学生生活是非常美好的，有很多美好的回忆。
我还记得我们班有一个男生，每天都在女生的宿舍楼下拉小提琴，（笑声）希望能引起女生的注意，结果后来被女生扔了水瓶子。
我还记得我自身为了吸引女生的注意，每到寒假和暑假都帮着女生扛包。

我也记得刚进北大的时候我不会讲普通话，全班同学第一次开班会的时候互相介绍，我站起来自我介绍了一番，结果我们的班长站起来跟我说："俞敏洪你能不能不讲日语？"（笑声）我后来用了整整一年时间，拿着收音机在北大的树林中模仿广播台的播音，但到今天普通话还依然讲得不好。

但我的大学日常生活确实比不上电影中的人物角色那麼精彩纷呈。
为什么呢?回望我的大学日常生活，有很多的特点是大家干了之后，这一辈子都是会存有美好回忆的。

读大学最重要的是2件事，念书和把技术专业搞好。
每一个同学们在专业科目以外，读过是多少书大部分会确立你一辈子办事的专业知识基本和思索基本。
我还在北京大学念书时，均值每一年以200本的速率向前读，非常大缘故取决于是我一批尤其喜爱念书的最好的朋友。
我还在北京大学念书时的一名同学们，他们家有非常大的房屋，几百平方米的，连脚都放不进去，地面上放的都是书，足有近七万本。
刚进北京大学，我也发觉他极其喜爱读书人。
他把国家助学金一分为二，有一部分是饭费，另一半购书，始终是维持这一习惯性，始终是一边念书一边用餐，我在他的身上学得了念书的良好的习惯。

混遍北大整整七年，没有一个女人爱上我的时候，我发现我的很多同学都已经谈了好几次恋爱。
有的同学已经娶上了美丽的女人，成立了美好的家庭。
当我发现至少每个同学都拥有一个安康身体的时候，我在大学三年级的时候得了肺结核。
发现好似所有的生活黑暗和不如意都集中在你一个人身上，幸亏在这样的过程中间我始终没有放弃自己身上唯一的力量，这个力量就是我觉得只要努力，只要奋斗，只要给我足够的时间，我应该能够改变自己的命运，我应该能够让自己的生活变得更好。
而这种感觉于什么地方呢，就是于我从小在农村的那种生活，于我自己高考的启示，因为对于我来说，农村孩子长大唯一可能的归宿就是在农村。
我十四岁初中毕业，紧接着命运就对我做出了宣判，当时中国有一个政策，叫做贫下中农子女，一家只能有一个上高中，我姐上了高中，因此就轮不到我。
所以其实我在十四岁的时候就认认真真地当过一回农民，在那个时候我就料定了自己这辈子大概只能在农村待着了。
但是，老天给了我一个非常好的时机，这个时机就是“四人帮”粉碎以后，教育政策立刻就改变了。
我们的初中老师想起了我，说俞敏洪是一直喜欢读书的人，我们是不是可以把他破例地重新放到高中里面来。
我妈听说我这个事情以后就非常地兴奋，就找公社大队的领导和学校的校长去不断地说，说我儿子就是可以来的，所以我这辈子我最感谢的就是我妈。
这就是我的第一次时机，这个不是我奋斗来的，是党和国家给我的。
高中毕业的时候，其实整个班全是农民，因为我们就是农村中学，几乎没有一个人会有信心说能考上大学，但是这个时候我碰上了一个好老师。

今天，我想与大家分享的主题是“摆脱恐惧”。
恐惧是我们在生活中常常面对的一种情绪，它伴随我们成长，影响我们的决策与行动。
恐惧能够限制我们的成长与发展，阻碍我们实现梦想。
然而，我们不能让恐惧掌控我们的人生，而是应该学会去摆脱恐惧，勇敢地面对挑战。
首先，我们需要正视恐惧。
恐惧来自于我们对未知的恐惧、对失败的恐惧、对他人评价的恐惧等等。
但我们需要明白，恐惧只是一种心理上的感受，它并不能真正伤害到我们。
我们需要学会直面恐惧，探寻其真正的原因。
只有当我们正视恐惧并找到根源时，我们才能更好地解决问题，迈向成功。
其次，我们要明白恐惧来源于我们对未知的担忧。
人生充满了变数与不确定性，但这并不是一件坏事。
相反，正是这种变数与不确定性使得生活充满了挑战与机遇。
我们需要学会面对未知，勇敢地迎接挑战。
只有从未知中探索、成长，我们才能拥抱未来的可能性。
然而，不可否认的是，面对挑战时，我们常常会感到害怕失败。
我们担心失败会给我们带来痛苦与困扰。
然而，失败并不可怕。
失败是我们成长的踏脚石，是我们前进的动力。
正如世界上许多杰出的人士一样，他们都曾经历过失败与挫折，但他们并没有因此放弃，而是从失败中吸取经验教训，不断前进。
我们应该学会从失败中学习，不断调整自己的方向与策略，坚持追求梦想。
此外，我们还需要学会打破舒适区。
舒适区是指我们习惯的、安全的状态，是我们避开挑战与变化的地方。
然而，成长与进步需要我们走出舒适区，面对新的、不熟悉的环境。
我们需要敢于尝试新的事物，去挑战自己的极限。
只有经历过挑战，我们才能发现自己的潜力，迸发出更多的能量与创造力。
因此，让我们勇敢地离开舒适区，迎接新的挑战，追逐自己的梦想。
最后，我们要相信自己。
相信自己的能力与智慧，相信自己可以克服困难、战胜恐惧，实现自己的目标。

前日下午，新东方创始人俞敏洪用自己高考实战经历鼓励学子们：要学会自我鼓励。
俞敏洪坦言，从小学到大学，从未考过全班前20名，但凭借“自我鼓励”考上北大。
从33分到90分自我鼓励考上了北大很多人知道作为新东方创始人俞敏洪参加过三次高考，但曾拖后腿的竟是他现在的强项---英语。
俞敏洪说，第一次参加高考，英语只考了33分。
在复读班，英语基础差，从未得到老师的鼓励，靠强大的“自我鼓励功能”挺到最后。
第二年高考，英语成绩55分，虽比前一次有进步，但总分不高仍落榜。
在一片质疑声中，俞敏洪坚持再读一个高三。
当年暑假，俞敏洪报了一个英语补习班。
有了前两年的积累，加上最后一年的拼命用功，“高五生”俞敏洪英语得了90分，最终被北大录取。
对于学生而言，俞敏洪说：只要自己不放弃自己，任何人都打不倒你。
“没有人鼓励，就自我鼓励。
”考上大学，来自全国各地的50名精英分子编成一班，俞敏洪是其中之一。
“大学期间，我从未进入全班前40名。
但我没有因此放弃自己，一天内背不下课文，我就花一周的时间天天背，到最后可以脱口秀。
”俞敏洪说，在与同学智商相当的情况下，惟一能胜出对方的是超常的努力加毅力。
他寄语后进生：即使最后一名，也要保持一颗上进的心。
每天5分钟记单词学英语需要骆驼精神“新东方牛人多，他们中很多是海归。
论口语，我不如王强和周成刚（新东方另两位创始人），我的英语里有较明显的口音。
但我的英语词汇量是他们所不及的。
”俞敏洪说，每天不论多忙，都会抽出5分钟时间巩固词汇。
“我手机里装有英汉大词典软件。
”俞敏洪直言，自己不是天才，在脑海里库存的3万多个词汇，不是哪一天哪几个月积累下来的，而是这么多年每一天巩固的结果。
对于很多人头痛的词汇量问题，俞敏洪说没有丝毫的捷径可走。
只有和遗忘规律较劲，每天花一定量时间巩固记忆单词，让词汇在脑海里日久扎根。
俞敏洪说，很多家长在孩子的英语学习上，太注重结果，忽略了过程。

可以说中国的近代史就是由圆明园的废墟开始的历史。
圆明园是哪一年被烧掉的？大家都知道1860年英法联军。
为什么远离万里之外的英国和法国跑到我们中国这个首都之地把圆明园给烧掉？最根本的原因是什么？是因为圆明园里面有好东西吗？是因为圆明园没人保护吗？还是因为圆明园中国人民当时没有能力保护？很明显的是没有能力保护。
谁都知道，中国近100多年的发展史是一部耻辱的历史。
近30年中国改革开放的历史，是一部从耻辱中间不断地站起来的历史。
今天的中国在世界上已经有了一定的地位。
20xx年前我申请到美国去的时候，不断地被拒签，今天我们想要去美国或者西方其他国家基本上可以拿到签证，这一点表明了我们变得不断强大。
但是，站在这个地方，我们可以清楚地知道，一个国家如果很贫弱的话就会受到欺负。
这是为什么邓小平总结了一句话，非常简单的一句话，叫做发展是硬道理。
今天的中国有了一定的地位，但是依然不够强大。
我们所说的强大，不是说要能够战胜所有的国家，不是说要打到英国大英博物馆或者打到法国的卢浮宫，去把东西抢回来。
我们所说的强大，是从经济、政治、文化到精神的强大。
我们在座的每个人一辈子的历史，它可以是光荣的，也可以是耻辱的；它可以是失败的，也可以是成功的。
你想变得成功，你想变得光荣，不在于外在的任何条件，而在于你自身。
不在于说你本身现在是什么地位，而在于一辈子你到底具备什么样的梦想。
我们很多同学在一路奋斗以后，走进了北京的大学。
在座的有来自有北大、清华这样的名牌学校，也有像吉利大学这样的民办学校。

很多同学说，我现在已经比别的同学差得很远，我未来到底怎么样才能改善？我有一句话，人最重要的是志向，是内心的渴望，而不是外在的条件。
从外在条件来说，我们人一辈子，从出生的那一天开始就是不平等的，生而不平等，这是一个事实。
你出生在农民家里和出生在官宦家里的条件是不一样的，能得到的资源也是不一样的。
但是，我们人的一辈子的奋斗过程，就是不断地去使自己有能力获取更大的资源、实现更大的梦想，并且回过头来把这种资源贡献给社会的过程。
所以，当有人问我说，俞老师，我这辈子还能追上别人吗？像你这样的成就或者像你做的事情，我未来还可以做到吗？我可以肯定地告诉你：只要我能做到，你就能做到；只要李开复能做到，你就能做到；只要马云能做到，你就能做到。
因为我们这些人的起点并不比你更高，某种意义上说，甚至应该比你更低、人生一辈子不是百米赛跑，如果百米赛跑早跑一秒钟或者晚跑一秒钟，你可能就会晚到一秒钟或者早到一秒钟。
人生走的是无穷无尽的马拉松，马拉松不需要去计较你的起点是落后了还是站在第一名，马拉松计较的是你到底能够走多远，到底能够坚持走多久。
如果说你能坚持走出足够的距离，哪怕你放慢一点儿速度，只要前进的方向是清晰的，未来你就能走出别人所没有走出来的距离，你就能看到别人没有看到的风景。
我只是希望我们在座的所有同学们，不要像圆明园一样，最后自己被倒成一片废墟，而自己的生命回顾起来也是一片废墟。
我们希望的是，现在趁着我们还很年轻，趁着我们还有理想，趁着我们还有激情，就应该让生命进一步地前行，让生命进一步地发出光彩和热。
同学们，我们现在站在了新的起点上，就是我们的大学生活。
我刚才说过，如果我们大学生活要往前走的话，我们不需要太关注过去，不需要关注现在所在的大学是好还是坏，不需要关注家庭出身是农民还是工人，不需要关注长相是好看还是难看，甚至未来不需要关注你到底能够到国外去读书还是留在国内读书，因为所有这一切都是外在的东西。
外在的东西尽管在一定阶段对我们来说是很重要的，但是从长远的一辈子来说，对我们来说是不重要的。
以大学为例子，我们进了北大或者清华这样的大学固然好，但并不是每一个走进北大的学生就必然成功。
我看到了很多北大的学生，进了北大就不学习了；看到很多北大的学生，由于学习压力非常重，心理很有问题；也看到了一些北大的学生，在大学毕业以后无所事事。
当然，我想清华等这样的学校也有这样的情况。
但是我看到很多二本三本的学生，他们在经过了自己全力以赴的努力以后，研究生就考上了北大、清华或者是进入了世界名牌大学。
我认识的一个朋友，中专毕业以后，经过了一段时间的工作，他发现中专学历远远不够。
他之所以上中专，不是因为他笨，而是因为他的家庭条件实在太差。
在当时那个年代，应该是接近30年以前，上中专一般都是师范学院，而师范学院是不需要交任何费用的，所以他只能选择中专。
工作以后，发现这是远远不够的。
后来就开始努力自学，上了大专。
考上以后，他觉得大专还是不够。
现在一般来说要学到本科才能考研究生，但那时只要是大专毕业了就可以考研究生俞敏洪对大学生的励志演讲好词好句。

毕业以后，在国外工作了一段时间，刚好遇到中国政府希望到国外招聘一些在国外毕业后想回到中国工作的机会。
回来以后，很快进入了中国的厅局级管理干部的行列。

凡是想要一下子把一件事情干成的人，就算他干成这件事情，也只是空中楼阁。
只有慢慢地一步一步的打下基石，每一步都给自己一个良好的交代，这样事情才得以圆满。
当你决定了将来干什么以后，你就要坚定不移地干下去。
你可以像一条河流一样，越流越宽阔，但是千万不要再想去变成另外一条河，或者变成一座高山。
有了这样一个目标以后，你生命就不会摇晃，不会因为有某种机会，你就到处乱窜，这样你才能够做出事情。
我们未来生活的一种重要能力，叫做忍辱负重的能力。
很多社会名流会遇到很多你不能忍受的事情，但是你不得不忍受。
而你不忍受就不可能成功。
为什么，因为你不忍辱负重，你就没有时间，你就没有空间，没有走向未来的能力。
如果你想走向未来，变得更加强大、更加繁荣，你就必须要做好给自己留下足够的时间和空间。
轮到我们自己的生命，要想为一个伟大的目标而奋斗的时候，排除你生命中一切琐碎的干扰，因此你就必须忍辱负重。
无论我们是什么年龄，都会遇到一时气不过的事情。
这个世界上让你气不过的事情太多了，只有你气得过的时候，这个世界才在你面前才能展开最光辉的一面。
我有这么一个比喻，每一条河流都有自己不同的生命曲线。
长江和黄河的曲线，是绝对不一样的。
但是每一条河流都有自己的梦想，那就是奔向大海。
黄河曲折，绕过障碍；长江，冲破悬崖峭壁，用的方式是虽然是不一样，但最终都走到了大海。
一定要有水的精神。
哪怕被污染了，也能洗净自己。
像水一样，不断地积蓄自己的力量，不断地冲破障碍，当你发现时机不到的时候，把自己的厚度给积累起来，当有一天时机来临的时候，你就能够奔腾入海，成就自己的生命。

所谓伟大的人，是把一堆琐碎的事情，通过一个伟大的目标，每天积累起来以后，变成一个伟大的事业。
我的核心价值观就是，以善为生，用善良的心态来对待自己的生命和别人的生命。
有一句话叫：生命是一种过程；在这个过程之中，我们要有足够大的胸怀去沉淀一切不如意，安宁的心态，让生命过得平静。
当五个手指头伸出来的时候，它是五个手指头，但是当你把五个手指头握起来的时候，它是一个拳头。
