If a person really thinks of money as everything and pays his attention only to money, he will lose his friends, or even the care and warmth from his family. But it is also held that money is the root of evil. It is the person who uses money that can be regarded as good or bad. Money can be used to build a country but it can also be used to destroy a country. I like sports very much because it is one of the best ways
of keeping healthy and it can bring me lots of happiness.
I like swimming, playing baketball and badminton. But pla

When I was a senior three student, I began to play table tenni
s. Before then, I did little sports in spare time. In the two years fr
om then, I didn’t stop playing it. It is my favorite sport because it
has been bringing me much.
It let me know how to learn something. At the beginning, I le
arnt to play from my friend. He always told me something basic th
ings while playing with me: the rules, the score and so on. But I t
hought it is a waste of time to study that things, what I needed w
as how to heat the ball. I showed my impatience. He told me that
I should know what was allowed to do then I would know what t
o do. I think that is right not only to a sport but to everything.
I also learnt to persist during doing things. As a new learner,
I did not know how to heat a ball properly. Always I made it fly
far away, and I had to run to pick it up. It was not an easy job.
Every time I was in a sweat after playing. And what discouraged
me the most was that others did not want to play with me. So one
or two times I even felt it meaningless for two people together wi
th a ball. But my “professor” told me: the beginning is much impo
rtant just because you may do easily go wrong but easily go right;
however, it is more difficult if you have got some success. Of co
urse, I followed his words.
But what I like most is that I can make friends with some go
od players. I am a little shy to communicate with strangers. But if
give much more time, I can make it. Playing table tennis has pro
vided me what I need. Sometimes I went to play without my good
friends. When I found someone play well, I would try to chat wit
h him. Then I asked if I could play with him. Always they were p
leased to. So I could not only learn some skills but make friends.
Playing make me feel less shy to talk with others.
Now my skill is not so bad. I find it a little difficult to make
a progress now though I play it hardly. There are so many people
are playing it, and so many are good at it, with playing with the
m, I have learnt how to learn, how to complete. Table tennis is no
t only a sport but a way to communicate, a way to recognize mys
elf. It develops both my body and my ability.
