• • 2014年托福早上8点半到场，9点开考。 阅读一般是3篇文章，每篇文章14道题，答题时间为每篇文章20分钟。做 完3篇文章后，可能会遇到加试的2篇文章，每篇文章也是14道题，答题时间 也是每篇20分钟。所以，阅读部分在没有遇到加试时应该是1个小时，如果遇 到加试，阅读部分是1个小时40分钟。 听力是一般是两个部分，每个部分由一段对话和两个讲座，每个部分需 要听的录音大约是20分钟，答题时间是10分钟，这样每个部分需要30分钟。 如果遇到加试，加试的一个部分也是由一段对话和两个讲座组成，需要30分 钟。所以，听力在没有加试的情况下是1个小时，如果遇到加试，听力是1个 半小时。 所以，阅读和听力总的时间是2个小时30分钟，或者2个小时40分钟。 口语和作文的时间是固定的，口语是20分钟，作文是50分钟。 阅读听力结束后，有10分钟休息时间。算下来，托福考试应该是3个小时 40分钟，或者3个小时50分钟。需要看你遇到的是阅读加试还是听力加试。 考试进行中不能上厕所，10分钟休息的时候可以去。所以，考试当天早 上不要喝太多水哦。 可见，托福考试时间接近4个小时，对考生的精神和体力也是一种考察， 在备考的过程不仅在注意知识的备考，更要在身体在精神上做好准备。

2 什么是托福？
• TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language • 由ETS举办的英语能力考试，全名为“检定非英语为母语
者的英语能力考试”，中文音译为“托福”。

美国教育考试服务中心（Educational Testing Service，简称ETS） 成立于1947年，是由美国教育委员会（American Council on Education)、卡内基教学进步基金会（The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching）和大学入学考试 局（The College Entrance Examination Board）共同在美国注册 的非营利组织。ETS的最初目标是为上述三个创建组织举办考 试，并进行提升教育测评水平的相关研究。
