Unit6 Is this a shopping centre?第一课时教学目标1. 能用所学词语和句子谈论和表述城市建筑和街道。
2. 能听懂并会用We had no places to live or work in. There were no buildings or streets after the earthquake. 进行对话和交流。
3. 让学生了解过去，珍惜现在的幸福生活，从而更加发奋学习。
教学重难点词汇: earthquake street terrible place句型: We had no places to live or work in.The earthquake was terrible.There were no buildings or streets after the earthquake.教学活动教师提供一张学生不太熟悉的城市地图（最好是英国或美国某城市的局部地图），让学生就地图上的建筑物和街道，分组进行谈论和问答对话。
这样，可以给学生提供拓展练习的机会。
课前准备教师课前需要准备录音机、磁带和教学挂图。
教学过程1. 任务1的教学：（1）让学生浏览Listen, read and tick的内容，先大致了解内容，知道其大意。
（2）向学生布置“任务”，让学生带着“任务”去听Listen, read and tick的录音，注意分别听到了哪些城市建筑和街道，并进行要点摘记。
（要求学生边听边记录，以使他们养成记笔记的好习惯。
）（3）在学生基本听懂的基础上，进一步朗读短文内容。
朗读可以采用跟录音读、教师带读、学生齐读，或分组轮流朗读等形式。
（4）在学生熟读短文内容的基础上，让学生根据内容在下框中判断a, b和c三句话是否正确。
如果句子正确，在True后的括号内打√号；如果不正确，在False 后的括号内打√号。
（学生写过后，教师可以让学生相互核对或直接给出正确答案。
