My First Day at School It was my first day at a new school, and I was feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness. As I walked through the gates, I saw children playing and laughing, and I knew I had to make new friends.

My first class was English, and the teacher, Miss Li, greeted us with a warm smile. She talked about the importance of literature and how it could open our minds to new ideas and cultures. I was intrigued and couldn't wait to learn more.

The next class was math, and Mr. Zhang was our teacher. He explained the concepts in a clear and concise manner, making it easy for us to understand. I realized that math was not just about numbers but also about logic and reasoning.

Lunchtime was an adventure in itself. The cafeteria was buzzing with activity, and the aroma of different cuisines filled the air. I tried some new dishes and made new friends while we shared our meals. The afternoon was filled with more classes - science, history, and art. Each teacher brought a unique perspective to their subjects, making the lessons lively and engaging. I felt like I was part of a big family, and I knew I had made the right choice in coming to this school.

The weekends are the best time because I don't have to go to school and I can just relax and enjoy myself. Here are some of my favorite things to do on the weekends. One of my favorite weekend activities is playing outside with my friends. We like to play games like hide-and-seek, tag, and jump rope. Sometimes we also play sports like basketball, soccer, or badminton. Playing outside is so much fun because we can run around, get some exercise, and just be kids. The fresh air and sunshine make me feel happy and energetic.Another thing I love to do on the weekends is read books. I really enjoy reading adventure stories, mysteries, and fantasy books. When I read, I can use my imagination and picture the characters and settings in my mind. It's like I'm transported to another world! Reading is also a great way to learn new words and facts. My favorite place to read is in my bedroom, curled up on my beanbag chair. In addition to playing outside and reading, I also enjoy doing arts and crafts on the weekends. I like to draw pictures, paint, make greeting cards, and work on other creative projects. Art allows me to express myself and be creative. It's really satisfying to make something with my own hands. Sometimes I even make little gifts or decorations for my family.Of course, no weekend would be complete without spending time with my family. We often go on outings together, like visiting the park, going to the movies, or having a picnic. We also like to play board games or video games together at home. Family time is special because we can bond, laugh, and make happy memories. On Sundays, my family and I usually go to church in the morning. I enjoy singing the hymns and listening to the Bible stories and lessons. Going to church helps me learn about Godand how to be a good person. After church, we sometimes go out for a family lunch or do other fun activities together.I also try to make sure I get my homework done on the weekends so that I'm prepared for the new school week. However, I always save some time for just relaxing and doing whatever I feel like. Maybe I'll watch a movie, call a friend, or just daydream. The weekends are my time to recharge before another busy week of school.Weekends are the best! I get to do all my favorite activities and spend quality time with my friends and family. The days just seem to fly by too quickly. Before I know it, it's Sunday night and I have to get ready for Monday again. But that's okay, because I know another fun-filled weekend is right around the corner. I can't wait!篇2My Super Cool Summer Vacation!Hi everyone! I'm going to tell you all about my awesome summer vacation. It was the best one ever! I went to so many fun places and did a ton of cool activities. I can't wait to share everything with you guys. Get ready for an epic story time! The first stop on my summer adventure was my grandparents' house in the countryside. They live on a huge farm with lots of animals like cows, chickens, and pigs. My grandpa even has a tractor that I got to ride on! That was probably the highlight of the farm visit for me. Driving that big ol' tractor and getting to honk the super loud horn was an absolute blast. My grandma taught me how to collect eggs from the chicken coop too. I have to admit, I was kinda scared to put my hand in there at first, but then I got used to it. Those chickens were pretty funny looking up close! After spending a week on the farm, we went to the beach for a few days. The beach we went to had the most beautiful bright blue water and soft, white sand. I loved building sandcastles and jumping over the waves crashing on the shore. My little brother and I had a contest to see who could build the biggest sandcastle. I think mine was bigger, but he'll probably say his was! We also went snorkeling for the first time, which was awesome. Underwater, there were so many colorful fish and coral reefs to look at. It felt like being in a magical underwater world. So cool! The next stop was an amusement park called Roller Coaster Land. True to its name, this place had the craziest, loopiest roller coasters ever! My dad had to trick me onto getting on the firstone because I was pretty nervous at first. But after that initial coaster ride, I couldn't get enough of them. We went on roller coaster after roller coaster, my hands up in the air screaming with excitement the whole time. Besides the roller coasters, I also really liked the go-karts, Ferris wheel, and haunted house attractions. The haunted house was spooooky, but still really fun. From the amusement park, we drove up to the mountains to go camping and hiking for a few days. I had been camping with my parents before, but this was my first time hiking up an actual mountain trail. It was pretty tiring with all of the uphill climbing, but the views from the top were just breathtaking. You could see for miles and miles in every direction. We even spotted a few deer wandering around in the trees! At night by the campfire, we roasted marshmallows and told scary stories. I'll never forget the hilarious story my dad told about a haunted outhouse. We all laughed so hard, my tummy hurt afterwards. On the drive back home, we stopped at this awesome trampoline park called Launch Pad. You guys, this place had trampolines everywhere - on the floors, the walls, even the ceiling! I spent two whole hours just bouncing and flipping around from trampoline to trampoline. I felt like a little bouncy kangaroo. Jumping that high into the air was such a wild rush. Ididn't want to leave when it was time to go! My legs were crazy sore the next day, but it was 100% worth it.Those were just the big highlights too! I haven't even mentioned all of the swimming pool days, movie nights, sleepovers with friends, or boardwalk visits. We seriously packed so much fun stuff into just two months. I had the time of my life this summer vacation. Part of me is sad it's over, but an even bigger part can't wait for next summer! Who knows what crazy adventures are in store? I'm already counting down the days!Well, that's all for my super epic summer vacation story. I hope you all enjoyed listening as much as I enjoyed living it! Getting to experience so many new and exciting things this summer made me realize how many cool opportunities there are out there to explore. The world is full of so much wonder and excitement just waiting to be discovered. I can't wait to keep adventuring and having fun! Thanks for reading, friends!篇3My Awesome Summer VacationYay, summer vacation was here at last! No more classes, homework or waking up early. I was super excited to just relax, have fun and make the most of my free time over the next few months. The first week, my parents let me sleep in as late as I wanted.I loved lounging around in my pajamas and playing video games and watching TV shows. But after a few days of that, I started getting pretty bored just sitting around the house all day. That's when my parents suggested I join the summer camp at the community center. At first, I wasn't crazy about the idea because I thought camps were for little kids. But when I found out some of my friends were going too, I decided to give it a try.Boy, am I glad I did! The camp was SO much fun. Every day, we got to do cool activities like swimming, rock climbing, arts and crafts, cooking classes, field trips and more. My favorite was probably the camping trip where we went hiking, built campfires, told spooky stories and slept in tents. I had such an awesome time!I also got to make some new friends at camp, which was really neat. There were kids from all over the neighborhood that went to different schools. At first, it felt a bit weird being around strangers. But by the second week, I felt like I had known them forever. We spent all day every day together, playing games, joking around and getting into mischief together. Our campcounselors had to stay on their toes because we were a rambunctious bunch!Another thing I loved about camp was going on all the fun field trips. One week, we went to an amusement park and rode the biggest roller coasters, which was simultaneously terrifying and exhilarating. Another time, we visited a science museum and got to do hands-on experiments and see the dinosaur exhibit. We also went to the city's great art museum and learned about different painting styles. On that trip, we even got to make our own paintings using real artwork supplies. I'll never forget how proud I felt of my vibrant, abstract masterpiece! When camp was over after six awesome weeks, I was sad for it to end but also excited to spend the remaining part of vacation with my family. My parents had saved up some money to take us on a big trip to the beach for a week. We stayed in a gorgeous ocean-front hotel and went swimming, built sandcastles, hunted for seashells, and went on a whale watching tour. It was amazing getting to experience the crashing waves, salty sea air, and beautiful sunsets over the sparkling blue ocean. One night, we had a fun beach bonfire and roasted marshmallows for s'mores under the star-filled sky. My little sister was convinced she saw a mermaid's tail splashing in thewaves! Even though I knew it was just her imagination, I didn't want to ruin the magic for her. My favorite part was finding a soft, white feather on the beach and showing it to my parents. They said it was a gift from the "beach angel" and gave me a warm hug. So sweet! After our wonderful beach vacation, we only had a couple weeks of summer left before school started up again. I spent that time mostly playing outside with the neighbors, re-reading my favorite book series, and getting my new school supplies organized and ready. I tried not to think too hard about having to wake up early and do homework again. Instead, I just focused on being grateful for the awesome adventures and lifelong memories I had made that summer. It was one I would never, ever forget!篇4My Family VacationYay, it was finally summer vacation! I was so excited because my parents said we were going on a really cool family trip. I didn't know where we were going yet, but I couldn't wait to find out.A few days before we left, my mom and dad called me and my little brother into the living room. "Kids, we have a surprise for you," my dad said with a big smile. "We're going to Beijing for our vacation this year!"My brother and I started jumping up and down with joy. Beijing! The capital of China! I had learned all about it in school and couldn't wait to see the famous sights in person. The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall - we were going to experience them all!The day of our trip finally arrived. We woke up super early to get to the airport on time. I was a little nervous because I had never been on a plane before. But my dad reassured me that it would be totally safe and fun. He was right - once we were up in the air, it was amazing to look out the window and see the world from so high up!After a few hours, the captain announced we would be landing soon. I pressed my face against the window, eager to get my first glimpse of Beijing. As we descended, I could make out the massive city stretching out below us. It was incredible! We took a taxi from the airport to our hotel right in the heart of downtown Beijing. Our room had an awesome viewoverlooking the busy streets filled with cars, bikes, and people. I couldn't wait to start exploring. The next morning, we headed straight for Tiananmen Square after breakfast. It was so cool to finally see it in person after learning all about it in school. My dad let me take some pictures of the huge portrait of Chairman Mao hanging on the gate. The square itself was ginormous - I had no idea just how big it really was! From there, we went to the Forbidden City, which was right next to Tiananmen Square. Walking through the ancient gates into the palace felt like stepping back in time. Our tour guide told us all about how the emperors used to live there with their families and rule China from within those walls. We saw the fancy living quarters, temples, gardens, and the amazing throne room.I tried to imagine what it would have been like to be an emperor or empress living there hundreds of years ago.The next day, we visited one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Great Wall of China! I had seen pictures, but no photo could do it justice. As our bus approached the wall snaking along the mountaintops, I was in complete awe. The scale of it was unbelievable. We took a cable car partway up the mountain, then finished the climb on foot up hundreds of steep stone steps. I was huffing and puffing by the time we reached the top! But the view from walking along the watchtowers and ramparts high up on the Great Wall was 100% worth the effort. I felt so proud that I could look out over this incredible feat of human architecture and engineering that has stood for centuries. In between all the amazing sights, we also got to experience regular life in Beijing. We wandered through hutong neighborhoods with traditional courtyard homes and tiny alleys. We shopped for souvenirs and snacks at the famous Wangfujing Street market. And of course, we ate more delicious food than I could possibly describe - dumplings, noodles, Peking duck, and lots of other yummy dishes. All too soon, it was time to head back home to our little town.I was really sad for our Beijing adventure to end, but so grateful to my parents for taking us on such an incredible trip. I have so many wonderful memories exploring one of the most historic cities in the world. Maybe someday when I'm older, I'll even get to go back and experience it all over again!篇5My Awesome Summer VacationYay! Summer vacation was finally here and I was super excited! No more waking up early, no more homework, and no more boring classes. It was going to be two whole months of fun, fun, fun!The first week, my parents took me and my little sister to my grandparents' house in the countryside. Grandma and Grandpa live in a cute little village surrounded by fields of crops and lots of trees. As soon as we arrived, I ran outside to explore. I loved the fresh air and the sound of birds chirping. My sister and I spent hours playing chase, climbing trees, and looking for cool bugs and rocks. Grandpa even taught us how to fish in the small stream behind their house. I caught a tiny fish and named him Finny before letting him go.After staying a week with my grandparents, we went back home. Mom and Dad had planned lots of fun day trips for us. One day, we went to a water park that had huge water slides and a lazy river. I went down the tallest slide about ten times! It was a little scary at first, but super thrilling. Another day, we visited an amusement park with awesome roller coasters. My favorite was the Rocket Blast - it went so fast with crazy loops and turns. I couldn't stop giggling the whole ride!Part of summer was also spent at day camp. Every day, my camp group went on adventures around the city. We hiked forest trails, visited museums, and even took a boat tour along the river. The counselors organized fun games and activities too. My favorite was fiber arts where we learned to make potholders, keychains, and friendship bracelets by weaving colorful strings together. I made a really cool camp keychain that now has a special place on my backpack. Some days, we just hung out at home. My best friend Jessica lives next door, so we spent a lot of time playing together in our backyards. We set up a lemonade stand and sold cups for 25 cents each. We used the money to buy popsicles from the ice cream truck. We also had epic water balloon fights to beat the summer heat. Jess and I built a secret fort out of cardboard boxes and old blankets where we'd laugh, tell stories, and imagine crazy adventures. As summer came to an end, my family took one final trip to the beach for a week. The beach was amazing! I loved playing in the waves, building sandcastles, and collecting pretty seashells. One afternoon, we went on a dolphin watching cruise and got to see a whole pod swimming beside the boat. I made a new friend named Miguel who was visiting from Mexico. We played frisbee, soccer, and buried each other in the sand. It was the best week ever and I was so sad when it was time to leave. On the drive back home, I thought about all the awesome summer memories I had made. Sure, there were a few rainy days stuck inside, but mostly it was non-stop fun and adventure. I got to experience so many new things and make new friends. Summer always seems to go by too quickly, but I have tons of great stories to share when I go back to school. I can't wait for next summer!篇6My Awesome Summer VacationHey there, friends! I'm so excited to tell you all about my totally awesome summer vacation. It was the best one ever! We did so many fun things and went to some really cool places. Let me start from the beginning. At the start of summer, my parents surprised me and my little brother Timmy with tickets to go to Disneyland in California! We had never been there before, so we were jumping up and down with excitement. A few days later, we hopped on a plane and were off on our big adventure. When we got to Disneyland, it was even more magical than I imagined. The second we walked through the gates, it felt like we had entered a fairytale world. Everywhere we looked there were Disney characters, rides, shows, and so much more. It was absolutely amazing! The first ride we went on was Space Mountain. It was a super fast indoor rollercoaster that went upside down and everything! I was a little nervous at first, but it ended up being a total blast. After that, we went on Splash Mountain, which is a big water ride. We got completely soaked, but it was so much fun.One of the highlights was getting to meet some of the Disney Princesses. We waited in line to take photos with Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel. They looked exactly like they do in the movies! I felt like a little kid again admiring their beautiful dresses. Timmy's favorite was Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. He got his autograph and gave him a big hug.In the evenings, we watched the incredible fireworks shows and parades. The fireworks lit up the whole park in a rainbow of colors. And the parades had huge floats with all the Disney characters dancing along. It was such an amazing experience that I'll never forget. After a few days at Disneyland, we drove over to San Diego to go to the world-famous San Diego Zoo. I'm a huge animal lover, so I was super psyched for this part of our trip. We saw so many incredible animals up close like pandas, polar bears, giraffes, lions, and elephants. My favorite were the gorillas - they were so human-like! We also went on a safari tour where zebras, antelope, and other animals roamed freely right near our vehicle. One of the zookeepers taught us all about how they care for the animals and work to protect endangered species. I have so much respect for the people who dedicate their lives to helping animals. Our planet's wildlife is so precious, and we need to do everything we can to keep it safe.On our last day in California, we spent the morning at the beach. We swam in the Pacific Ocean, built sandcastles, and played frisbee on the sand. The water was a little chilly, but it felt so refreshing and nice after being in the hot sun. We even saw some dolphins swimming not too far from shore! After that awesome summer trip, we came back home totally exhausted but with huge smiles on our faces. I already can't wait for next summer so we can go on another fun family adventure somewhere new. Maybe we'll visit New York City next time!Well, that's the scoop on my amazing summer vacation. Between Disneyland, the San Diego Zoo, and the beach, it was packed with so many wonderful memories that I'll cherish forever. Summer is the best time of year to go on exciting trips and make fun new experiences with your family and friends. What did you do over summer break? I'd love to hear all about your adventures too!。

冀教版五年级英语下册作文第一单元,范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Awesome Summer VacationWow, I had the best summer vacation ever this year! My family and I went on a really cool trip to Beijing. I've never been to a huge city like that before. It was so exciting! We left on a train from our small town early one morning. I had never been on a real train before, just the little local one. This was a high-speed bullet train that could go super fast! The seats were really comfortable and there were TV screens where you could watch movies. On the way there, I watched a funny cartoon film about a dog who gets lost in the city. It made me a little nervous about getting lost myself in huge Beijing! After a few hours, we finally arrived at the gigantic Beijing West Railway Station. I had never seen such a big place in my whole life! There were thousands of people rushing around everywhere. It felt like we were in another world. My little brother's eyes got as big as dinner plates looking at all the crowds. We carefully followed my dad out to meet our uncle, who lives in Beijing. He took us to his house on the subway, which I had also never ridden before. Just like everything else, it was massive, going super deep underground with towering concrete walls. The next day, we went to visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. They were absolutely enormous! I couldn't believe how big those places were. My uncle told me the Forbidden City used to be where the emperors lived long ago with their families and servants. He said it was forbidden for regular people to go inside, hence the name. I'm glad we're allowed in nowadays so I could see it. The architecture was beautiful and unlike anything I'd seen before. Those bright red walls and buildings looked like they came straight out of a picture book. From there, we walked over to see Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall. We had to wait in a very long line for over an hour to go inside and view his preserved body from behind glass. It was a somber experience, but I'm glad I got to learn about such an important figure from China's recent history. Afterwards, we wandered through some old-style Beijing neighborhoods called hutongs. I loved seeing all the tiny alleys, courtyard houses, and historic stone sidewalks. We stopped at a shop to tryzhajiangmian, one of Beijing's most famous noodle dishes. The sauce made from fermented soybean paste was a new and exciting flavor for me.The next day, we visited the Great Wall at Badaling. I had learned a little about it in school, but nowhere could have prepared me for how immense and magnificent it looked in person! The wall went on farther than my eyes could see, winding over impossibly tall mountains. It kind of looked like a gigantic stone dragon slithering across the peaks. My legs started shaking just from climbing a short stretch of it. I can't imagine how tired the ancient workers must have felt building the whole thing all those centuries ago!We took a break from sightseeing for a couple days, which my feet were very thankful for. My uncle took us to places in Beijing that normal tourists usually don't go. We explored huge parks filled with locals doing activities like dancing, singing, playing games, and practicing martial arts. One elderly man was amazing at a Chinese sword dance, wielding two long blades effortlessly while flowing across the pavement. I got to snack on lots of delicious Beijing street foods too, like candied hawthorn berries, sweet potato donuts, and sticky rice balls. For our final big excursion, we visited the magical Summer Palace on the outskirts of the city. It felt like we had entered a fairytale land! Gorgeous temples and pavilions bordered a giant lake full of amazing scenery around every turn. We took a boat ride across the waters and hiked up a huge hill to see the ornate Buddhist temples at the top. That night for dinner, we ate at one of Beijing's famous roast duck restaurants. The crispy skin of the duck was the most delicious thing I've ever tasted! On the train ride home, I dozed off feeling full and content after my amazing Beijing adventure.I'm so grateful my parents took us on this unforgettable trip. Beijing totally blew my mind with how big and incredible everything was compared to our tiny little town. The sights, the sounds, the tastes - I'll never forget any of it! I learned so much about China's rich history and culture. This summer vacation was an experience I'll cherish forever.篇2My Favorite SeasonWow, it's so much fun to talk about my favorite season! You'll never believe which one it is. Are you ready? My favoriteseason is...summer! Yeah, I know, a lot of kids love summer. But I really, really love it. Let me tell you why.First of all, summer means no more school! No more waking up super early and rushing to class. No more homework or tests. Just freedom to play and have fun all day long. That's the best feeling ever, isn't it? I get to sleep in late, stay up past my bedtime, and do whatever I want. My parents are a little more relaxed with the rules too during summer vacation. The weather in summer is also amazing where I live. It gets so nice and warm. The sun shines brightly in the sky almost every day. That means I can go outside and play as much as I want without having to bundle up in a big, heavy coat. It's perfect weather for swimming, having water balloon fights, riding bikes, and all my other favorite outdoor activities.Speaking of swimming, that's one of the top reasons why I love summer so much. My family has a pool in our backyard and I'm a total fish! As soon as the weather gets warm enough, I'm the first one diving into that cool, refreshing water. I can spend hours splashing around, going off the diving board, and playing pool games with my friends. We have so many epic marco polo battles!Going to the beach is another summer highlight for me. I'll never get tired of the smell of the salty ocean air, the feeling of the warm sand between my toes, and the sound of the crashing waves. My family goes on beach vacations every year, and I always have a blast building sandcastles, jumping over the waves, and burying my brother up to his neck in the sand. He hates that, but I think it's hilarious! We also go fishing off the pier sometimes and I've even caught a few small fish before. Two more words: summer camp! I go to the best sleepaway camp every single summer. It's located up in the mountains surrounded by beautiful forests and lakes. We do all sorts of cool activities like archery, rock climbing, kayaking, arts and crafts, and campfires with s'mores at night. But the best part is hanging out with my camp friends all day and night. We stay up late whispering and laughing way after lights out. Summer camp is just the ultimate way to spend summer vacation. There are so many other reasons why summer is my favorite too. The sunny days are perfect for hiking, picnics, and backyard barbecues. The parks and playgrounds are always packed with kids running around. Everybody just seems happier during the summer months. Plus, there are fun holidays like the 4th of July with fireworks and parades. And who could forget aboutbaseball season? Playing catch or going to a baseball game is an essential part of summer. On the flip side, as much as I adore summer, there is one thing I'm not a fan of - mosquito bites! Those itchy bug bites are the absolute worst. I have a terrible habit of scratching them until they get all red and irritated. Then my mom yells at me because I'm going to leave permanent scars. I really need to work on not scratching so much. Slathering on some anti-itch cream usually helps though.Another small downside is that it can get pretty hot during the peak of summer where I live. Like,sweat-dripping-down-your-face hot. Sometimes it's just too humid and sticky to even want to go outside. That's when I'll stay inside and read books or watch movies in the nice air conditioning all day. Or I'll run through the sprinklers in the backyard to cool off.But even with those couple of negatives, summer is still hands-down my favorite time of the year. From the second I wake up on the last day of school until the morning of the first day back, I'm in pure summer bliss. That wonderful feeling of freedom and warmth is just impossible to beat. So that's why, ifyou asked me what my favorite season is, I'll always say summer without hesitation. The dog days can't go by fast enough for me!Well, I guess that's all I have to say about why I love summer so much. Hopefully you understand now why it's the best season of all. Nothing tops those long, carefree, sunny days of summer vacation. I'll be counting down the days until summer rolls around again. Who's with me?篇3My Favorite SeasonI really love all the different seasons, but if I had to pick my absolute favorite, it would be summer! Summer is the best season ever for so many reasons.First of all, the weather in summer is amazing. It's warm and sunny pretty much every single day. That means I can spend tons of time outside playing with my friends instead of being cooped up inside. We have super fun water balloon fights to cool off. My friends and I also set up a lemonade stand and sell ice cold lemonade to people walking by. It's so nice not having to bundle up in a million layers of coats, hats, scarves and mittens!Another awesome thing about summer is that there's no school! That's right, two whole months off from learning. No teachers, no homework, no tests. Just pure freedom! I get to sleep in as late as I want. My parents don't rush me out the door in the morning. It's like a dream come true.Of course, with all that free time, summer is perfect for going on vacations and fun trips. Last summer, my family went to Thailand for two weeks. We spent time on beautiful beaches, swam in the crystal clear ocean, and I even got to ride an elephant! This summer, we're planning a trip to Beijing to see all the historical sights like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. I'm super excited. When I'm not on vacation, I love hanging out at home in the summer too. My neighborhood friends and I have popsicle eating contests and have videogame marathons. We camp out in the backyard, stay up late telling spooky stories, and roast marshmallows over a fire pit. Fun times!Another great summer activity is summer camp! I go to day camp for a few weeks each year. We do all kinds of cool outdoors stuff like hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, and team building games. I've made so many new friends from summer camp overthe years. The counselors are really fun too and make sure we have an awesome time.Speaking of awesome times, there are so many fun summer events and festivals happening. The 4th of July is my favorite holiday, with incredible fireworks shows, barbecues, and parades. My family always goes to the big county fair in August too. I love going on all the crazy rides, playing games to win stuffed animals, and eating way too much cotton candy, caramel apples, and funnel cakes! Those are just some of the reasons why summer is my number one, ultimate, very best season of all. The warm weather, no school, vacations, backyard fun, summer camp, and exciting events make those three months fly by way too fast. Pretty much as soon as summer arrives, I'm already sad that it will be over before I know it. But I guess that's why I have to make sure to soak up every second of summer fun while I can!So yeah, you could say I'm just a tiny bit obsessed with summer. Fall, winter, and spring are OK I guess. But summer will always be my favorite season. Bring on the sun, fun, and NO SCHOOL!篇4My Summer Vacation AdventureHi friends! I'm so excited to tell you all about my awesome summer vacation. It was the best summer ever! My family and I went on a really fun trip to the beach. We had never been to the ocean before, so it was a totally new experience for all of us.The first day we got there, I could hardly believe my eyes. The ocean was huuuuuge! The water seemed to go on forever, all the way to the horizon. It was the most beautiful shade ofblue-green that I had ever seen. I had read about oceans in books, but seeing it in real life was breathtaking. The waves crashed against the sandy shore, making a relaxing rushing sound. I loved the feeling of the warm breeze blowing against my face and smelling the salty ocean air.We rented a beach house just steps away from the water. It was a cute little yellow house with a porch that had rocking chairs and a hammock to relax in. Inside, it had a cozy living room, small kitchen, and three tiny bedrooms. My brother and I had to share the smallest bedroom, but we didn't mind at all. We were just so thrilled to be at the beach!Every morning, my brother and I would race outside in our swimsuits, leaving a trail of sandy footprints behind us. We spent hours and hours playing in the crashing waves and buildingsandcastles. The sand was perfectly soft and warm between our toes. Sometimes we would collect pretty seashells that had washed up on shore. Other times, we tried to catch the little minnows and crabs that darted around in the shallow water. We always came back inside starving and with our skin slightly pink from being in the sun.In the afternoons, we would take a break from the beach and go explore the cute little beach town with my parents. There were lots of fun stores selling souvenirs, beach toys, and delicious snacks. My favorite was the taffy shop that had every flavor you could imagine - chocolate, banana, watermelon, cherry, and more! The taffy was so chewy and bursting with sweetness. I probably ate too much of it but it was too good to resist. We also got to do some really cool activities, like going on a dolphin watching tour on aboat and visiting the lighthouse. Seeing all the bottlenose dolphins gracefully swimming and jumping out of the water was incredible. And climbing up the winding staircase inside the tall lighthouse gave us a gorgeous view of the whole area. I felt like I could see for miles and miles of sparkling blue ocean. On the last night of our vacation, we had a big bonfire right on the beach. We roasted marshmallows over the crackling flames as the sun set in vibrant shades of orange, pink and purple over the water. We made s'mores and played games on the sand as the stars began to twinkle in the night sky. I felt so happy, peaceful and thankful for the amazing week we had. I wished summer would never end so we could stay there forever!Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. We had to pack up and head back home eventually. But I have so many wonderful memories from that trip that I'll never forget. Being at the beach opened up a whole new world for me that I had only dreamed about before. I can't wait until our next summer vacation when we get to have more fun, sun and sandy adventures!篇5My Family and IHi there! I'm really excited to tell you all about my family. We're a pretty big and fun bunch!First up is my mom. Her name is Lisa and she's the best mom ever! She works at a big office downtown as an accountant. Math is her thing for sure. She's wicked smart and always helping mewith my homework. Mom also makes the yummiest chocolate chip cookies. Whenever I'm having a rough day, her cookies always cheer me up. I'm lucky she packs them in my lunchbox sometimes! Mom has pretty blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She gives the tightest hugs. Then there's my dad, Mike. Dad is a construction worker and he's really strong and handy. He can fix just about anything around the house. Once our kitchen sink got clogged and he figured out how to unclog it all by himself. Dad's pretty goofy too and is always cracking jokes to make us laugh. He has a big bushy beard that's kinda scratchy when he kisses me on the cheek. Dad loves going camping and fishing with me on the weekends. We have awesome adventures!I also have an older sister named Emily who's 16. We fight a lot because she's a typical stinky teenage girl. Emily spends hours putting on makeup and doing her hair. She thinks she's so cool. But I still love her deep down! Emily is really good at art and wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up. Her drawings are pretty amazing. I have to admit her fashion sense is on point too. Maybe she'll make me some cool clothes one day!My younger brother Timmy just turned 5 last month. He's a crazy little ball of energy! Timmy is obsessed with superheroesand runs around the house wearing a cape all day. He makes me be the villain sometimes which is annoying. But I love playing pretend with him because his imagination is so wild! Timmy's favorite superhero is The Incredible Hulk. I think it's because they're both little balls of fury, haha! He hasn't started school yet but I know he'll love it.We can't forget about our pet dog Buster! Buster is a big goofy golden retriever. He's technically the family dog but he loves me the most (don't tell anyone!). Buster gets sooo excited whenever I get home from school and covers me in slobbery kisses. It's kinda gross but I don't mind. He's my best furry friend! Buster loves chasing squirrels in the backyard and playing fetch. Sometimes he brings me dead animals as gifts which is...not my favorite. But he means well!Even though they drive me nuts sometimes, I wouldn't trade my family for anything. We have a lot of laughs and love together. We're a pretty tight-knit, goofy group. I feel so lucky to be part of this crazy family! Families come in all shapes and sizes but no matter what, they'll always be there for you. That's why I cherish my family so much.Well, that's my family in a nutshell! I could go on and on about their quirks and stories. Maybe I'll tell you more aboutthem another time. Thanks for letting me gush about my favorite people. Families are the best, aren't they? I'm one lucky kid!篇6My Favorite Season is SummerSummer is my favorite time of the year! Everything is so warm and sunny. School is out, so I have lots of free time to play outside with my friends. We go to the park almost every day and play on the swings, slides, and monkey bars. Sometimes we have races to see who is the fastest runner. I'm not the fastest, but I try my hardest. In the summer, my family likes to go on vacation. Last year, we went to the beach for a week. It was so much fun! I love the beach because I can swim in the ocean and build sandcastles. My little sister and I had a contest to see who could build the biggest sandcastle. Hers was a little bigger than mine, but mine had more decorations like seashells. The ocean water was a pretty blue-green color and the waves were perfect for boogie boarding. I can't wait to go back to the beach again this summer! When we're not on vacation, we spend a lot of time in our backyard. My dad put up a big swimming pool and we go swimming almost every day when it's hot out. I'm a pretty goodswimmer now. I can swim underwater for a really long time! My mom always makes us yummy snacks and drinks like popsicles and lemonade to help us cool off. We have picnic lunches outside on the patio too. Sometimes my cousins come over and we have huge water balloon fights that get everyone soaking wet. It's so fun!Another thing I love about summer is that my bedtime gets moved later since there is more daylight. I get to stay up until9pm instead of 8pm during the school year. With the extra hour at night, I can read more of my favorite books or watch an extra TV show or movie. On weekends, my parents even let me sleep in as late as I want!Summer also means lots of yummy fresh fruits and vegetables are in season. My favorites are watermelon, strawberries, corn on the cob, and tomatoes from our little garden. They just taste so much better in the summertime when they're vine-ripened. We always have a huge watermelon seed spitting contest to see who can spit them the farthest. I'm not very good at it, but it cracks me up watching my dad and brother compete! The 4th of July is another highlight of summer. We always go see the incredible fireworks show put on by our town. Thefireworks are so colorful and sparkly in the night sky. Afterwards, we roast marshmallows over the firepit in our backyard and make delicious s'mores. Camping is really fun in the summer too. We went camping in the mountains a few weeks ago and did a cool nighttime hike. We saw some deer, raccoons, and heard the hooting of owls. I also caught a few fireflies in a jar so I could watch their little lights blink on and off. So magical!Of course, no summer is complete without celebrating my birthday in July. Mom and Dad always plan fun activities like going to the water park, miniature golfing, or having a pool party. And of course, there is always a huge birthday cake and lots of presents. I feel so lucky on my birthday!Summer just seems to pass by so quickly though. Before I know it, it's time to start getting ready to go back to school. I have to get new school supplies like pencils, notebooks, folders, and a backpack. I'm always excited but sad at the same time to be leaving the lazy days of summer behind. At least I know that in just about 9 months, the summer fun will begin again!。
