Life is a GiftTHE WORLD keeps changing. There is so much uncertainty at the moment that people are having difficulty trying to make sense of it all. And yet, human beings have always been able to see the light which shines t the darkness.I think that message of hope e the success of the recent movie, A Little Red Flower. The movie tells the story of two young people who are being t for brain cancer. Wei Yihang, the boy, has a d view of the future. He thinks that life is meaningless. Ma Xiaoyuan, the girl, is quite the o . She believes that everyone should enjoy the simple beauty of life. As the two become close, Wei opens up and b to embrace life. To “mark” this change, Ma draws a little red flower on Wei’s hand. It is a symbol that life is beautiful. The story looks into questions that all of us are l to face at some point in our lives: Can I find love? Can I find a place in society? Is it worth the hard work when success is not guaranteed (担保)? All of these questions have the same answer: “Yes!”For you, these questions may seem new, but they are as old as time. Chinese philosophers (哲学家), like Lao Tzu (老子), said that happiness comes from living in harmony with nature and with one another. They suggest people accept the good as well as the b things in life. Some philosophers in the West have offered similar suggestions. There are surely things you can’t change, but there are also things that you can change. In A Little Red Flower, Wei once wants to give up on life. Ma, however, sees life as a gift, even if it may not last for long. She chooses to lead a meaningful life, passing her kindness and warmth on to others.A little red flower does not last forever , h while there is one, we should learn to enjoy its beauty. Margaret Zhang Is Now in V ogueIT’S HARD TO imagine that Margaret Zhang, after being in the spotlight for more than 10 years, is just 28 years old. Some teachers think punishing students is the most effective way for them to learn their lessons. O 2 choose a more moderate (温和的) way, like a face-to-face talk. I definitely support the latter. In my opinion, teachers shouldn’t punish students. Punishment, especially physical punishment, will harm the students mentally. The students are likely to feel very ashamed. Their confidence may get damaged as a result. They may end up locking t 3 up and refusing to communicate with even their best friends. In such a situation, it will be very difficult to encourage them to open up again.Furthermore, punishment is likely to cause additional misunderstandings between the teacher and the student. For example, my cousin once disturbed his teacher in class by talking to another student. The teacher only punished him i 4 of both of them. He believed the teacher to be partial (偏袒的) towards students with better academic p 5 . Consequently, he started to dislike this teacher. To help students learn lessons from their mistakes, there are many better methods for teachersto use than punishment. Here are some suggestions:① Both the student and the teacher should calm down and then discuss the problem together.① The teacher should give the student a chance to e 6 his or her thoughts on the problem. In this way, the student may also be more willing to follow the teacher’s advice.① The teacher and the student can reach an a 7 . For example, if the student promises not to make the same mistake again, the teacher can promise him or her a reward. The year 2020 has finally ended. It left us with many bad memories. While many students were shocked at his s 1 , I would like to advocate (支持) this idea.In my opinion, health is the most important thing in the world. It is the cornerstone (基石) of many other things, like fame and fortune. However, due to heavy academic burdens (负担), many students are not paying e 2 attention to physical exercise. As a result, some of them are now suffering from obesity (肥胖), and some have become physically weak.So it is i 3 to get students out of their classrooms and into the playground. Given that many students nowadays are not keen to engage in (参加) o 4 activities, I think the first and foremost thing is to inspire students to love sports. There are possibly three ways to achieve this target. Firstly, the Ministry of Education could encourage innovation (创新) in how P.E. is being taught and tested. This may help students understand that P.E. is not always tiring and boring. Secondly, schools should try to find out students’ favorite sporting events and theno 5 their students more chances to get involved in (参加) these sports. Students may end up falling in love with P.E. if they are given the time they need to continuously i 6 their skills in their favorite sports. Finally, P.E. teachers may communicate more often with the parents of their students about the importance of engaging in physical activities. If parents no longer neglect P.E. classes, teachers will receive more support. In conclusion, good h 7 is very important. We must pay more attention to P.E. and spend more of our time exercising.1._________2. _________3. _________4. ________5.__________6. _________7. _________第八篇Life Is a GiftTHE WORLD keeps changing. There is so much uncertainty at the moment that people are having difficulty trying to make sense of it all. And yet, human beings have always been able tosee the light which shinest 1 the darkness.I think that message of hope explains the success of the recent movie, A Little Red Flower. The movie tells the story of two young people who are being treated for brain cancer. Wei Yihang, the boy, has a dark view of the future. He thinks that life is meaningless. Ma Xiaoyuan, the girl, is quite the opposite. She believes thate 2 should enjoy the simple beauty of life. As the two become close, Wei opens up and begins to embrace life. To “mark” this change, Ma draws a little red flower on Wei’s hand. It is a s 3 that life is beautiful. The story looks into questions that all of us are likely to face at some point in our lives: Can I find love? Can I find a place in society? Is it worth the hard work when s 4 is not guaranteed (担保)? All of these questions have the same a 5 : “Yes!”For you, these questions may seem new, but they are as old as time. Chinese philosophers (哲学家), like Lao Tzu (老子), said that happiness comes from living in harmony with nature and with one another. They suggest people accept the good as w 6 as the bad things in life. Some philosophers in the West have offered similar suggestions. There are surely things you can’t change, but there are also things that you can change. In A Little Red Flower, Wei once wants to give up on life. Ma, h 7 , sees life as a gift, even if it may not last for long. She chooses to lead a meaningful life, passing her kindness and warmth on to others.A little red flower does not last forever. However, while there is one, we should learn to enjoy its beauty.1._________2. _________3. _________4. ________5.__________6. _________7. _________第九篇Flying Cars One Step CloserIn some movies about the future, people travel around in flying cars. With a pilot on board, the car was flown around for four minutes. The SD-03 is powered by batteries. Its eight motors lift it straight off the ground. Since they don’t use runways, flying cars need to be able to take off and land by going straight up and straight down. Many companies around the world are d____2____ flying cars. They hope that in the future, flying cars will be useful for short trips like taxi rides in cities. These cars could also save time in emergencies (突发事件) and help reach places that can’t be reached by road.A____3____ the SD-03’s test flight was successful, we may not see flying cars in our daily lives anytime soon. There are still many c____4____ in the way. Safety is a big problem. What happens when a motor fails? If a flying car is crossing a city, an accident could hurt not just the people in the car but also people on the ground. That’s why the SD-03 has eight motors —some are backups. Flying cars are also very expensive. The SD-03, for example, is e____5____d to sell for up to $500,000.Yet people who believe in flying cars point out that cars and airplanes faced lots of challenges at first, too. Over time, many of their biggest problems were s___6____.
Some people might to choose to live in a sleepy village beside woods and lakes, but others enjoy the bright lights and fast pace of the big city. Stephen and Marianna have got different stories.
如:save the money(2008年中考),have an interesting talk with(2007年中考),a few year ago(2006年中考)等。
They don’t think 13 is a lucky number. For example, they don’t like to live on the thirteenth floor。
Some people say that reading is out of date. This is not true.....Reading is hardly out of date。
I live here with my husband Joe and our two children, Patrick, 11, and Abby, 8.3.
如2008中考题:We feel isolated(孤立的)sometimes, too, especially since the nearest neighbors are almost 100 km away.
再如2007中考题中they have chemicals which will make it difficult for you to sleep. 这里用到了句型sth. make it adj. for sb. to do sth.
However, if you have to get up and turn off the recorder when the music finishes, it won’t work.
Of course, London, like any large city, has problems, too. This added about an hour to my journey, soI was not happy.
1.ago;2.added;3.everything;4.face;5.also;6.know;7.where;8.world;Step 4
