wildlife up close (but not too close!). We saw a huge grizzly bear digging for food and a bison taking a nap right near the road we were driving on. It was amazing seeing them in their natural habitats.After our long journey through so many amazing national parks and cool cities, we finally made it back home after nearly a month on the road. I was exhausted but it was the best summer ever! I have so many wonderful memories from our epic road trip vacation. I can't wait to go on another big adventure next summer!篇5My Awesome Summer VacationThis summer, I had the best vacation ever! I went to so many fun places and did lots of cool activities. I'm going to tell you all about it.First, my family and I went to the beach for a whole week! We stayed in a big beach house right by the ocean. Every morning, I would wake up and run outside to look at the waves crashing on the shore. The beach was amazing, with soft golden sand that felt warm between my toes. I spent hours building awesome sandcastles and swimming in the salty ocean water. My little brother and I had competitions to see who could find the most interesting seashells. I found a huge conch shell that was bigger than my hand!One day, we went on a boat tour to look for dolphins. The captain said we might even see some whales if we were lucky. I was so excited! After sailing for a while, we finally spotted some dolphins jumping alongside the boat. They were grey and sleek, and I could see their smiling faces. I waved at them and made dolphin noises, hoping they would hear me. A huge pod of maybe 20 dolphins started swimming with us. It was the coolest thing ever! On the way back, the captain said we spotted twohumpback whales in the distance. I didn't get a great look, but just seeing their giant tails flapping on the water was amazing.After our beach trip, we went camping in the mountains for four days. We hiked deep into the forest to our campsite near a beautiful lake. Our tent was so tiny, I felt like I was sleeping in a little cave! At night, we made a campfire and roasted marshmallows. I got one too hot and it caught on fire, so my dad had to blow it out for me. We told spooky ghost stories around the flickering fire, and I got pretty scared. The thundering water was so powerful, and rainbows formed in the spraying mist. I felt like I was in a fairy tale! I got to wade right into the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. The freezing cold water was shocking at first, but then it felt incredibly refreshing. I'll never forget the wonderful feeling of swimming in that natural pool surrounded by rocks and trees.After camping, we visited my aunt and uncle who live on a farm out in the country. They have horses, cows, chickens, andeven a pet pig named Wilbur! Every morning, I got to help collect the chicken eggs for breakfast. The chickens didn't like me much and they pecked at my shoes. But I didn't mind because I thought they were hilarious sprinting around the chicken coop, sticking their heads in the ground to look for food.My favorite part was getting to ride the horses. My aunt taught me how to brush them, feed them treats, and secure the saddle. Then she led me around the pasture while I sat on a gorgeous brown horse named Cinnamon. Cinnamon was so calm and gentle. I felt like a noble knight riding into battle! By the end of the week, I had graduated to trotting around the pasture all by myself. I loved breathing in the fresh country air and feeling free on the back of that powerful horse.On our last evening at the farm, we had a big barbecue with all my aunt and uncle's friends and neighbors. We roasted hot dogs and juicy hamburgers over an open fire pit in the yard. Some of the farmers brought fresh corn, tomatoes, and other veggies they had just picked. We had a tasty salad and grilled veggie skewers too. For dessert, there was sweet watermelon and homemade apple pie. I stuffed myself until I thought I would pop! After we ate, all the kids played hide and seek and tag in the fields behind the barn as the sun went down. We chased firefliesand looked for shooting stars too. I had so much energy from being outdoors all week! When it got dark, the grown-ups set off colorful fireworks. I watched them burst and sparkle across the night sky in amazement. It was a perfect ending to my amazing summer vacation!I made so many wonderful memories this summer. I can't wait to go on another adventure next year!
