Unit1 Fun Facts 教学设计New Zealand一、选材介绍本篇短文从历史和地理的角度,简要介绍了新西兰国家基本情况。
新西兰是位于太平洋西南部一个美丽富饶的国家,主要由两大岛屿组成。
新西兰的历史较短,约有150年左右。
本文主要讲述了新西兰国家的地理特征,使学生对新西兰基本情况有个大致了解,是对本单元国家话题的拓展和延伸。
二、教学建议1. 教学目标1) 通过指导阅读,使学生能够获得新西兰国家的基本信息。
2) 基本读懂文章,并根据理解选择正确的信息。
3) 能够摘取文章重要信息进行简单复述。
2. 教学过程1) 读前活动。
教师可呈现Volcano和Sheep的教学挂图,激发学生的想象力。
然后拿出新西兰国家地图或国旗,让学生进一步猜测是哪个国家。
注意解释挂图中的“火山”的英语表达。
2) 读中活动。
请学生翻到本页,开始第一次阅读。
提醒学生不要纠缠于生词,要抓住短文的大致意思。
然后可请个别同学简单描述所得到信息,可根据情况,鼓励学生用英语表达。
第二次阅读,要求学生找出每个自然段核心信息句子,并把它们标出来,如150 years old, and of fire, good for farming, grow a lot of fruit and vegetables等等。
可安排同学相互交流阅读得到的重点信息,描述个人眼中的新西兰。
第三次快速完整阅读,整体再次感受语篇。
3) 读后活动。
完成“思考小任务”(Thinking tasks)的两部分内容。
答案可通过小组讨论,同桌比较等方式完成。
可鼓励学生利用已掌握知识,继续自己收集关于的新西兰更多文化历史知识。

如果你在过去做过某事,则表示这件事情已经发生。
把often 、today 、yesterday 、last night 写在黑板上。
向学生解释,他们将在本课学习一般过去时。
在英语中,表示动作发生在过去,需要在某些动词后面加后缀ed来构成一般过去时形式。
