The book on that desk is mine. 介词短语做后置定语三．从句为什么要有从句？因为有时候要形容一样东西需要的词太多，太复杂，这样就需要用一个句子来描述，意义就是修饰，使句子传达更多的信息，也更优美。
从句出现在复杂句也就是主从复合句中，它隶属于主句。
主句可以独立成句，它不能独立成句，但也有主语部分和谓语部分，就是句子一样。
所不同的是，它必须由一个关联词that, who, whom, when, why, where, how, which 等引导词来引导。
