介绍地方英语作文篇1:长城My favourate placeMy favourate place is the Great Wall. It is more than ten thousand kilometers, like a long dragon flying among the mountains, which is the most famous interest of China. It is a symbol of Chinese civilization, has been playing an important role in the history and culture of China. When i saw the Great Wall for the first time,i was shocked by its view.I like the Great Wall, it is my favourate place.介绍地方英语作文篇2:西安The Famous Place I Like to VisitDifferent people might choose to visit different places due to their different places of birth, family conditions, relevant experiences, and even different levels of education. People who were born in New York are less likely to be interested in New York any more for the simple reason that everything is just too familiar already. Children from less well-off families might find it difficult to afford a visit to a faraway place. Those who have been working in Tokyo for years are surely looking forward to touring around places out of town. Places with numerous sites of historical interest may not be so appealing to people with only a primary school education. Things are just like this in our real life. With all aspects considered, the most desirable place that I can think of going to at present is Xi’an in China for the simple reason that I have never been yet. Firstly, I would like to visit places where I have never been to. Xi’an, as a famous city with profound historical and cultural significance in China, enjoys a history that can be dated back to several thousand years ago. From the first dynasty when China became a unified country, namely the Qin Dynasty, this place was the capital of successive dynasties, thus it has many a site of historical and cultural heritage. As the saying goes: If you want to acquire a sense of history about China, visit Xi’an. A visit to these heritages, I am sure, will let me learn about what China was like in the past and how people lived at ancient times. I’ve long heard of the famous Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses of the First Emperor—Qin Shihuang, and have seen relevant pictures of it: really grand and exquisite, next to none in the world. However, I have never seen it on site with my own eyes, which could be a kind of regret. Therefore, I want to have this dream of mine realized at the earliest possible time. Secondly, I would like to try the local delicacies of Xi’an. I was long told about the unique flavor of the local cuisine there, which is so different from the food cooked in my hometown. Moreover, many people who were back from Xi’an are commenting so much favorably on the food there and are actually making no effort to hide their liking of certain dishes, giving me the impression that it would be a regret-whole-life thing if one does not try them in person. So on and so forth, this makes another reason which urges me to go to Xi’an for a visit. Of course, there are countless places that I have never been to, both at home and abroad: Sichuan, Chongqing, Xijiang, Tibet, Paris, Berlin, to name just a few. I know to the best of my knowledge that they all have their distinct features which hold so much attraction to me and I will definitely visit all of them when conditions allow. However, for the time being, I just want to go to Xi’an. Above are two main reasons for me to have decided to visit Xi’an. Whatever others may think, for me alone, they do make sense.以上便是我选择去西安游览的两个主要原因,不管别人会怎么想,最起码,我就是这样认为的.介绍地方英语作文篇3:天安门Today, i experienced the most irritating traffic jam ever in my life. My father was driving me to watch a movie with my friends from high school, who I have not seen since graduation. I was hoping to have a wonderful re-union with them. However, our car was stuck in the middle of **** road because two drivers were fighting and their cars blocked the way. No one was able to persuade them to quit quarreling. I could not stand the situation anymore: I stepped out the car and disputed with those two men. It did not work out the way I had expected. The voices of the two men were so loud that even local policeman had to drive by. The policeman calmed down the two drivers and strived his best to dissolve the situation. With such exertions, the policeman finally made the road clean and the traffic started to move on afterward. As a result of one hour traffic jam, I missed the entire movie and apologized to my friends.Tian'anmen (the Gate of Heavenly Peace), is located in the center of Beijing. It was first built in 1417 and named Chengtianmen (the Gate of Heavenly Succession). At the end of the Ming Dynasty, it was seriously damaged by war. When it was rebuilt under the Qing in 1651, it was renamed Tian'anmen, and served as the main entrance to the Imperial City, the administrative and residential quarters for court officials and retainers. The southern sections of the Imperial City wall still stand on both sides of the Gate. The tower at the top of the gate is nine-room wide and five –room deep. According to the Book of Changes, the two numbers nine and five, when combined, symbolize the supreme status of a sovereign. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Tian'anmen was the place where state ceremonies took place. The most important one of them was the issuing of imperial edicts, which followed these steps:1) The Minister of Rites would receive the edict in Taihedian (Hall of Supreme Harmony), where the Emperor was holding his court. The minister would then carry the decree on a yunpan (tray of cloud), and withdraw from the hall via Taihemen (Gate of supreme Harmony)2) The Minister would put the tray in a miniature longting (dragon pavilion). Beneath a yellow umbrella and carry it via Wumen (Meridian Gate), to Tian'anmen Gate tower. 3) A courtier would be invested to proclaim the edict. The civil and military officials lining both sides of the gateway beneath the tower would prostrate themselves in the direction of the emperor in waiting for the decree to the proclaimed.4) The courtier would then put the edict in a phoenix-shaped wooden box and lower it from the tower by means of a silk cord. The document would finally be carried in a similar tray of cloud under a yellow umbrella to the Ministry of Rites.5) The edict, copied on yellow pa-pe-r, would be made known to the whole country. Such a procewas historically recorded as " Imperial Edict Issued by Golden Phoenix". During the Ming and Qing dynasties Tian'anmen was the most important passage. It was this gate that the Emperor and his retinue would go through on their way to the altars for ritual and religious activities. On the Westside of Tian'anmen stands ZhongshanPark (Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Park), and on the east side, the Working People's Cultural Palace. The Park was formerly called Shejitan (Altar of Land and Grain), built in 1420 for offering sacrificial items to the God of Land. It was opened to the public as a park in 1914 and its name was changed in 1928 to the present one in memory of the great pioneer of the Chinese Democratic Revolution. TheWorking People's Cultural Palace used to be Taimiao (the Supreme Ancestral Temple), where tablets of the deceased dynastic rulers were kept. The stream in front of Tian'anmen is called Waijinshuihe (Outer Golden River), with seven marble bridges spanning over it . Of these seven bridges, historical records say the middle one was for the exclusive use of the emperor and was accordingly called Yuluqiao (Imperial Bridge). The bridges flanking it on either side were meant for the members of the royal family and were therefore called Wanggongqiao (Royal's Bridges). Farther away on each side of the two were bridges for officials ranking above the third order and were named Pinjiqiao (ministerial Bridges). The remaining two bridges were for the use by the retinue below the third order and were called Gongshengqiao (common Bridges). They are the one in front of the Supreme Ancestral Temple to the east and the one in front of the Altar of land and Grain to the west.【介绍地方的英语作文范文】。

A place so beautiful and magical that you never want to leave? Well, for me, that special place is the woods behind my house. Let me tell you all about my favorite spot in the whole wide world! As soon as you step onto the narrow dirt path leading into the woods, it's like entering a whole new universe. Tall trees tower over you, their leafy branches stretching up to the sky. Theair smells so fresh and earthy. I love taking a deep breath and filling my lungs with that wonderful woodsy scent. All around, the ground is covered in a thick blanket of fallen leaves, twigs, and pine needles. They crunch beneath my feet as I walk further into the forest. The path winds and curves, leading me deeper under the shady canopy of green. Little sunbeams peek through the trees, making patterns of light and shadow dance across the forest floor.Sometimes, I'll see a fuzzy little chipmunk scampering by or squirrels leaping from branch to branch, chattering loudly. If I'm really still and quiet, I might spot a deer grazing on plants or a rabbit hopping along. The woods are just alive with all kinds of amazing critters! I always make sure to be very gentle and not disturb their natural home.My favorite spot is a little clearing not too far from the path. It's a perfect circle of soft, bright green moss surrounded by trees.A few boulders jut out from the mossy ground, great for sitting or climbing on. Best of all, a little stream runs right through the middle of the clearing! The water babbles and gurgles so beautifully as it flows over the rocks. I love dipping my hands into the cool, clear stream. Sometimes, little fish or tadpoles dart away from my fingers. In the spring, the clearing is simply stunning! Colorful wildflowers bloom all around, like nature's very own paintbrush decorated the forest floor. Yellow daffodils, purple violets, white bloodroot - their sweet fragrances fill the air. New green leaves start unfurling on the trees, making everything look so fresh and alive after the long winter. On hot summer days, it's nice and shady in my special clearing. The trees are bare, their dark branches stretching up like lacy patterns against the pale sky. Bright white snow blankets theground, making everything look so clean and pure. Icicles sparkle like jewels from the tree branches. Everything is so still and quiet, like the forest is sleeping and waiting for spring to arrive again. I love leaving the first set of footprints in the fresh, untouched snow.No matter what time of year, I always feel so happy and at peace in the woods. All my worries and troubles just melt away when I'm surrounded by all that beautiful nature. My clearing is honestly the most magical, wonderful place in the entire universe. A place where the air smells like honey and freshly cut grass, and the sound of chirping birds fills your ears? Well, let me tell you about the most magical place on Earth – my grandpa's farm!As soon as we turn onto the long, winding dirt road that leads to the farm, my heart starts racing with excitement. The trees seem to dance in the gentle breeze, welcoming us into their enchanted world. I can't help but press my face against the car window, trying to catch a glimpse of the farm through the thick foliage. Finally, we arrive, and the first thing that greets us is the most adorable little red barn you've ever seen. It's like something straight out of a storybook, with its weathered wood and rusty hinges. But that's just the beginning of the wonders that await! As we step out of the car, we're immediately surrounded by a symphony of animal sounds. The clucking of chickens, the bleating of goats, and the gentle mooing of cows create a melody that's music to my ears. It's like they're all singing a happy song to welcome us to their home.Grandpa's farm is a sprawling wonderland, with acres upon acres of lush green fields and vibrant gardens. The air is so freshand clean, it feels like you're breathing in pure happiness. And everywhere you look, there are colorful flowers blooming, their petals dancing in the breeze like tiny ballerinas. But the real magic happens when we venture into the orchard. It's like stepping into a secret garden, with rows and rows of apple, pear, and cherry trees. The branches are heavy with ripe, juicy fruits, just waiting to be plucked and savored. And the sweet, tangy scent that surrounds us is enough to make your mouth water. As we wander through the orchard, Grandpa regales us with stories of his childhood on the farm. He tells us about climbing the tallest trees and racing through the fields with his siblings. It's like we're transported back in time, and for a moment, we can almost see the young, mischievous Grandpa running and playing among the trees. After our adventure in the orchard, we make our way to the barn, where the real fun begins. Grandpa lets us help feed the animals, and I swear, those cows and goats are the happiest creatures on the planet. They nuzzle our hands, seeking out treats and affection, and their big, friendly eyes seem to say, "Thank you for visiting our magical home."As the day draws to a close, we gather around the fire pit in the backyard, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories under the twinkling stars. The crickets sing their evening song, and the warm glow of the flames casts a cozy, magical spell over the whole scene. And as I drift off to sleep that night, snuggled in the cozy guest room that smells like fresh-baked cookies, I can't help but feel grateful for this little slice of heaven on Earth. Grandpa's farm is more than just a place; it's a magical wonderland where dreams come true and memories are made. And I can't wait to come back and experience the magic all over again.篇4The Magic of My Grandparents' FarmDo you know what my favorite place in the whole world is? It's my grandparents' farm! It's the most magical place you could ever imagine. As soon as I step out of the car, I'm hit with the sweet smells of fresh hay and blooming flowers. The air is so crisp and clean, nothing like the city air back home. I take a deep breath and feel totally relaxed. This place is my happy escape from the busy world!Their farm is huge, with wide open fields that seem to stretch on forever. The grass is the greenest green, like a plush carpet begging you to run and roll around on it. Tucked in the back corners are groves of fruit trees - apples, pears, peaches, and more. In the spring, they explode with beautiful pink and white blossoms. It's like walking through a fairy tale! The best part, though, has to be the barn. It's this gigantic red barn that looks almost too perfect to be real. The wood is weathered but sturdy, and the metal roof gleams in the sunlight.I love the smell inside - a mix of hay, animal feed, and who knows what else. It's a scent that's imbedded in my memories forever!Inside the barn, the fun really begins. That's where all my grandparents' animals live - cows, horses, sheep, goats, chickens, and more. The cows are my favorite. Their big brown eyes and slow blinks make them look like sweet, docile giants. But my grandpa always warns me that they can be ornerier than they seem! He tells me stories about cows kicking over milking buckets or breaking out of the fences to go wandering. Grandma just laughs and says he's exaggerating as usual. Then there are the horses - tall, graceful creatures with silky manes and tails. They seem so powerful, but also incredibly gentle. I'm still just a beginner at riding, but my grandparents areteaching me little by little. It's challenging but amazing to build that connection with such a magnificent animal. The sheep, goats, and chickens are the funniest to watch. The sheep always seem a bit confused, like they're not sure why they're here. The goats are crazy - they'll chew on anything and everything, including clothes right off your back if you're not careful! And the chickens are just endless entertainment, clucking and pecking around. Grandma gathers their eggs every morning for our breakfast.Speaking of breakfast, no description of the farm could be complete without mentioning my grandma's famous farm fresh meals! The eggs, the sausages and bacon, the fresh baked bread...my mouth waters just thinking about it. And then there are the pies - towering, delectable pies piled high with fruit plucked straight from the trees outside. Cherry, apple, blueberry, you name it, my grandma can bake it to perfection. After breakfast, it's time to go exploring around the property.I love wandering through the trees and bushes, seeing what new plants and critters I can discover. Sometimes I'll spot a rabbit or a fox darting off into the brush. Bluejays call out with their distinctive cries and brilliant feathers flash in the sunlight. If I'mreally lucky, I might even stumble across a deer way off in the distance. I try to be quiet as a mouse so I don't scare it away. The coolest place of all might be the creek that winds behind the barn. It's shallow enough to wade in, and the water is pure and refreshing. Smooth rocks and colorful pebbles line the bottom, and little fish and tadpoles dart away whenever I get too close. Grandpa taught me how to catch crayfish with my bare hands under the submerged logs and rocks. We've had more than a few muddy battles trying to wrangle those feisty critters! As the days go by, fresh freckles always seem to magically appear on my nose and cheeks from all my time in the sun. My skin gets a healthy, rosy glow. And my muscles get stronger and stronger from all the outdoor adventures and hard work. By the end of my time at the farm, I'm inevitably stronger, happier, and more relaxed than when I first arrived.篇5Introductory Paragraph:Have you ever been to a place that feels like magic? A place where the air smells like adventure and the trees whisper secrets of the past? That's how I feel about the enchanted forest near my home. It's a world unto itself, filled with wonders that spark theimagination of every child who wanders beneath its emerald canopy. Let me take you on a journey through this natural wonderland and share the sights, sounds, and smells that make it so special to me.Concluding Paragraph:The enchanted forest is a treasure trove of memories and magic for me. Every twist and turn of its winding paths holds a new surprise – a family of deer grazing peacefully, a babbling brook singing its gentle melody, or a carpet of wildflowers painting the earth in a rainbow of colors. It's a place where I can let my imagination run wild, where I can be a brave explorer or a mighty knight on a quest for adventure. Even as I grow older, I know I'll always carry a piece of this enchanted realm in my heart, a reminder to never lose that sense of wonder and curiosity that makes childhood so special. The forest has been my playground, my sanctuary, and my greatest teacher, showing me the beauty and mysteries that nature has to offer. And who knows? Maybe one day, I'll share its magic with my own children, passing on the legacy of this extraordinary place for generations to come.篇6The Magical ForestHave you ever been to a place that felt like a fairytale? A place so enchanting and beautiful that it seemed like it couldn't be real? Well, let me tell you about the most magical forest I've ever visited! It all started on a sunny Saturday morning. My parents told me we were going on a little adventure, and I was so excited! We packed our backpacks with snacks and water bottles, and off we went. After driving for what felt like forever (but was probably just an hour or two), we finally arrived at the trailhead. As we stepped out of the car, the fresh, earthy scent of the forest greeted us. I took a deep breath and immediately felt a sense of peace wash over me. The sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling in the gentle breeze filled the air. It was like nature's own symphony, inviting us to join in the melody. We started our hike, and with every step, the forest seemed to come alive around us. Tall trees towered above us, their branches reaching towards the sky like giant arms embracing the sun. The path was lined with vibrant wildflowers in every color imaginable, dancing in the breeze as if they were putting on a show just for us.As we ventured deeper into the forest, the world around us seemed to transform into something straight out of a storybook.Moss-covered rocks and fallen logs became magical thrones for fairies and elves. Twisted roots and gnarled branches took on the shapes of mythical creatures, guarding the secrets of the forest. The further we walked, the more enchanted I became. There were little creeks and streams gurgling along, their crystal-clear waters sparkling like diamonds. Small waterfalls cascaded down rocky cliffs, creating a soothing symphony that lulled me into a state of pure bliss. At one point, we came across a clearing in the forest. It was like a secret garden, with a blanket of lush, emerald grass and a canopy of branches overhead, filtering the sunlight into a soft, golden glow. Butterflies danced from flower to flower, and tiny critters scurried about, going about their day.We decided to stop and have a picnic in this magical clearing. As we sat on the grass, munching on our sandwiches and sipping our lemonade, I couldn't help but feel like I was a part of something special. This forest was not just a collection of trees and plants; it was a living, breathing entity, full of wonder and mystery. After our picnic, we continued our adventure, exploring every nook and cranny of this enchanted realm. We spotted beautiful birds with feathers that shimmered like precious gems, and squirrels that seemed to be playing hide-and-seek among the branches. As the day drew to a close, and the sun began to set, the forest took on a whole new magic. The golden light filtered through the leaves, casting a warm, ethereal glow over everything. Fireflies started to twinkle and dance, like tiny fairies lighting up the path for us.Reluctantly, we made our way back to the trailhead, our hearts filled with memories that would last a lifetime. As we drove away, I gazed out the window, watching the forest fade into the distance, already missing its enchanting beauty. That magical forest will forever hold a special place in my heart. It showed me that there are still places in this world where wonder and imagination can come alive. It taught me to appreciate the beauty of nature and to always keep a sense of childhood wonder and curiosity.Whenever I find myself feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I close my eyes and picture that enchanted forest. I can almost smell the earthy scents, hear the whispers of the wind through the trees, and feel the soft grass beneath my feet. It's a reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and find the magic in the world around me.So, if you ever have the chance to visit a place that feels like a fairytale, don't hesitate. Embrace the wonder, let your imagination run wild, and create memories that will stay with you forever. Because in a world that often moves too fast, these magical moments are what truly make life beautiful.。
