Q: What does the woman say about Jane? [D]

M: Yeah?
W: Charles Nelson, a room for one for the 19th...

M: Hey, isn’t the breakfast free anyway?
W: Well, only on weekends.
M: I want to talk to the manager.

News Report One
A message in a bottle sent out to sea by a New Hampshire man more than five
decades ago was found 1500 miles away and he’s been returned to his daughter. The
long lost message was discovered by Clint Buffington of Utah while he was
vacationing. Buffington says he found a soda bottle half-buried in the sand that
looked like it had been there since the beginning of time.
The note inside the bottle said, "Return to 419 Ocean Street and receive a
reward of $150 from Richard and Tina Pierce, owners of the beach Comber motel.
The motel was owned by the Paula Pierce in 1960. Her father had written the
notes as a joke and had thrown it into the Atlantic Ocean. Buffington flew to New
Hampshire to deliver that message to Pola Pierce. She held up to her father's promise

Part I Writing
Dear My Parents,
I would like to convey in this letter my heartfelt thanks to you. Without your support and
encouragement, I wouldn’t have won the second prize in the National Mathematical Contest in
Modeling.
First of all, you inspired me to participate in the contest and gave me the confidence that I
could achieve a good result if I worked hard enough. In addition, you spent large sums of money
on prestigious mathematical modeling teachers to help me with methods of mathematical
modeling, thesis writing and computer programming, which laid a solid foundation for my
outstanding performance in the contest. Finally, it is also worth mentioning that when I was
downhearted in the face of difficulties and setbacks during the contest, it was you who raised me
up to press forward.
