1I Had a Really Busy Weekend! This past weekend was super packed with activities and fun! I had so much going on that by the time Sunday night rolled around, I was completely tuckered out. Let me tell you all about my jam-packed couple of days.It all started on Saturday morning bright and early. My mom woke me up at 7am, which is pretty early for a weekend if you ask me. But I didn't mind too much because we were going on a family hiking trip! We packed up a cooler with lunch, snacks, and plenty of water bottles. We loaded everything into the car and hit the road. After about an hour drive, we arrived at the state park. The trails were beautiful, winding through the woods with lots of trees, bushes, and even a few streams to cross. My little sister complained a bit because the hike was kind of long for her little legs. But I loved every minute of being out in nature breathing the fresh air. We stopped halfway for a picnic lunch, which tastedextra yummy after working up an appetite. By the time we made it back to the car, we had hiked over 5 miles! I was beat but felt so accomplished. We didn't go straight home after the hike though. Instead, we met up with my aunt, uncle, and cousins at a pizza place downtown for an early dinner. I always love seeing my cousins. We get along really well and have a blast together. While the grown-ups chatted, us kids played games and joked around after devouring several piping hot cheesy pizzas. I don't think I've ever eaten so much pizza in my life! Finally, we arrived back home around 7pm feeling contentedly tired from our active day. I couldn't wait to just veg out and relax. Or so I thought! As soon as we walked in the door, my dad reminded me that I had homework to finish before the new week. I had been procrastinating a bit on my big research project that was due on Monday. Yikes! So I spent a couple hours that night typing away and putting the finishing touches on my report about earthquakes. Phew, I was relieved to get that taken care of instead of stressing about it the next day.I crashed into bed exhausted that night and slept like a rock.I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to take on Sunday. My friend's birthday party was that afternoon and I had been lookingforward to it for weeks. Before the party though, my family went to church in the morning like we do every Sunday. Sitting through the service helped me re-charge a bit for the rest of the day. Then it was present time! I picked out a slick new basketball to give my friend since we both love shooting hoops together. The party was at a bowling alley which was pretty awesome. In between turns bowling, they had an awesome spread of food like pizza, chicken nuggets, and even a decadent ice cream sundae bar. Despite eating such an enormous amount of junk food, I still had room to scarf down two big slices and a massive banana split sundae. The final scores were close, but I ultimately bowled the highest game out of all my friends! What a nice way to cap off the birthday celebration. After the party, my parents took me and my sister over to our grandparents' house for the rest of the evening. It's always fun visiting with them and hearing their awesome stories from when they were young. They have so much wisdom to share. We played a board game together and just enjoyed each other's company. My grandma even packed me a tin of her famous chocolate chip cookies to take home. Nobody makes them quite like she does! Before I knew it, it was already time for bed again. I jumped into my PJs and basically passed out on the couch completely worn out from my extraordinarily active weekend. I felt like I had crammed a month's worth of activities into just two days! Even though I was utterly exhausted, I also felt satisfied looking back at all the fun experiences I had gotten to enjoy.Summer weekends were always the most laid-back and relaxing when I was a kid. But every once in a while, you get one of those weekends that is just non-stop from start to finish. I love those fun-filled times when you make so many wonderful memories. While part of me looked forward to resting up during the school week, an even bigger part couldn't wait for my next chance to live it up on the weekend! Being a busy kid sure is tiring but also incredibly fun.篇2I Had a Really Busy WeekendThis past weekend was so jam-packed with activities that I'm still recovering from it all! I had soccer games, a birthday party, chores to do around the house, and even a family outing. Whew, just thinking about it makes me tired again. Let me tell you all about my super busy weekend. On Saturday morning, I had my weekly soccer game bright and early at 8am. Our team, the Red Rockets, was taking on our biggest rivals, the Green Goblins. Those Goblins always play so rough and try all kinds of tricks to throw us off our game. But not this time! We were ready for them. The game started off with both teams battling hard in the middle of the field. Nobody could get near either goal for what felt like forever. Finally, my teammate Jessica broke through and kicked the ball right between the Goblin goalkeeper's legs! Score one for the Rockets! That got us so fired up. We kept the pressure on and ended up winning 3-1. Take that, you sneaky Goblins! After the game, we had just enough time to rush home, shower off, and get ready for Tyler's 9th birthday party at Grand Slam Fun Park. Can you believe Tyler is 9 already? It feels like just yesterday we were babies together in pre-school. Time goes by so fast! The party was a blast. Grand Slam Fun Park has literally every game and activity you could ever want. We ran around playing laser tag, whirling around on crazy go-kart tracks, batting in the baseball cages, and bouncing our faces off on the huuuugetrampolines. I was bouncing so high I thought I might make it to the roof a few times!Of course, no party is complete without cake and presents. Tyler's cake this year was a giant chocolate and vanilla swirl cake in the shape of a baseball field. It looked amazing...and tasted even better! I think I had three slices. For Tyler's present, I got him a new video game that just came out. He's gonna love battling alien zombie robots and saving the galaxy! After the party, we headed back home for the most dreadful part of the weekend - chores. My mom is so strict about me doing my chores before I can do anything else fun. It's the worst!I had to clean my horrifyingly messy room, do the dishes, take out the trash, and a bunch of other boring stuff. Chores are my nemesis!I thought I was done after that, but my dad had another surprise activity planned - a family hike at Rocky Ridge Trail! Normally I'd complain about having to go on a hike, but the views at Rocky Ridge are just breathtaking. We could see for miles and miles over the greenest trees, babbling brooks, and massive cliffs. It was gorgeous!About halfway through the hike, we stopped at Johnson Creek to go swimming in the refreshing cool water. Sliding intothat creek after being hot and sweaty was heaven. My little brother and I had a splashing contest to see who could get each other more drenched. Good thing mom packed extra towels! After our awesome hike and swim, we had a picnic lunch of crisp fried chicken, creamy coleslaw, grandma's famous potato salad, and ice-cold lemonade. I stuffed myself like a thanksgiving turkey. We all just laid out on our blankets, looked up at the bright blue sky, and enjoyed the peaceful quiet of nature. Finally, we dragged our exhausted bodies back home, ate a small dinner, watched a short movie, and crashed into our beds. What an action-packed weekend! I loved getting to fit in sports, a party, nature, food, and time with my favorite people. But I also can't wait for the nice, normal, relaxing weekends where I have no agenda at all. Those are wonderfully boring in the best way possible. That was my crazy weekend in a nutshell. I'm sure yours are just as jam-packed and fun nowadays too. Us kids really know how to go, go, go from morning until night. For now, I'm gonna rest up and prep for another fabulous, memory-making weekend coming up!篇3My Crazy Busy WeekendBoy, did I have a super busy weekend! It was just jam-packed with all sorts of activities and fun. I can hardly remember everything that happened, but I'll try my best to tell you all about it.It all started on Friday after school. Instead of just going home and playing video games like I usually do, my mom said we needed to get ready because we were going to my aunt and uncle's house for the weekend. They live a couple of hours away, so we had to pack our bags and get in the car for a little road trip. The drive felt like it took forever! My little brother Matt wouldn't stop kicking the back of my seat and asking "Are we there yet?" like a million times. Finally, we made it and I was so excited to see my cousins Sarah and Emma. They're pretty much my best friends in the whole world. As soon as we got there, we ran outside to play. We spent hours just running around in their huge backyard, playing tag and hide-and-seek. We also jumped on the trampoline until we were dizzy! My aunt made us come inside when it started getting dark so we could eat dinner. After dinner, we went upstairs to Sarah and Emma's room and played a bunch of different board games like Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders. We made sooooo much noise, with all of us yelling and laughing really loud. I'm pretty sure the neighbors could hear us from miles away! We didn't care though, we were just having a total blast.Eventually, my aunt came upstairs and said it was time for us to get ready for bed. I thought that meant the fun was over for the night, but boy was I wrong! Instead of actually going to sleep, we decided to have a crazy slumber party. We built a big fort out of blankets and pillows, and stayed up telling spooky stories and munching on snacks like chips and cookies. We tried our best to stay quiet so the grown-ups wouldn't catch us, but we definitely couldn't stop giggling the whole time.I'm not sure what time we finally fell asleep, but I know it was waaaaay past our normal bedtimes. We must have been extra tired though, because the next morning we all slept in until like 10 o'clock! When we finally woke up, we were starving. We ran downstairs to the kitchen, where my aunt had made a huge breakfast with pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. My favorite! After cleaning our plates (and going back for seconds...and thirds...), we spent most of Saturday just relaxing and hanging out at my aunt and uncle's house. We played some more games, watched movies, and even did a little baking. Sarah, Emma and I tried to make brownies all by ourselves, but they turned out pretty much inedible. I'm not sure what we did wrong, but they tasted like harmless! Thank goodness we had the ingredients to try again. Our second attempt at brownies was much better, thankfully. While they cooled off, we went outside and played some more. We had a big soccer game going, but then switched to basketball for a while. We spent a lot of time just being creative and using our imaginations too. At one point, we prended we were explorers trekking through a dense jungle (which was really just my aunt's flower garden). Before we knew it, it was time for dinner again. We were all starving after running around outside all day! We had pizza delivered, which was awesome. Although to be honest, I was even more excited about devouring those brownies we made for dessert. They may not have looked perfect, but they were still delicious.Once our bellies were full, we spent the rest of the night just hanging out and watching more movies together. We had such an awesome time just laughing together and cracking silly jokes. Even though I was surrounded by family, it felt like the ultimate sleepover with my best friends. When it was finally time for bed, I could barely keep my eyes open. I was exhausted from how incredibly fun and busy our weekend had been so far. I could hardly believe we still had one more day left before going back home!We woke up early on Sunday morning to get ready for church. I'll admit, sitting through the whole service was pretty hard after such a jam-packed couple of days. I could hardly stay awake! But I managed to save up just enough energy for one last fun activity before heading home - we went to a water park! You should have seen us on those waterslides - we were spinning and twisting every which way. We went on the lazy river too, where we could just float along and relax a little bit. Or at least we relaxed until Sarah splashed me right in the face and started an all-out water war! We spent hours playing around, having a blast making memories together. At long last, it was time to leave and start the drive back home. As we waved goodbye to my aunt, uncle, and cousins, Ifelt so sad that such an amazing weekend had come to an end. Between all the games, movies, baking, sports, and waterpark adventures, it had been one of the craziest and most fun-filled weekends ever! A part of me wished it could just last forever. But as exhausted as I felt, I also couldn't wait to get home and tell my friends all about everything we did. I could already imagine how jealous they'd be when they heard about all the excitement. They'd probably beg their parents to let them come along next time!Oh well, maybe next weekend would be a little more low-key and relaxing. Although to be honest, part of me was already looking forward to the next big adventure and memory-making opportunity. This weekend had been such a blast from start to finish, despite being a total whirlwind of activities. If every weekend could be that fun and jam-packed, I'd be the happiest kid alive! I guess there's just one thing left to say - what an awesome way to spend a few days. I'm already counting down the days until the next big weekend bash!。
