Geographers compare and contrast 71 places on the earth. compare意为to exam for similarities and differences, contrast意为to compare in order to show differences。 The foreign research scholar usually isolates himself in the laboratory as a means of protection; 72, what he needs is to be fitted into a highly organized university system… 72A) otherwise B) moreover C) however D) also 这里讲到的结构,是指英文中句子结构的固定词组,如not only…but…,as well, some…the others …, still others… /make use of sth. 例如: “In the United States professors have many other duties 86 teaching, such as administrative or research work . 87 ,the time that a professor can spend with a student outside of classislimited.”86. A) but B) except C) with D) besides87. A) However B)Therefore C) Furthermore D) Nevertheless (2)句际之间的逻辑关系完形填空中,句际之间的逻辑关系主要包括:并列关系(连接词有and, while等);转折关系(连接词有but, however, though, whereas, nevertheless等);因果关系(连接词有so, therefore, thus, because, for, since, as等);让步关系(连接词有though, although, despite, in spite of等);条件关系(连接词有if, unless, once, provided that, in case (of)等);解释关系(连接词有i.e., that is to say, in other words等);顺序关系(连接词有before, after, and, first, second, then, next, finally等) (3)词汇的复现关系词汇的复现关系是指某一个词以原词,指代词,同义词,近义词,上义词,下义词,概括词等出现在语篇中,语篇中的句子通过这种复现关系得以相互衔接。
